Apparently it's compatible with the HP Touchpad, anyone tried it yet?
From the App's requirements:
Sky Go is supported on the following Android smartphones running on 2.2 & 2.3 operating systems: HTC Desire, HTC Desire S, HTC Desire HD, HTC Incredible, HTC Sensation, Samsung Galaxy S, Samsung Galaxy S II.
Please note that if existing Sky Go users with V2.2 or 2.3 choose to upgrade to V4.0 they will not be able to stream content through the Sky Go app until the operating system can be fully supported.
For rights reasons Sky Go is not supported on any Android device that has been rooted
There's 3 problems right away:
- It's not a supported device (does it check build.prop?)
- CM9 isn't supported (ICS devices can't get streaming)
- Most TouchPads are rooted.
It might be possible to get this to work on a CM7 TouchPad which isn't rooted and has an edited build.prop
On the Market (online), it states that it is compatible. I've sent it to my TP, but can't test as at work.
I was simply asking if anyone has tried it yet.
I am running CM7.

Just tested what happens. Firstly, when going to Android Market through a web browser, cm_tenderloin (my Touchspad with CM9) is listed as a compatible device (along with my Desire HD). I can go to the Market app on the Touchpad, download and install the app. The app will run but as soon as I log in with my valid Sky credentials, it states it is not a compatible device.
Have to wait for both Streaming in CM9 and the ICS version of Sky Go.
Okay CM9 doesn't work, as expected.
CM7 anyone?

You could try it on CM7 with Voodoo OTA Rootkeeper since it blocks rooted devices.

1) play accelerometer 3d games
2) play video including YouTube
3) flash 10.1 video on browser
4) wifi capable if tethered off my mytouch 4g.
I know it would need root and custom rom.
Is it easy as rooting a mt4g. Thanks in advance

1) Yes
2,3) With Froyo, yes you can play flash video (AKA, youtube).
4) I tether my nook to my Incredible all the time, no problems.
Your best bet is to try out one of the current Froyo builds on an SD cards, so you don't have to mess with changing the stock OS at all..
Thanks...hooked on mipeliculagratis dot com. Requires flash 10.1 and free movies on demand. Might pick up NC on payday.
Thanks again.... have u played need for speed shift on it?

Heads up on the games...the accelerometer works, but it's less sensitive than most phones, and that can affect gameplay. I've noticed some games can be trickier due to it's responsiveness. But on the whole, yes, it works fine for motion-based gaming.
i have asphalt 5 on my nook, it runs great, and so do the accelerometer controls. the best example i can think of is HAWX, which is also a great motion controlled game that runs with no problems on my nook
From what I've been reading, flash should be working in Opera Mobile. However when I click on a flash plug in placeholder, nothing ever loads. Is it working for anyone else?

Same here. You're not alone.
I'm having issues with it working in my honeycomb app that's under development. So yea, apparently its widely known now.
That sucks. I was hoping someone would have an easy way to straight things out. This is by far the best browser IMO.

Yeah it is not perfect. I was able to watch some flash videos on it but even the frame that loads to the page is formatted incorrectly. Besides the flash not working, it seems like a decent addition to the browser lineup. I did a video overview of this if you want to confirm this is exactly what is occurring with you as well. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s4xXl7gPRf4
there was an update last night. Flash still does not work on my Xoom.
There were several updates today, Flash isn't there yet

Run the stock browser. 720p videos do stutter but for the most part it runs decent.
Tried so many versions before I was S-OFF, and have tried many since last night after I got S-OFF and installed a rooted Rom.

Bumping this.
Any luck yet?
I can stream audio but get the white screen of doom. Also I'm in Canada so the fact that the .apk works at all and lists all the programs available AND keeps track of my progress was quite a surprise.
Have tried almost every version of the netflix.apk out there as well as the netflix (fix) libraries for the thunder. Still no luck.
Rocking Hd revolution 1.0.1 btw. I have heard vague whispered rumors of Cyanogen7 IncS's being able to rock netflix, any truth?

Has anyone got this working on Android Revolution?
Please link to which Netflix version works.
I think only virtuous has netflix able to run . AR didn't work for me, and neither did the MIUI rom.

Take libstagefrighthw.so from this post. Put it in /system/lib. I did not use the file to flash in recovery. Maybe you can.
Take the latest official Netflix from this thread. Maybe any of the Netflix mods will work, though.
Working for me on ARHD 1.1.1 w/ Sense 3 addon. Should work on any Gingerbread ROM, even stock.
I've found out so far that weather animations within the weather app don't work. Weather animations after unlocking the phone still work.
Netflix APK 1.3.0 that came out on July 20 has official compatibility for Droid Incredible 2, which works for Incredible S.
I have downloaded NOVA HD 2 from Samsung Apps. I go to run it and it never starts. I get a white screen.
Anyone else found this?
Is it a THD version? If so the tablet doesn't have a tegra 2 chipset and therefore will not run on tab... Try the non-hd version of the game it might not be tegra chipset reliant
Sent from my SPH-P100 using XDA App
Nova 1 is broken on gingerbread on the tab. If you check gameloft forums they've known about it for months but it seems they still
haven't fixed it. Nova 2 on the android marketplace works perfectly on gingerbread on the tab, but it isn't free like nova 1- but still well worth getting.

Thanks for the replies. You would imagine that any apps that download from samsung apps will work on it , but i guess that it does other samsung phones as well.
I haven't seen anything to answer what I'm about to ask, how can I install hulu on T-Mobile ds7? I don't really know how to do the whole build.prop stuff either I am rooted and unlocked if that makes sense or helps. Is there a apk that has the flash built-in?
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using XDA App
The problem is not Flash, the problem is Hulu blocking it.
Try this

Ok cool worked lol. Do u happen to know what gameloft apk is needed to run their games like rather its the galaxy tab etc needed to run them on the ds7
