I had to reflash my phone with gingervolt 1.3, after being stuck in CWM and using the recovery file to get it booted. After flashing 1.3 it will boot and stay on for about 30 seconds before rebooting. any help?

Are you doing the "Factory Reset" option in the settings menu? If so, you're not supposed to a factory reset that way. You should only do a factory reset through the Recovery menu.
Also is your phone plugged in. I found if mine is then it just stays at the boot screen. Kind of like if you turn your phone on when its plugged in it shows the charging screen and you have to restart it again to get it to boot

I did a factory reset from the phone and realized you werent supposed to only after it was done. now it stays booted and usable for 30 seconds before rebooting again. I cant even use lgnst to fix my phone because it doesnt stay booted long enough to apply usb debugging mode and what not.
Any ideas of what i can do? i can still get into CWM if that helps.

Did you flash the exit recovery zip?
Sent from my VS910 4G using xda premium
yes i have flashed it and it doesnt help. i think thats just if you are stuck in recovery and im not.
I had this same problem horribly, couldn't even use my phone. Gingervolt 2.0 has mostly fixed it, no more rebooting as soon as the home screen loads anyway.
I used to be able to get it out of the endless reboot cycle by quickly opening up the settings dialog as soon as it was possible and randomly opening and closing sub-menus for about a minute... at least that would get it to stop for a little while so I could use the thing!

my phone continuously goes into the cm7 logo, after i let it sit for awhile it finnaly loads to home screen but is in safe mode, then after a few seconds it goes into cm7 logo again and keeps loading the cm7 logo like 10 times, what should i do?
try wiping everything again including boot, data, system, cache, sdexit, and dalivik. then reinstall cm7+gapps s if that dosnt work try flashing one of decas capped kernals.

Pull the battery. When it's off hold down the home button then press power.
How the hell did you root your phone and flash a rom without knowing how to get to recovery.

no comment lol.
/me puts $50 on Rom Manager
~maybe I set it too high...
Ok, I'm having a similar issue - I had clockwork as my recovery... no matter what I flashed, the phone would boot, then restart. After installing gapps, it would get a little further - to the "welcome to hero" screen - but the phone restarts shortly thereafter.
I've restored Sprint's rom (2.1) and it's STILL rebooting. Notably - it does NOT reboot while in recovery (which makes me think it's not a hardware issue?)
any ideas? (sorry for threadjacking)
*also, I wipe everything (boot/system/data/dalvik) every time I flash... not sure if it matters
Id say try reflashing your current recovery and see if that helps. Also I'd recommend trying to redownload the rom your trying to flash you might just have gotten a bad download. Hope this helps.

After trying the update(made cwm backups btw) the phone is in a reboot loop cycle. However, I can't get back into CWM in order to restore the backup i made or even the revo_stock or the stockrooted zip. I can get into the OS to the point where it wants me to select a language then it tries to find the SIM and fails completely and reboots. If i pull the battery and try to boot from the power on the USB it will reboot to the LG logo then instantly reboot again... Ideas anyone?
cliffs:
-backed up in cwm
-tried to install gingervolt
-stuck in reboot mode
-cannot access cwm to restore
Did you wipe data both times MT said? Maybe try wiping again?
Did you try flashing from a froyo ROM?
Wiped date both before and after the flash of gingervolt. I was using the decrapped rom 1.1
I would happily go back and try to clear the data again, however i cannot access CWM in order to do so after the gingervolt flash... Even using the power button+volume down i get no access...

I had the same thing happen to me. Although once it rebooted i was able to bypass the setup process and just manually do it from the home screen.
If you can't even get past the LG logo without it rebooting, I also had that happen to me on my last phone a few months ago. I called Verizon and they said that they had reports of other phones doing that too. Unfortunately I never figured out how to fix it. The problem was that it never stayed on long enough for the computer to recognize it.
Flashing Gringerbread ROMS from froyo breaks this phone. I did that same thing
restoring a back up is what you need how to get there idk
I haven't had much luck getting the phone to do anything, it will stay turned on for ~2-3 minutes then instantly reboot...

