I installed this rom today and it is awesome.
Everythingis great no bugs, except one thing
3d performance is very low I got 58 on antutu.
I asks can anyone told me if I can install some updates from newer roms.
It is based on gdx and alfs ics kernel.
Try to flash update-adreno_libs-AlfsKernel-ICSv2. U can find it on this link:

best rom according to me in ui responsiveness n overall performance is miui mintberry 1.11.11.....n yes dis is not d latest version ...der r two more latest miui mint berry roms...i hv tried dem n even galnet latest weekly n stable roms....
but miui mint berry is d most responsive....3d performance is almost better den jvt official rom =O...atleast thats wat i found...n itz miui wich is famous for all customisation it offers....video recording...camera everything works fine...not even one force close...n best part itz 3d performance is awesome...
one tip...just use d inbuilt neo kernel....itz works d best widout any tweaks like supercharger n all...i hv tried em....n dun switch to any other kernel...i switched to glitch v13 but i found it less smooth....n my battery used to suck....but frm last two days....my battery is running one day properly wid normal usage....i dun knw how...
one more thing....cyanogen mod is one fast rom too...but itz not dat much customisable....so my choice is miui n dat too...mint berry 1.11.11 version..

This post was illegible and you should feel bad that you wrote it. I can't even understand what you're saying. A forum is not an imageboard, so take your short form text and terrible formatting and go back to posting on imageboards.

Flash stock JVT, then CF-root kernel and after that install stock+ package with CWM. Stock+ fixes all of the annoying minor bugs and gives you the complete stock experience.

Hi, I would like to know what is kernel, and what would it change in the phone, performance and display, i'm a gamer, so i would like a good kernel for games like asphalt 6, FL Commando and And NOVA 6, and how to install it, i'm using Zeus 6.32n
thanks a lot

I must admit that p970 is not so hard developed yet and as far as im concerned, we havent got any custom kernel for stock-based rom like Zeus. However, Diana kernel (which is used in newest version of Zeus v.36) is best for performance and battery life. As long as someone wont make a miracle, its only-one custom kernel for stock based ROMs.
In addition, it has overclocking and is tweaked for performance, so why do you need other kernel? Try installing newest version of zeus ROM and test if you are pleased with results.
Similar question: So if i install the newest zeus i already have a new kernel on the phone or do i still need to update the kernel? I now have Zeus v7.03 and the kernel version: 2.6.35. Any help is appreciated! Thx

If you install a newer Zeus Version 6.33 and up you have a different kernel that can use lower and higher frequencies. 2.6.35 is the basic linux kernel, alle Diana kernels have that number too. Up too diana kernel 2.3 it seems to be very stable, after 2.3 the kernels are all betas up till now and well beta is still experimental, for some it works well, for others maybe not. If you install Zeus 7.02 or .03 it comes with a beta kernel, but I'm rather sure you can still install the stable Diana kernel 2.3 after you installed Zeus 7.02 or .03.
BTW all that can be read in http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1454274 , but OK it might take some time to go read that all, but before you ask more questions maybe you should at least try to read some of that thread (first page and maybe about last 3 weeks).

clear data in cwm and reinstall games
You can use easy task manager app to clean cache. And another suggestion to u for installing a light custom rom for gaming like gingerdx, kuyadroid 4.5.4,fde4+
Enjoy
Officially corp via w8
use ginger zaraki rom with alfs 9 best for games
use some apps like ram manager for better improvement
use v6 super charger:fingers-crossed:
I have tried almost 7-8 roms on my x8....ginger xperia is till now working bettre for me...
Suggest any other rom with gingerbread with stock kernel only as i dont want to unlock my bootloader
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1849622
No problem, u missed somehing, i think..
hey bro,
Just clear all the cache's and do a full wipe (atleast 2 times) when u install new ROM
If the problem still persists, get a light and faster rom or even flash a good custom kernel! (as u said u have custom kernel)
Try GingerZaraki, FDE +4 or even GingerXperia has got good performance with games
and for a good performance and fps, OVERCLOCK ! best is 729 Mhz (remains stable)
Source: my experience!
Yo,
i installed gingercruzt on top alfs v8a cm7 kernel and everything is working perfectly exept 3d gallery and games that lags.
I dont know is it becuse rom and karnel have same modules or what.
Can someone help me?
Its not just gallery mate, its all 3d sistem i think. There is no faster roms then this one, i tryed everything, even ginged zaraki. This rom with alfs v08a cmf simply fly + its 3 times better looking then every other roms out there .
I am asking becuse its working well with naa 08 but with newer naa and alfs karnel that ****y 3d bug is there.
Maybe with some newer versions of kernels they put some new files in and they are maybe present in the rom it self. That is why i am asking, if someone maybe knows whitch files il delete them.
Cheers
3D gallery is laggy on all roms. Use quickpic!

I know 3d gallery is lagging on every rom, but its not just gallery. Games are also laging for some uknown reason. rom is super fast but i cant play simple games like fruit ninja. Its something betwean rom and kernel, if i fix that il have bug free, beautiful rom with everything i need .
Well never mind, with naa 09 working perfectly and with naa 10 have lagging 3d problems.
nAa-10
msm/kgsl: Porting kgsl 1.1 from 2.6.35 gives a good performance boost for 2d/3d operations
acpuclock: Improved overclocking from 2.6.35
shakira: keyboard reset with HOME + POWER
pmem: Porting pmem from 2.6.35
Bugfixes and improvements: sha1, vfs_cache_pressure, net/ipv4, net sched, pid, mm/vmscan.c
Module for disabling dual touch altogether
Performance governor selected in recovery
NOOP ioscheduler (faster for android)
+ 2MB More RAM (184MB in total)
It probably has something to do with "Porting kgsl 1.1 from 2.6.35 gives a good performance boost for 2d/3d operations" in a kernel. Rom is simply amazing on naa 09, no lags at all, scrolling is better then on any other rom and its simply beautiful. Il post ss later today in themes section.
THX
try to install the new andreno libs from alfs thread called ics v2 .Use the libs with naa14 kernel.
Mate your a genius. It worked . naa14+adreno libs ics v02 and this rom is just amazing.
Big THX
don't say thanks just press it
hello everyone,
i got a xperia x8 today and installed the nobodyAtAlls rom JB, it seemed to be verry heavy for the phone, the phones stucks all the time.
is there any other rom (i dont care version) that is light. im not searching for smoothness, im just dont want the phone to stuck in black screens or at any other spots
Go with any gb or froyo rom...
There are plenty of them
sent from my BEAST™ W8 Walkman™
FroyoPro 2.5 is the fastest and lightest. Use alfs 8a GDX with it.
Don't use alfs9c as the internet drops after some use.
if you want a Gingerbread ROM you can use lighter and more performanced Rom like ShockGensMODS V2(STOCK) and GingerDX v31b(support variety of KERNELS)
you can use it with your desired Kernel for more faster
or
the ROM in my signature. specially for Stock users
or CM6/froyo the far more stable and super light ROM for X8 to date
Minicm7 by nobodyatall with naa14 kernel
Froyopro2.5 gi irakkarl with alfs gdx 8+
Perhaps if you want to use JB rom , i recommend Simplebean ,, here's the link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2084554
good performance and battery saving, plus lighter rom for smooth operations (scrolling etc)
Vanilladroid v3 final is the lightest gb rom,forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1791062..... using it right now
this is the fastest and lighter rom i ever used http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2252871 just use v1 is better than v2
