Are you crazy, pics is so much better, if you love only utilizing 1 core then stay with gingerbread, but if you want to use the full power of the phone you want ICS, I used Odin and flashed my n7000B Telstra to a stock Pics from and am really happy now with this phone.
I came from a HTC sensation with ICS to the note and was really dissapointed with the note, but now I have ICS on the note I am happy as hell, the phone is super smooth.and battery life is great I get a full day easy with GPS off and email sync set hourly.
BTW I did not root my device yet.
Hello everyone,
One of my friends is looking to sell his barely used Note which he bought last month for a very good price. I may get for as low as $270. I checked the phone and I loved the screen but not the plastic-y feeling.
My question is: do you guys think it's still worth buying a Note(am not willing to pay for a note 2)? My other question is that I am a Gnex user running jelly bean and I wanted to know if there are any good jb roms available for the note ?
I also heard that Samsung said it would update the note to the official 4.1.1!

For that price, get it

How's the battery life on the note? Is there any official extended battery or any extended that doesn't make the phone bulky?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus
ya you should get it as note 1 will be getting JB update's soon

Okay thanks mod. How's the battery life? Screen time on the note? Is there multiple builds of the gsm note?

If I had some different build, could I change it and flash the new 4.0.4 since the phone has 4.0.3?

you can outrightly flash stock 4.0.4 to the Gnote. You can either go flashing it via PC KIES or PC Odin. If you want custom Rom's then there's plenty around this forum as well... Just do a search on the 'Android Development' thread and check out some custom Roms that might suit to your liking.
Off topic but why do people consider the Note cheap plastic feeling? I've always had HTC before this and this phone doesn't feel cheap at all to me
probably because of the compactness. When you take battery cover off you might think cheap. I don't, It's practical so thin. So far it works great, wasn't expecting that lol

I am interested in buying galaxy note and I am switching from galaxy s2.Should I do this? What you guys would better prefer because I have heard alot of laaging problems with the galaxy note was that on gingerbread or still the lagging is on ice cream sandwich? And I received the jelly bean update official for my galaxy s2 and I also heard that galaxy note Jelly bean update is near.Is that already on the galaxy note?
I would really appreciate your help
Thanks for reading and please reply.......
Galaxy note is much better than s2..I had my note for more than a year and i never felt like lagging.Jellybean update is almost near
If money is not a problem, then note 2 is a bit better than note

Some people over the web said that it lags horribly compared to galaxy s2 due to larger pixels but according to you it is lagless?

Nope, it is much smoother than the s2. Under heavy load, of course any dual core will lag.
Mine laggs sometimes! If I where you I would get the Note 2! I'm on 4.1.2

watch the size !
I had galaxy S2 for a few months then shifted to G. Note.
Galaxy note is wonderful: the big screen is wonderful for reading and watching videos and i didn't feel any lag (may be on gingerbread) but not on ICS 4.0.4
but it's a BIG phone. it doesn't fit easily into pockets and makes you looks weired when you use it in public.
I didn't use a note II but I think it has a strange screen aspect ratio.
I have a Galaxy Note with stock and official Jelly Bean (The leak. the final version is comming this month). Yesterday i've used a Galaxy S3, there is no difference! The original note its smooth and fast with Jelly Bean, and the UI is the same as S3/Note 2. The Galaxy S2 has a Low Res screen with lower pixels per inch, so the S2 has more laggy animations than a XHDPI screen. Sorry my bad english!
I think I have the answer now and it is going for the note.
Thanks for replies

Can anyone say what the absolute blazing edge latest most recent firmware version is for Samsung Galaxy s3 mini international.
I'm in UK and want a reliable stock rooted experience. Trying to test to see if the GPS problems I'm having after phone sleeps are rom/kernal/radio related
Thanks all

does the galaxy s3 mini has the sudden death syndrome or not?
cause i wanna buy and i wanna ensure that it won't die after who know how much time LOL
if it does so how can i ensure it is infected?
for example on the gs3 i9300 only the 16GB models had the sudden death so how can i know if the s3 mini has it or not?
Idk for sure but I had my mini for 6 months now on custom rom dmod6 no issues so far

I've had this phone since February, flashed almost every ROM available, soft bricked a couple of times and even corrupted the pit file and it still works lol. The phone is versatile.
Currently running AOKP and will flash the updated cm10.1 when I find the time.
