[Q] Samsung Captivate music volume problem - Captivate Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey everybody i have a problem with my cappy. When i listen to music all of a sudden music volume decrease that i can barely hear it, sometimes it will increase to the normal for a few minutes and it will decrease back . I am currently running ICS 4.0.3, it did the same thing when i had cyanogenmod 7.1.
Than you.

Is this with headphones...or the actual speaker?

Its actual speaker, i was just on youtube listening to music and after 20-30 sec volume decreased all the way down, i could barely hear the music plays when i put the phone on to my ear, and the volume is all the way up.

[Q] ICS Music Volume Bug

Hi I updated my Note to ICS (LQ2) and for some reason whenever I listen to music during quiet parts of a song there will be no sound. When the song gets louder then the sound comes back on. This happens when the media volume is low like at 1 or 2. When I turn the media volume up however, it plays normally. Does anyone else experience this? I tried reflashing but the problem is still there. I've also tried other music players and even on Youtube videos the same thing happens.

[Q] Loudspeaker shuts off when too loud (Samsung Galaxy Note n7000)

Hi guys!
Few weeks ago my loudspeaker started to fail.
It happens when the sound gets too loud (usually more than 75% of the volume bar).
I can hear a brief click sound and then silence.
When this happens I have to stop the sound, usually by leaving the running app and turning the volume down. When I hit the volume threshold it happens again.
I tried resetting the phone, flashed other roms but the problem persisted (I am on Dirty Unicorns V6 from 02/02/2014).
Then suddenly, after few days speaker started working fine again, full volume bar and music buzzing. But after few days of happiness the speaker started shutting itself off again.
If I want to listen to anything loud I have to use and external speaker, both mini jack and bluetooth work fine on full volume bar.
Where is the problem.
Could that be a hardware issue?
Please help.

[Q] One volume bar for all apps - can this be made?

I am filled with red hot rage whenever I switch apps which use sound (music player, video player, game) and the volume is different. For example, I was listening to music on max volume with my headphones on this morning while walking to work. At work right now I'm testing apps with the volume all the way down so I don't bug my colleagues, but in one of the tests I needed sound. So I plug in my headphones, the music player kicks in and it's played at max volume. I have the music player set to autostart when I plug in headphones for other reasons, but why doesn't it take on the volume I've just set? Why does it need it' own volume setting?
Is it possible to have a module which just uses one volume setting for all apps? You lower the volume to 50% in MX player, it stays on 50% in Poweramp, Trials, Elevate or any other app.
AFAIK, this is not a standard Android behavior. Looks like your player app is trying to remember the last volume
setting it was playing with to later use it when it starts again. Try taking it up with the app developer.
If that's the case, there should at least be an option within app for such behavior.
It's been my experience that if you have the volume ALL the way down (vibrate), plugging in the headphones will turn the volume up. If you just have your volume low but not all the way down, plugging in the headphones won't change the volume. That's just anecdotal, though, so maybe I'm wrong. Is that consistent with what you're experiencing?

Nexus 6 Speaker Issues

Hi everyone, I have some speaker issues in my n6. The front dual speakers are fantastic and hands down the best I have ever used in any smartphone, but whenever my phone's battery level drops below 70%, the speaker volume automatically decreases, without me having to manually lower don the volume.
Whenever this thing happens with me , I immediately check the volume panel and there it says that its already max. Then when the phone's battery level drop to around 30%, the speaker volume decreases significantly as if I am listening to at half the volume and the volume panel still shows the volume to be at the max.
At first I thought, it must be a hardware issue, but that wasn't the case. when i watch videos on MX player, this problem doesn't seem to occur at all even if the battery is less than 10%. This problem only occurs whenever I use a music player. Earlier I used google play music, then I changed to sony walkman and I have also tried various other music players from the playstore as well but the problem always persists.
I even changed my roms for months , but still no luck.
My question to you guys is, does it happen with anyone else? How can I fix this issue if its not common?
Your help will be appreciated

Question Volume fluctuating Automatically

Hi,
I recently bought Redmi Note 10 Pro and it is on MIUI version 12.5.4. I have noticed that the volume automatically increases or decreases when I'm listening to music. This happens on every music app be it amazon, spotify or retro. I haven't noticed if the volume decreases on the speaker but it is more noticeable when I'm using earphones.
The volume decreases when the chorus or loud part of the music comes and volume increases when the music is low or slows down. When I check the volume bar to see if there's a change in that, there was none and the volume was set at the same level. I hope I'm making sense.
Is anybody else experiencing this? Is there a way to fix it?
Thank you!
I had the same issue and turing off Dolby Atmos helped so now I only use it when on speaker. For earphones and other jack/bluetooth devices I use old eqalizer
