So I ran that as well and it just goes to the charging screen the little battery symbol that is green and recovery never loads up?
So is there anyway to do this with odin for root and recovery?

Try flashing with odin. Download odin 1.85
http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=...IxHp1ISlP2fzGKhtw&sig2=UlJZ22a2ZwqNUSdKQZaUQg
Then download the proper recovery here

Boot your tab holding down the power button and the closest volune button
Instead of booting into recovery, enter into download mode.
Connect the device to your computer with the usb cable
Open up odin
Make sure you do not have repartion checked
Click pda and find that recovery file you downloaded on your computer
Click start and let it run. Do not interrupt it.
Hi
I faced the same by trying to flash CWM from rom manager itself.
I could resolve issue by just reflashing with odin correct clockworkmod recovery
I did the same thing than you
+ I rebooted using "reboot in recovery" so normal boot fail
+ BootLoader "Vol Down + Power" fail also because I tried to reach the recoverymod through it.
+ It doesn't reload
Somebody as any idea ?

Set the tablet down and let it die if it still has battery charge. if it doesn't have a charge hook it up to your charger and leave it there for a while. After some time has past with the charging cable still connected hold down the power and vol button and go into download. not recovery
then follow the steps of my previous post. Download odin and the proper recovery for your device and flash it through odin

Actually the device was bugged with a black screen, not turned off.
When I woke up this morning it was perfectly booted. So I turned it off and flashed the recovery again.
After putting my Gear into download mode and using the cradle and a usb cord to hook it up to my laptop to flash a recovery to it it got stuck on that screen, i would like to get this resolved red pretty fast, the gear is getting hot and i think it might get burned into the screen. Does anyone know a solution to this?

Did you untick auto-reboot ?
If you did, your gear wont automatically reboot once the flash has finished.. once you confirm the flash has completed, simply manually reboot your gear into recovery mode & you will be welcomed by the TWRP logo.
The whole point of unticking the "auto-reboot" option is so it doesn't boot back into the android OS, otherwise the recovery will be overwritten with the default one.. I repeat you must manually reboot your gear into recovery mode by holding down the power button.

Got the same problem right now. When I choose "Recovery", the Gear just turn off...
Hi there i am relatively new to android modding and rooting etc. I recently tried to install Cyanogenmod to my phone and I succeeded, but the next day my phone began to restart itself, turns out that the power button is broken. We tried to repair it but ended up burning down the processors internal i/o (latch or whatever structure it has) with a faulty multimeter . Now i have to turn on my phone with a dock cable (with 1kohm res) which wakes up the phone, i can access the Download mode by plugging in the dock, and pressing home+down, but the recovery needs the power button signal too.
I can access the recovery by using adb commands, but i need to boot in. If i install a new recovery like CWM, i am stuck in a bootloop and i don't know if i can use the adb commands. Is there any other way to get into recovery mode, besides home+power+up, or adb commands?
Can i install CM onto the phone under these circumstances?
Thanks for any help given!
Not sure how you are going to select options in recovery as you need the power button unless you have Touch Recovery or TWRP recovery. Anyway use this app to boot to recovery http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1423071

Well if i install a new recovery mod like clockworkmod then i'll be in one. That is why it is necessary to reboot in it so i can install the ROM.
Rather get your power button replaced.

Also, when I type adb reboot recovery in adb, it is stuck at the samsung logo and reboots back normal when I pull out the battery.

Have you try on flashing the firmware ? Revert back everything to the original because in the firmware will be including the recovery image.

Yep, I have tried that. Then I have a recovery, but when I try flashing a custom recovery again, there is no recovery.
Hi, as the title says, i can't boot to twrp when the phone is powered off. It will ignore what i push and just boot into cyanogenmod.
It used to work at some point, also i can get to twrp if i restart via the twrp app.
I should probably just reflash it?
If I'd somehow lock me from the os while experimenting, i could still run twrp via fastboot in ?
kind regards!
