You have to extract that file via 7zip. Then just follow the instruction on that site where you got the 7z file

Hi, you cannot access the files. =(
hello,
it's not clear if you want access file within android or just connecting your SD card to a computer.
Can you install apk file (i.e. downloaded from market place?)
i want to access files within android because i want to install apk files from memory card.
i tried to install apk files from market palce but after selecting any application, it shows downloading but doesnt finish download even after several minutes.
I have had similar problem, my 2GB sdcard was not full but I could non use at all, I formatted full FAT32 and put back the file. This solved the problem.
any luck
Are you saying that when you use something like OI file manager, you can not see any files on the memory card ?
i want to rom version of android2.2 too.

i dont have a solution for your problem, but if you have .apk files put it in the "Androidapps" Folder on your sdcard via PC and then run Android. It install automaticly if you start Android.

Download it man, and unzip it in the root of your SDcard , then run the HARET in your PDA... its all
i have download there seems to be only 1 file ive put it in the root of my SDcard but i cant find a file for haret maybe a link could do
also which files must i download becuase ive only download the System pack in Post #4 and like i said there is only 1 file there
I'm also a noob, but I figured it out.
1. download the other file on post #4. The "bundle."
2. open up windows explorer, if you're running windows, so you can open up the SD card. Make sure it's formatted in FAT32 (right click on the SD card in explorer and look through the properties, or just click "format."
3.unzip the bundle file, there should be a folder named "andboot" in it.
4. copy everything from "andboot" and copy it to the SD card.
5. Go into the folder, in all the junk you just copied, called Startup Config.
6. Find your model, "Topaz" and copy the statrup.txt file, not the other one.
7. Go back up to the top of the SD card and paste it there.
8. Disconnect the phone, and go in through file explorer and run the file Harnet.exe on the SD card.
It will take some time, but it should all boot up fine.
Watch the video, it should help, if not, ask more questions.
(it wouldn't let me post the link, so search youtube for TheDeadCPU and watch his video on XDAndroid 2.2)

how do I
please help
Thank you for answers
I'm sorry for my English
I think first you need to understand the concept of ODEXing. In stock LG roms the system applications are Odexed. "ODEX" stands for Optimized DEX - Classes.dex is usually a file that stands inside the apk file of any application. When a program is odexed the file is extracted from the apk, optimized, and saved alongside the application in the odex format. However, since the apk no longer contains its (albeit optimized) classes, deleting the odex file leaves the application broken and unusable, until you reinstall it again. Now, I can think of only one way to deodex right now, but I really don't think it's a good idea(The rom i'm using was deodexed, yet I odexed it intentionally). What you need to do is:
1. Make a backup of your phone using clockworkmod recovery
2. From that backup take system.img and boot.img
3. You will need to download and run Android Kitchen. Since it's a Linux program, you'll need that as well. Look into it.
4. Insert the 'boot' and 'system' img files into the kitchen, and use the deodex option, then export the rom as update.zip
5. Put the file in your sdcard, boot into recovery, and format system
6. Choose 'install update.zip', and install the one you've created
7. From 'Advanced' menu clean Dalvik-Cache, and see if the phone works now.
While this *should* work *in theory*, as far as I know using a backup to modify it in the kitchen doesn't always work. Also, since I imagine some of your system apps are now broken, what I told you to do should be done after first reinstalling the rom in some way, in order to get your apps straight.
Well, I hope I've been helpful. Good luck.
if I'm not wrong there should be a script somewhere i the forum

For deodexing? There's one for odexing, but I'm not sure about the opposite one. I'll do a search. Besides, some of his system apps are already screwed up, so I doubt that will help.
This kitchen can run on Cygwin (author mentioned it)

also rename the bootanimation to what yours is named either ATT_bootanimation.zip or bootanimation.zip
Here is how I did it.
1. Download the .zip to your desktop and rename this file to the file that your device uses. (I use ATT, so I navigated to system, customize, resource, and that's where I saw my boot animation and it was, ATT_bootanimation.zip
2. Mount the disk so you can open the external sd drive on your computer
3. Moved the .zip file from the desktop to the external sd drive
4. I use Rom Toolbox, but use a root explorer and copy the bootanimation zip file from your external sd card, to your devices bootanimation file, It will ask if you want to overwrite or keep both files, but you MUST overwrite. Reboot phone and it should work. If that doesn't then try and install it from your recovery and you might have to delete the cache, but try that.
I do recommend backing up the phone and the current rom though...Just incase
Is there a specific place to go where i can download different boot animations for the vivid as well as preview them before downloading?
There are boot animation threads...
Trial and error as far as what works...
Our screen is 960x540
Anything smaller COULD work

You can always try this
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1678540&highlight=sense
You have to download them first but it lets you see what it will look like.
Don't overwrite your ATT_bootanimation.zip file just rename it ATT_bootanimation.bak (or just bootanimation.bak if your original bootanimation file is named just bootanimation). This way if you can't get it to work then you can delete the file that dosen't work and go back to your original file by putting the .zip back.
Try install boot animation factory
HTC VIVID 4.0.4 SENSE 4.1
I'd love to try Annimation Factory but it requires Win SP3. I only have/use the laptop my company gives me and they control what SP are installed with an iron fist and we are only on SP1. I really need to build a new box. I"m still working on doing it the old fashion way as discribed in the OP's document.
EDIT - FYI - I installed Annimation Factory and it works just fine on SP1. One thing that I have noticed every time I open it it prompts me there is a new version even when turning off the check for updates in settings. When I try to download the new version it gives a downloader error. I don't think this is related to SP1. The AF version I have works good though. I'll go and get the new version manually.
