Hi,
I made a rebuild of the official V20q Gingerbread Update. Install it in the CWM.
The V20q Baseband is available here (flash it with Smartflash):

In the second post, there's a tweak pack with interesting features and a battery mod.

Here's a tweak pack by me for this firmware.

• stopped "set apntype:deafult" logging (in both versions)

What's that?
I've downloaded but CWM give me an error (status 6).
I'm the only one?
Thanks!
I've tested it on my phone and it's working...
Ok, I will download it again...

Thanks for the tip, but with all browsers it doesn't work (but V20o mods are working on V20q).
Other users have the same problem today.

I made a few CM7 KANGs with few cherry-picks from CM7 sources, which are now included in RC1. So, it's pretty much the same now. I will release a CM7 based ROM when it gets more stable.
Anybody tried this rom? How is it? Fast, stable?
Looks good. Will test some more and report battery consumption.
One request: Can you please remove the volume buttons from the notification bar? Also PimpMyCpu shows that there are no governors present. Can you please fix that too?
Other than that good job!
It looks very nice.
Many Thanks

Tegra2 has internal cpufreq governor, therefore won't support standard governors. IF nVidia releases full sources, someone might be able to do something, until then I'm afraid we're stuck with stock governor.
Can you port any battery improvements from other kernels?

Requirements:
Optional but strongly recommended ist the latest 0725 Baseband for v20m. You will find it here (link taken from Hell_97).
Attention: This is a Full-Wipe-ROM, Backup your actual system first!
Features
- Cyanogenmod APN List
- Full Wipe ROM
- Restart Option in Shutdown Menu
- Extremely smooth scrolling
- many unnecessary apps have been removed for improvement of battery life. but they can still be flashed afterwards on purpose.
- deodexed
- zipaligned
- LED-Buttons brightness dimmed by 50% by default -- can be increased with apps from the market
- fast and stable, high RAM for a long time
- animated wallpapers won't lag
- rooted
- SD card Speed optimizations
- Horsepower Kernel RC11 and self-modified RamDisc (please don't use spica's PerformancePacks over this ROM and only use the kernels linked in this posting if you want your system to remain stable -- the PP's will mess up the well chosen init scripts and property settings)
- overclocking to 1,4 Ghz
- No SQLite performance patch as the RC11 kernel is used -> you will receive lower benchmark results than ROMs using the patch, but this patch can't/shouldn't be used with RC11 due to possible freezes
- Button Backlight Alert compatibility
- Undervolting possible
- modified hosts File for blocking of spam pages
- various performance-, ram- and battery-tweaks
- init.d functionality
- supports custom bootlogos
- modded LG Kamera App (v2.1 by AndyCP with original Icon of LG-Cam by me)
- Bravia Engine by Owain for better displayed images quality
- ready for UOT Kitchen Themes, but please do only use themes based on v20E, as v20L/M themes will cause USB notification disappear from statusbar after mass storage has been enabled
- actual Busybox preinstalled (v1.19.3)
- silent boot / shutdown

Problems & Solutions
If GPS isn't working:
open HiddenMenu with 1809#*990#, choose GPS Test
In Settings:
"MOLR Protokoll" -> "User Plane"
"SUPL Settings" -> "SPL Server" -> choose "LGE SUPL" instead of "google(Open)"
SLP Auto Provision activated
"C-Plane" -> "Loc Estimate"
"Misc" -> activate "Auto Cold Start"
Second possibility: put gps.conf (1.32 KB) http://www.multiupload.com/F4AQDOJ9N5 in the /system/etc folder. With this you have to boot your phone with activated GPS otherwise it might not get a fix!
If you get freezes using RC11, try not to undervolt, make sure you don't use pathed SQL libs and if this doesn't help try another Kernel from post #1. With the older kernels you can also use the patched SQL files linked in post #1 which will give you higher benchmarks (though no real higher performance).

This looks good, great work!
Hej Gueste,
This ROM is very welcome to XDA..!! I have used the ROM , downloaded from handy-faq ( google translate, ofcourse) and very much delighted by the smoothness and reliability of it. This one is a neat and clean ROM, with pretty much everything one should ask for ( or make what we would have thought when we bought a P990 in the first place).
I have been using Topogigi on a regular basis, before actually seeing your ROM. I found it is a better and stable alternative to people who want their phones to be reliable and actually useful without problems ( not that I have encountered any problems so far, but that is my experience).
Thank you very much for bringing this great work to the rest of the humanity
Welcome here too. Thanks for zour rom.
Very good one

Fix the link please. TIA
Re-upload this on multiupload or somewhere. " HP_Kernel_RC11_TB_modForGueste2xv2.1.zip (6.4 MB) "
Thanks.
Im gonna be using this rom rather than hell_97's because of filesonic.
Juice Defender always freezes the phone for me, can this be used with a phone that's already uv/oc?
Edit: Phone froze on me again, pulled the battery and this time the whole system gets corrupted. I get lots of FCs on reboot and telling me to reinstall my keyboard, whatsapp, etc that runs on startup. Must be the rc11 behaving like rc10.
Going to try SR2. I'm guessing these HP zip files are custom tailored for this ROM so I can't use the official zips. Can you make one with RC9? That's been very stable.
rom looks good, but gps is not working.
FYI

ROM looks quite fast but i had three freezes with three calls....had to pull out the battery and restore....
Used the RC 11 link and did the flash...is it because of that....I have BB20M flashed and also the RIL using GetRIL...
restore the Topo 20M updated by Striatum_bdr...
Thanks for the hard work but would like to know the reason.
i think rc11 is the culprit for the freezes! the rom is really fast and stable now im using it with rc9 and launcher7 without any lag.. for the 20mb hack, if it's possible then i think it would be a great addition to this rom.. we can always make use of extra 20mb rather than leave it to useles ota update right?

