Hello everyone,
I have a question. Once I installed some new rom on my galaxy note (N7000 white) I did a full wipe - that included formating my phone's SD storage. Unfortunately I forgot to make a backup of SAMSUNG folder that came with the device. It's not that important but there were some useful stuff inside, like a perfect looking demo clip, a quick guide, some wallpapers, etc. Is there any chance someone could share this folder or knows where to get it?
Many thanks in advance

If any of your friend has N7000, then copy from their Note.

Hi everyone , Happy Holidays to You All !
I got myself into a little mess or a big one , that remains to be seen .
I purchased the Sprint Galaxy Tab for my wife as Christmas present .Of course I had to mess with it .I deleted some stock apps . Now everything related with media , wont work .The drmua.apk I removed I am sure is coursing all my problems .i might have misspelled it lightly . but there is only apk that starts like that .The result is I cant download from app store , it keeps freezing on download , cant set a wallpaper that I saved or picture I took . Pictures will get saved on memory card but cant be viewed . same thing with videos and most media .It seems there is no firmware , I turned the Web upside down .Unless one of You knows where I can get. Perhaps an owner of same Sprint Galaxy Tab can upload me a backup of the drmu.apk ,Sprint Media Hub and any sprint.apk .
And hope I hope that will fix it .Please someone help me on this , I am totally lost on this .Please learn from my mistake and dont delete any vital .apk or do a Backup if you need to mess with it .I was so sure it was safe to delete those Anyways thank You for Your time and God Bless

PM me your email address and I will send it to you
Here ya go
That's all I have, I removed all of the Sprint stuff, if you need more get it from the Sprint Tab dump
http://www.multiupload.com/1RTUVPOGZ6
Hope this helps
You should never delete apps, add an extension like .remove to the end of it, Android won't notice the file and it will immediately stop running on your device while still in the app folder.
Hi all. Can somebody tell me, is it possible to recover sph-p100 after flash(that was a big error) with files from other sph-p100. Something like to make dump of all system files and flash them with odin?
P.S. sorry for my english
wow , thanks guys , i am going to try this . I let u guys know if i have sucess .
Sorry I am a noob .I cant replace or over install system application .
I followed these directions below in red with root explorer , but I had no luck .
Sorry to pester .Is there another way of just replacing all the app at once ?
I have the sprint system dump , thanks to kyrumo71 . or just flash them with the dump somehow .I am way over my head with this , but its a learning process .A detailed guide would be helpful and suggestions .Thanks again !
(-Place the apk(s) of the apps on your sdcard.
-Use your chosen means to copy the apk(s) to /system/app (this will require making /system/app writable. In Root Manager just press the R/W key when you're exploring /system/app).
-You now need to change the app's permissions. In Root Manager, long press on the app (in /system/app) and click on "permissions". Then make sure that only the following boxes are clicked: User Read, User Write, Group Read, Others Read.
-Make sure you make /system/app read only again by clicking that box in the top right while you're exploring the folder.
-Reboot phone.
Now the apps should be loaded and the system should recognize them as system apps (you can verify by opening Titanium and noticing they're in red). This should make you good to go for whatever OTA comes. If you're unsure which apks in the system dump correspond to the apps you've deleted, just explore your /system/app and compare it to the system dump app list. Any apks in the dump but not in yours are what you're looking for.
Just a simple question but let me give you my situation first. I was on Samsung based roms for months then I finally manned up and tried out CyanogenMod and I havent switched back. Well there is some data I have in the Memo.apk that i have backed up with Titanium Backup and I really wanna avoid having to go back to Apex to copy all that info onto a piece of paper then copy it onto a non samsung note app but im wondering if there is anyway I can view the data on my iMac?
Great question, interested in an answer too.

Inside the backup zip file, there will be two folders (data and dbdata).
Under data/files may be some .vnt (vNote) files that you can open in a text editor (line feeds will be encoded as =0D=0A ).
Under dbdata/databases/com.sec.android.app.memo is a Memo.db. This is an SQLite database. You can use any SQLite viewer/editor to see the data (for example, sourceforge.net/projects/sqlitebrowser/files/sqlitebrowser/2.0%20beta1/ [sorry, I can't link it]). The data will be in the table memo_content in the column c2content.
Wow dude thanks

WOW! 2 days was googling to and finally found this post! cannot thank somehow, but thank you.
I'm experiencing problems with Samsung Gear VR.
I have Note for version SM-910F and I had to update the firmware over Odin to the latest version compatible with Gear VR. My stock firmware wasn't.
Everything went just right in installing the applications Gear VR asked for but after finishing installation and try to start the oculus app, it leads me to the tutorial over and over. I never finish the tutorial. The last thing that i'm allowed to do is touch and press the back button at Gear VR, after that it seems that it come back just like a loop to the beggining of the tutorial again.
Please can someone help me.
Thanks in advance

Thank you again for your help but I did not have this folder at this address you said.
I've found something similar inside Phone\data\data\com.samsung.android.app.vrsetupwizard\files but it is empty.
There is another folder at the same place with the name: com.samsung.android.app.vrsetupwizardtub\files but is also empty.
I've looked for in internal memory and in the sd card that came with Gear VR.
I don't know what to do. I've already uninstalled and installed again but nothing has changed and after your help I realized that we did not have the same folder names.
Any other guess?