CWM reboot loop
Use this zip from thecubed it works wonders.
My phone would not go past reboot option in CWM
Search fast boot loop thread for further instructions on how to use it.
I pulled the SD card from my Revo and used it in my old win mobile Omnia so it would mount on my PC then I copied the zip onto the stuck Revo card.
Well after a few hours of tinkering i got her working... CWM never wanted to register but finally after about 100 tries of power on+vol it actually caught and booted into cwm. from there it was a cake walk until i got into gingervolt and it refused to allow the phone to come out of airplane mode(why this was even on is beyond me). after about 4 reboots the phone is working flawlessly...
OK so my problem is as stated above. My exhibit boots to the Samsung logo for about 3 seconds then reboots in a continuing sequence. I have tried entering recovery mode with no luck as the phone does not stay on long enough. I am able to boot into download mode however, when i tried restoring the stock firmware nothing happened. Its says that everything went well but the phone keeps rebooting in the same pattern. Though this is no longer my primary phone I would like to get it fixed. Any help is deeply appreciated.

When you get to recovery try hitting the menu button several times with a pause in between. If you can get in, wipe data and you will be good to go.

Hi all
I reflashed an old i9000 with CM10.1 for my wife recently, and everything seemed to be working fine. Then it started behaving a bit funny and this week it started rebooting at random. I thought "no worries, I'll just do a fresh flash with stock GB".
However, before I could even give that a go the phone started acting even weirder. As soon as I put the battery in it powers on (without me even pushing the button) but it resets every time it hits the Samsung splash screen. Earlier today I could get it to go into CWM recovery and after clearing cache I actually got it to boot up. But by the time I had downloaded the stock GB files the phone was just constantly resetting at the Samsung logo and now I can't even get it to load CWM recovery using the 3-button method.
I can get it to enter Download mode, and it shows up in Odin just fine. But within 5 seconds it resets itself again so I can't actually perform a flash.
Any suggestions? Or is the phone just plain busted?

I'm just going to answer my own question as I've solved the problem but it may benefit someone else to know how.
It got to the point where the phone wasn't even booting to the Samsung splash screen, but I could still get Download mode to show up for 5 seconds (not long enough to flash). Then in a moment of desperation I got the original Samsung microUSB cable and plugged that in, and booted into Download mode again. This time Download mode stuck! And I was able to flash a clean GB ROM which is now working fine.
So the take-out from my experience is this: sometimes you really do have to use the original Samsung USB cable.
Weird.
Thanks for reporting howto ...:good: good to know

I have a similar issue where I'm trying to flash my stock ROM on my Epic4gTouch. When it opens up the download mode error I start to flash and all seems to work before it reboots. Every 5 seconds. I tried the original cable and it did not help. Any ideas??

Today I left my phone in a cab and got it back in the evening. But after I got my phone it was stuck in a boot loop (after force restart - power button press and hold - it will go to battery icon and automatically restart after a few minutes and again goes to battery icon). Please see the video to understand the boot loop. Unfortunately, Developer options of the phone were not enabled.
Can boot to recovery but can boot to fastboot.
Can you please help me to boot my phone back to normal or sideload a ROM via adb.
tia
Was able to fix the issue. Followed below steps,
1. Kept phone until the battery fully drains
2. Plugged into the charger and charged the phone up to around 65% while the phone is switched off.
3. Switched on the phone when the cable is disconnected.
4. This time the phone was booted to recovery. No battery logo anymore
5. From recovery, rebooted the phone. But again it was booted to recovery.
6. Wiped all data and rebooted.
7. Phone was booted to MIUI os but had to set up the phone again from the beginning.

Same problem bro, did u resolve it???
I think your battery is empty. Leave it on power for a while and check if its charging. Maybe the charginglevel is too low for booting up.

I hope it was that simple ..it seems probably like a bad update. My gfs phone did the similar today
The digitizer stopped working, I force reset the phone and boom ..recovery mode - Trying everything but it doesn't work. Wipe surely would work but she has pictures and videos so I'm trying to avoid that. Plug it to charging but she remembers it had like 75% of battery ...geez (hoping for a miracle)
EDIT: Probably this happen from the bad xiaomi update, anyway I did wipe the data and as expected it work without an issue, I'll unlock this phone and ditch MIUI (I mean I did it to my phone Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S from day 1 - I hate miui) ..now my gf has a reason to hate it too
A factory reset could be painful, since you would lose everything on the device. I saw a guy tap all over the back of the phone with two fingers, and boom! The Redmi Note 10 Pro boot normally! I tried it on a friend's phone, and it worked.
Hello,I had a kind of a similar thing.
I left my phone to charge and when I was back it seems to be stuck in a boot loop(MIUI14)
Well,I tried to force restart but the same.
Before I go to recovery mode, accidently,I putted the phone in fastboot mode.I restarted it in the try to go to recovery mode but the phone started normally. After boot,it's shows an update compete message,so te problem was from an android security path update whatever.

I have important apps on the phone and I wasnt thinking about a factory reset anyway but hopefully it worked in that way
