idk, I guess after 5years of High School I'm finally on track for Graduation.. And being the only one of my siblings to get this Far in my Education (LOL) and have a plan for when I'm out... USMC!

Lived for 5 months in the mountains of Papua New Guinea back in 2001. One of the most defining events of my life.

My greatest achievement was the day I saw my son being born. The day I became a father. There's no feeling like it. <3

My life is immensely boring.
My greatest achievement was being number one in a song on Rock Band 3 for a while, until some people took me out currently ranked 3rd in it.

Originally building up the balls to ask my current GF of 4 years to go out with me. I'm an extremely shy person when it comes to girls in person, it took every bit of strength to physically get myself to over come my fear of rejection and and ask her. LOL yaaaaa
Also going back to school and acquiring my GED.

My achievement is not quite now but in the near future.. I will become a fully qualified mechanic ( my love of cars has been life long) used to visit my uncles garage when i was 5.. now I'm 19(20 in 2 weeks) I'm working in that same garage

Totally off the grid while in the mountains. Every few weeks we'd make a trip to town for supplies and while there we would stay a day or so in guest housing at a university so that was the chance to take a hot shower and have electricity. Otherwise we lived in a hut, collected rain for water, cooked over a fire, and used a man-made outhouse. I'll try to get some of my photos scanned and uploaded when my day slows down.

9|11 Never Forget

Just a thank you to all service men and women, Firefighters, Law Enforcement, and all who risk their lives to keep us safe. Also, to the heroes that prevented further destruction on flight 93.
I hope we all take a moment tomorrow to remember those that lost their lives on 9|11.
+1. This should be a sticky.

"9/11 the start of a massacre that's running 10 years strong in 3 countries, it started by terrorist attacking New york to Terrorist attacking Iraq and Afghanistan, Civilian Casualties: NY, USA= 3000, Iraq +Afghanistan =137,000 (just a low estimate), May God be with us all and grant those who suffered due to this tragedy and it's aftereffects patience and hope"
"On 9/11, I'll mourn the nearly 3,000 lives lost, the over 6,000 injuries, the infrastructural carnage and devastation in NYC, and the humiliation of my country, all perpetrated ignorantly in the name of my religion.
On 9/12, I'll mourn the nearly 1,000,000 lives, the 10's of millions of injuries, the infrastructural decimation in 3 countries, and the humiliation of my religion, all perpetrated ignorantly in the name of my country."
Not sure who said either, but I like them both.
On this day of remembrance, my heartfelt sympathies go out to the families of those who lost loved ones on 9/11.
And to those who feel the only way to further their political agenda is through cowardly acts of terror, targeting innocent civilians,
eternal damnation in the fiery pits of hell shall be your reward, not 40 virgins.
lest we forget.
let us dedicate 1 minute of our lives in rememberance to the innovent victims whom have lost their lives

I agree. Let us not forger about ALL the innocent lives that were lost. Here and there. Many more 'there.' And I'm not even talking about people serving our country. 9/11 was terrible, but so has been the response.

And how could retaliation for such an act of terrorism be anything but terrible ??
Can you morons with your anti-war blinders just go away, just for today, please? This is about remembering those lost a decade ago, not discussing how bad you think the response was, or how the US Government is also terroristic.
Start your own thread about the merits of the altercation in the desert. But please, in this thread, just shut the **** up.

Sorry, but I don't believe that this was somehow justified, or the only response, and I'm not sure how you can justify the response to what was a terrible event in NYC.
Its not about 'being terrible' in terms of a response. Its about going into places we didn't need to go and responding by killing countless numbers of innocent women, children and innocent people as a whole.
You can't justify the response. In any way. 9/11 was terrible. What has happened since has been just as much so.

I personally find it pretty disgusting that this thread which was clearly intended by the OP to be one of remembrance has turned into an argument. Go and argue in PMs or something.

This is just another example of how the XDA community as a whole has been getting worse and worse. Great intentions by the OP ruined by people more intent on starting controversy.

Help with Vehicle

Hello all, all your inputs are greatly appreciated.. i was looking to trade in my current car(dodge charger) for something i need, for comfort, reliable, and quality..
my choices are(order doesn't matter)
1. Porsche Cayenne 2008-present (some one told me it's just too much of a money eater, so i don't know if it's true or not)
2. Lexus Lx 570 2008 to present( co-worker told me it's an oldman luxury)
3. Chevy Tahoe 2008 to present(drove and tested it, it's cool)
4. Jeep Grand Cherokee 2011 - present(yet to drive and test it)
Thanks....
Tahoe, explorer, silverado, or f-150. You can't really go wrong with any of them new. I like the explorer, since that's been the majority of my families vehicles and now my first. They have been more then trouble free. Good luck, take one for a drive.

Its kinda bad when an apple co-founder says he thinks ios is worse then android. On top of that he says that ios vs. Android is like windows vs Mac. And we all know who won there.

Quad suggestions?

I might be getting a quad as a graduation gift. I wanted to get a Kawasaki kfx400 purely cause I like Kawasaki. And suggestions as to what I should get? I'm in no ways a n00b, and want around a 400 CC engine. Thanks

One thing I learned. Never go company based. Most company's have better quads in certain area. Second, want a utility or sport? I'd rather get a sport because, they are great for pretty much all types or riding. They have a wide power band and are light. Utility are heavy generally, can take lots of abuse. Low power end.
I would definitely recommend KFX 450r, and the YZF 450r. And if you think you're man enough, the Raptor 700 r

Family needs prayers updated

Hello,
I am writing to reach out to this wounderful community. Today my 2 year old was diagnosed with leukemia and an unknown viral disease. As you all know this is never good news but it is even harder for us as it was right in the middle of a major move for us from Ohio to Georgia. Unfortunetly I have to proceed with the move and will be about 700 miles from my wife and daughter as they will be staying in Ohio for treatment at Akron Childrens Hospital. I will be flying from Georgia to Ohio as often as I can.
It breaks my heart to see my daughter going threw this. It is especially hard for me because I am a paramedic and I can't fix this.
Please keep my wife and daughter in ur prayers.
Simcerely,
James E Studer NREMT-P, EMSI
UPDATE:
Today she gets her med port. We did get some good news. She has the most common type. It will be a long road of treatment but we should have a great outcome. Thank you all for the prays.
UPDATE 6-26-2012:
Yesterday my daughter was discharged from the hospital. Today we will be reunited as a family in our new home in Georgia. We have a long road ahead of us. She has 2 years worth of chemo to do.
Donations: Since peoe have asked there is a page on facebook for my daughter Zoe Paige Studer. Easiest way is prolly paypal. Will try to lost links after work to Zoe's FB page my FB and my Wifes FB.