I know it's a bit of a nuclear option but why don't you factory reset the phone and start again from scratch?
Sent from my SM-T320 using XDA Free mobile app
Yes I think that can be a good idea but really annoying. I would like to explore all the possibilities before have to do this.

On my phone its in the following location below
/storage/extSdCard/Oculus/VrIntro/
If you still dont see it there do a search of all the *.mp4 video files you have, one of them should say vr intro
Did you ever resolve this? I have the same issue. I've confirmed the presence of the vrintro.mp4 when backing the SD card contents up.
Hi friends,
As we all know, sammy devices comes with lots of junks and bloats which hardly we use.
So, i was looking for a thread where i could find a way to debloat/remove excess system files from J7/6 but i was quite depressed when i found no link for my device. Although some nice techies have posted zip from other sources, i mean some debloater zips are directly posted here from s6 groups. And as we know that not all devices have same bloats or junks or having different names of same bloats.
That's why i tried to do some changes on a zip made by @TENN3R (Originally made by @ambasadii . Thanks both of you man) and finally come here with this work. Hope you'll love it.
Before flashing this zip, my device system part was showing 118mb space. After flashing zip modded by me, i got whopping 1.19gb free space in system.
All i can say is, your device system will have a great amount of space to breath which will surely show you result in battery life + performance (as per my experience I'm getting +15/20% battery life and performance is superb)
So, let's come to the point. There's attached zip, download it & move it to device internal storage/sdcard/usbotg. Reboot to recovery (your device must be rooted with TWRP recovery preinstalled). Flash this zip and wipe dalvik/cache. Reboot to system and you'll see that almost all junks is removed.
To know which apps it removes and if you want to keep some system apps, open zip, copy updater script on your pc, open updater script with notepad++, check all apps names one (takes hardly few minutes) and if you want to keep any app in system and don't want to remove it, just remove that whole line. For example, if you want to keep "GoogleContactsSyncAdapter", remove line contains that app name ? runs ("/sbin/rm", "-rf", "system/app/GoogleContactsSyncAdapter"); ? including semicolon same as shown here.
I suggest you to take backup of all apps (system/app & system/priv-app) so in case you want to restore any app, you can do it. It will remove some unwanted junk apps from csc folder also, (Yes it will remove bike mode too)
I have tested this zip few times on my device (SM-J710GN) and on one another device (SM-J710FN) and there's no any fc or issues. So i think it's worth trying.
But as we all say here, I'm not responsible if your device get bootloops, your wife hits you or your dog bites you for some reasons.
Do not forget to hit thanks button. :fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed:

i did not succeeded with installation of this zip. TWRP just said that it failed.
Good work! I must try it out.
Excellent! Works like a charm! Thank you a lot. I've done a video guide (sub Eng). Hope this can be helpful.

Here is the original zip file attached.
You should edit the script according to your needs before flash.
Because it also remove sbrowser, nfcui, sbike etc. etc.

I know this thread was old thread, but I'm just want to asking why my J7 2016 can't open setting after i flash the debloater?
Hi guys, I'm looking for a step by step tutorial for Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 MIUI 12.0.10 on Android 10 or anything similar to help restore deleted pictures for a friend of mine and that's what for I need to root the device. Also wouldn't mind if there would be anything about making a backup copy and just in case how to use it, just in case I've messed up Also if anything happens to the Note 9 I've got a backup phone for her (my old OnePlus 5, still working like a champ ), but I believe that with some help I'll be able to do it.
uhh rooting requires deleting all data from the phone mate..
try diskdigger app (doesnt need root) to find deleted pictures
it's impossible to recover deleted files. all these apps can do is search for (existing) thumbnails or cached pictures. don't waste your time in illusions.

actually you're wrong, when a file gets "deleted" it just disappears from you seeing it but it's still there, the image is marked for deletion if something else needs the space it is taking up, but if you manage to use a app to recover it before it is overwritten you can recover it
you are talking about hard disk drives, not smartphones.
