So it seems this home launcher is picking up some steam again... I thought maybe if I started this thread, we could get some devs on board and pick up support for this great launcher. Show some love and support by posting your screens and if you would like to share your setup, it's up to you (just don't forget; like I did to credit the original creator if you use their work... :0}
Edit: here is the link to download sweeterhome...

Thanks to Reinbeau, here is a tutorial thread since this launcher does have a little learning curve... :0}

Thanks for starting this thread, I do hope the devs work on the launcher again. That said since all the themes are available for download within the launcher, it would be nice if we credited the original ones too right? I see you're using a modded setup of my original theme (sheepo), would be nice if you could mention that too. I have made too many sweeterhome themes to post all here atm, will do later sometime. Look forward to seeing this thread grow.
Lol this homescreen is very nice !

It looks like on the website the last build was from February 10th 2012... Seems pretty new... :0}

That's promising.. might be worth investigating.. I downloaded the beta and wow it looks like it's boundary is limited by your imagination though a big learning curve for customizing it.

Indeed a very nice launcher, I loved this concept of share to care.
I didn't know it existed until someone posted some screen grabs in a thread I watch recently.
Peeked at the forum and it looks dead & overrun by spam bots. Is the launcher stable enough for daily use? I'm downloading some different themes & messing around & it doesn't seem that hard to do. Will probably play with other people's themes a while before trying out one of my own.

I have been using this as my daily. So far so good. It took me a little while to get used to, but when I started messing around with other themes it all started to make sense... :0}
Sent from my rectangle robot.
I used it as daily for a pretty long time. It's not that it's that hard to customize, it is that it takes so much time!
I played for a while now and it seems pretty straight forward to me for most things. I like how in the sample themes people have made all sorts of setups that go in totally different directions.
Some quick thoughts/questions in no special order:
- User Base: I'm glad to see a couple replies already. I really don't want to get into this if I'm the only one using it. Need to have some people to bounce ideas off of & ask questions.
- Is it still in development, or is it 'finished' just the way it is?
- I like the idea of a slide down to the bottom of the + for all apps, but oddly I'm not seeing the use of the other 3 sides when it seems (off the top of my head) easier to hide & un-hide everything on one screen.
- There still no way to get to the other screens without a slide? Would be nice to make a button with a special action of jumping to one of the other screens.
- In some of the minimal themes, I see the use of the Contacts plugin/widget/thing. I like the look on the themes, but I don't want to see ALL of my contacts, just the favorite dozen or so. Any way to do it that I'm missing, or anyone know of a normal Android Widget that can show something like that?
- Overall, I'm probably going to play for a while & save version after version on my sd card (need to see where is saves, btw) BUT at some point I will really need to think if this method works any better then just Launcher Pro/Go Launcher/more 'normal' android home screens.

One of the main reasons I started this thread was I noticed more and more people using this launcher. It really is amazing how much customizing you can actually do. I was hoping if we get enough users the devs would pick up support for this and more features could be added. I am not sure if there has been any movement on this but the latest beta version was dated February 12th 2012(according to the website.) I too have not really found much use for the other slides but I guess it is nice if anyone uses a lot of widgets or simply just likes the real estate. I have not found if there is a way to jump to another screen by adding a springboard function, but I am still new to the launcher... Overall I feel this is the best launcher I have used as far as customizing goes, being able to move widgets, pictures, text boxes, wallpapers, colors, anywhere on the screen, as well as hide/unhide items; it's a themers dream... Just my two cents... On that note... Let's see some more screens!!!

I see that nobody has made a Super Mario theme for the Epic. Lately I have been messing around and trying to learn how to theme and decided I would try to make a Super Mario theme. I havent done much and I have made a few icons for the status bar and what not. (as you can see I am using the honeycomb fusion theme and just changing icons here and there until it completely transforms into a completely new theme)

I know the time on the lock screen is messed up (I will be changing that tonight) and the status bar I am either considering making the clock text and the battery text black.. or maybe changing the color of the entire status bar... since its hard to see the battery text..
I am mainly making this for me and to get more experience with themes... So I am also wondering... would anyone else like to use this theme? Should I continue developing it?
What does everyone think?
looks sweet! one request I would have is to have the notif. icons a little more cleaned and polished up.
Nice! Keep up the good work...
I'm trying to learn to Theme, too I hopes of making a Simpsons Theme...I've been swiping icons from Hit and Run PC game in hopes of using them...I've been reading the threads and looking youtube videos...I welcome any input and suggestions.

This is just on the edge of awesome, OP. The notification bar needs a little work, but otherwise, very cool. Would love to have this on the EC05 framework-res, so it's compatible with SRF1.1.0.
I think this is looking very awesome. Hope you keep going with it.