The only app that I miss is the build-in FM radio but I have not been able to make it work. You can use internet radio such as TuneIn Radio (just perfect). If someone is able to make the build-in radio work with Miui roms, please, let us know.
Installation GUIDE:
1. Enter CWM Recovery. Choose "Wipe Data/Cache" option. Let it finish.
REMARK: If you already have a MIUI rom just continue from here.
2. Choose "Install zip from SD Card", select the rom and wait until the end.
3. Select "Wipe Cache" then go to Advanced and select "Wipe Dalvik Cache". Reboot now!
4. Choose your language.
4. Enjoy!
I recommend fully charging the battery and then go to the CWM and choose the option "wipe battery stats".
IMPORTANT: Once the rom is installed the unlock theme is in Spanish but I've also included an english version. Just change the theme. I remember you that the player can be activated on the lockscreen by double touching on the date picture.
LG RIL fix: You must activate the "Compatibility mode" so that you can see the letters that indicate the installed Baseband.

Very promising ROM. I'm wondering if you have also implemented the framework hack and the tweak pack in your package?

Thanks, gracias amigo.
Do you know how to reduce the stength of the soft buttons feedback?
in spanish:
sabes cómo reducir la intensidad de la vibración de los botones fisicos? en cm7 se puede pero en miui no y es algo molesto.
gracias, thanks.
Hi Moon,
I would suggest you put your tutorial " how to root, install recovery and flash P990 " in your signature. It helped me so much in the initial time and I have never thanked you sufficiently for the support.

Well, the scrolling hack is in my opinion always an improvement because now scrolling kinda sucks. (scrolling a WhatsApp conversation is terribly unsmooth)
Maybe you can also add the extended settings mod, it would be nice to have a all-in-one rom that doesn't require you to flash additional tweaks/mods.

First +1
+2 is , it would be great if you include a UV / OC supported kernel ( iron, vork or fps .. ) whichever you think that will give good scrolling and even better battery life.
PS. Downloading now. Will test and give you feedback. I do like MiUi for obvious reasons .

Yes, the bluetooth must be enabled for the radio to work propertly but I've tried everything and I'm not capable to make it work.
I am repeating and desperately asking in each miui rom
Is skype video call fixed in your rom (pic inverted) while it works perfectly on cm7 and stock
Thanks if you can confirm or if you can fix it taking it from cm7
Thx

Update.
I already have another ROM (Gueste's). Did a complete wipe - data, cache, dalvik and system. Then installed your ROM. But got stuck in boot animation loop. Have faced the same behaviour with Wajik's ROM as well. I think if I flash original MiUi and then flash your ROM above that, then it will work.
Have to download MiUi full , I think. Will get back to you later.
Addendum. It worked. Flashed original MiUi and over that flashed your ROM. Nice one..! Even though it is known not to work, I flashed 725 Asia RIL over V20M BB. I am getting signal, and test today to see how the voice quality etc. Scrolling smoothness is ok. Still it is a pity that neither the modded camera, nor the original MiUi one is up to the mark as that of AndyCP's moded one - available in other stock based ROMs :-(
error 509. do u have another link moon?
Thanks for this ROM, something like that was what I was looking for power with elegance CM9 MIUI. I installed it last night and now it's all very well, when I have more information I will share with you. A Salute!

Flashing Rebuild don't need flashing bb ?
Inviato dal mio LG-P990 con Tapatalk 2
You have to flash baseband with smartflash. CWM Roms for O2X are without baseband.
So far, so good! V20S Rebuild + Tweak Pack with FD on works like a charm with your "not so" experimental Kernelbuild
But Sat-Fix seems too be way slower than V20q Rebuild.
Can anyone confirm this?

Flashed the 38p radio, but battery drain is still significant. I hope this will get solved. It's hard to go back to CM7 after using this ROM.
Can I flash this over epinters cm10.1? And is battery life any better than epinter?

Personally I think it is better, but not significantly. The battery drain is a kernel issue so a different ROM can only improve it slightly.
You should be able to flash it over epinter's CM10.1 I suggest making a backup before.

reset when you receive sms
too much of a warming
I am not getting you what do you mean. If you are talking about warning message before sending SMS you can disable them by choosing remember my choice.
Why is the clock in the notification panel blue, I was using this ROM, but that annoyed me, and all the notifications are weird, like Google Play Music covers (in Notification Bar) are just white with a cross.
^^ Its the framework you change theme Like to Jellyblack It will change clock to Blakish grey. There are really good themes will will be good there.
