[Q] Transparent statusbar (brood rom) i9001 - Galaxy S I9000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
i already took a look in other threads and tried everything but i couldnt find a solution.
I want to have a half transparent statusbar on my i9001 with the brood rom. I changed some xmls and pngs in systemui, framework-res, twframework-res and touchwiz but nothing helped.
Could someone help me to find the right files to change?
Thanks
E: I mean the bar at the top not the notification bar.
E2: Used this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1053019
Changing the png worked but only on the lockscreen. Also edited the xml but nothing changed.

[Q] Gingerbread with white Notificationbar

Hey,
can someone tell me how i get the white notificationbar like in the older versions (froyo, eclair...)
i can´t find any post on the internet about that and an old theme does´nt work work for me...
sorry for my english
IF you are using CM based roms, the option is inbuilt to change your status bar colours.
IF you want to do it in a stock rom, you need to replace the png file "statusbar_background.9.png" in the /res/drawable-hdpi folder in the Systemui.apk app. You will also need to make xml and smali edits to make your text black so that it shows up on the white statusbar.

SGS2 transparent statusbar: help me

Ok so I tried to make the statusbar transparent with UOT kitchen like for all the phones I had before, but this time it won't work!
I did a little search and found that it could be the status_bar.xml file that is responsible of that, blocking the statusbar to a black code color.
So I changed it toward a definite file as mentioned in a topic, my problem is that I am new to apktool
The apk didn't decompile completly so I can't recompile it.
So I am attaching the systemui.apk and xml file I edited, can you check it up and recompile this xml (if good) with the systemui.apk please??

Don't know if this could help you... (look at the end of the page)

Transparent status bar for stock v20?

Hi there,
I used to make my own transparent status bar mod for v10 stock rom, by modifying framework-res.apk. However, for v20 rom, it seems i need to modify systemui.apk
I tried but it failed... the status bar disappeared altogether... then I realised there is something called systemui.odex
does it mean that i need to do some deodexing/odexing? i searched the forum, seems it's not an easy thing.... well, i only have played with apktool before..
i searched the forum but there seems no such mod for stock v20 rom yet?
I didn't try it yet, but try to make it with uot kitchen.

[Q] how to change cyanogen mod froyo status bar?

how do i change the status bar? not colour, i feel uncomfortable with the minicm froyo status bar. cyanogenmod logo on it...
You will have to edit either framework-res, or if its like most ROMs with cyanogen mod settings, you will have to edit systemui.apk. Pull a status bar from another ROM or find one some where you like. put it in your file using 7zip(drag and drop). Then use adb to push the apk back into the system file it came from.
If you have ThemeChooser.apk, you can make your own status bar and themes at UOT Kitchen (sorry unable to directly post link but do a search.)

CM 10 Status Bar Icons

Hi All....
I have just installed CM10 (I would like to thank tezet, great job)
I was wondering if there was a way to increase the status bar icons size a few points up.... I just find them a bit harder to read ... I've just come from Gingerbread
thanks

Click to collapse
shure there is, pull out the framework-res.apk out of the system/framework folder from the rom zip. change the icons that you want to change (find them at a hdpi folder, don't know the exact name atm). don't unzip the rom or the apk, just open it, change the icons and push them into the folders.