LOL!!
This theme is awesome. I would be all over it.
Agreed with many that this reeks of total awesomeness. It definitly needs some work/polish, but for saying it is your first theme, you are coming along very nicely! Everyones first project needs some polishing work Regardless, I agree with the others that the notification bar needs some work. I would definitly encourage you to keep developing this theme though, and when I get some spare time I'd even be willing to give you a hand on certain things. Great job so far man keep up the good work!
Also, IMHO if it were my theme, I would make a koopa shell battery icon, like a top down view. The current battery is just too hard to see. Just have the %age number inside the shell. Blue/Green/Yellow/Red colors change for battery levels. I think that'd be a neat idea.
Also, maybe if you used the SMB1 Lvl 2 (The first dungeon stage) Brick texture across the notification bar, that might make all the other things and the clock more readable, since it's a nice Dark Blue/greyish color. Again not trying to tell you what to do, just saying what I would modify myself If I decided to use it Other cool ideas incoming after my brain generates on this at work some haha.

whoa thanks man.. i appreciate the ideas.. ill get working on different versions of the battery icon... but i dont want to keep getting caught up in revising things or making different versions of something (like the battery meter)..i polished it up last night and it took quite some time (since there are around 202 images for it (including the charging icons))..
ill definitely try that texture for the notification bar... i was wanting to keep it looking like the 'status bar' for SMB3... at first i tried the light blue color and it turned out horrible..you could read anything really... then i tried the secondary color (the beige that you see) and obviously you can read stuff..just not that clearly (the battery icon)... SMB3 was revised and had updated graphics in the Super Mario All Stars game, and the status bar was changed to a darker hue of blue... which i could try to use and it should make the text more readable..
i do want to try to keep it looking like the status bar because thats where all your information was in the game...
i am definitely open for ideas...im still kicking around ideas in my head for the wifi signal icon and the 3g...i have ideas for the 3g symbol...just need to put it in photoshop and do the work... but for the wifi... yeah...i dunno about that one yet lol..
if anyone knows what the image name of the 'call lock message notification surrounding box' is, that would be great (its the box that surrounds the mail icon on your lock screen (where you drag down to view the message))
I was trying to find it last night but gave up lol
again..suggestions are greatly appreciated... if you have any ideas/thoughts about the status bar icons, just drop me a line and ill take a look at it.. im going to really try not to get caught up in revising the same icons over and over again and not doing anything else to the theme.

I do have a flashable zip that you can flash with CW3..but its just a rough one... i mainly took the honeycomb fusion flashable zip, put my icons in it, and renamed it to a different name.
This looks really good. I love the stars and the notification really doesn't look that bad. I like the coins and the number next to them. The shells are a cool idea but I think may be better for wifi or signal strength. I think black text in that notification bar would be better than changing the color of it as well. I would certainly look forward to trying this out once your comfortable with how it looks. Keep up the great work!

morbiddevil82,
This is really cool. I'm not even that big into SMB or putting themes my phone, But I would kick the tires on this... kick them real hard.
As for Ideas they are endless, put the best ones that came to mind would be to change the beautiful widget weather icons. Change the sun over to the Angry Dessert Sun. The clouds into the clouds in the background of SMB 1. When its raining it could be that guy that drops the spike balls that crawl around. The moon could be a ghost.
I like the Battery icon as the coin counter.
Still working on this.. have been very busy with other things this week... I'm kicking around ideas and stuff for the dialer and trying hard not to screw up the dialertabactivity.apk lol. Ill post a pic soon of the dialer, when I get back to a computer

For what its worth .. the one in our wp7android project has wwaaay more features

I downloaded this earlier and this is the newest app that Fede (maker of Launcher Pro) is making. Its in Beta but I'm liking it so far. Still end up using Poweramp. Unless, this is a different app than Fede's, proper credit should be given imo.

I was only saying ours as of now is ahead of Fede's ... and the screenshot is of ours . Since with his , you can see the notification bar and the word music is smaller . Ours is full screen (as pictured above) and the word music is larger . Trust me, i know my own groups apps when i see them
Good start from Fede though . Like i said , he is a good dev and im sure it will get better with more options . We are doing the entire UI , not just the media player .

So is the zplayer in the market your version or the pirated one ?
Zplayer in the market is ours. But we haven't updated it there because of piracy. But, we realize there is really no realistic way to stop piracy .. it's part of the world. So we have some math to change in the scrolling and it will be updated there. That should be pretty soon. I have an internal test build now ... but when we fixed scrolling, it broke something else haha. So that will be worked out soon and pushed to the market.
Also, I'm working with the guys on a little promotion to give the wp7 lock screen away for free. Im running a test now and its awesome. So as soon as I get it cleared with the others, I will post details.

good, i bought it. still a bit laggy but i bet there are bugfix versions coming ;-)
I wonder how the recognition of artists and cover arts is working... since it doesnt seem to really work (on fedes neither).
I dont have id3 tags for all mp3, but at least the name of the artist and song title as mp3 name. i guess the easiest way would be to look for plausible names here as well right ? this doesnt work, also if it must display a cover art, then a generic and not 200 times the same that is completely wrong by the way
cheers

Should we just follow your site for updates, or is there an XDA thread?

The main difference is ours is not just a launcher. We are working on a suite of amps to change the overall ui to wp7. We love the looks of the os, but don't want to leave android for it. So the idea is to mix the best of both worlds.
The lock screen (posted above) promotion will probably start tonight or tomorrow. We got it to a point last night where we are comfortable with releasing it.... for free even . So if you haven't done so yet. Sign up at our website. WWW.wp7android.com and check the details out there . I also got a deal with theultralinx.com, so the info will be posted there as well.

This is a full theme that's ambition is simple; turning all instances of color thru-out the entire ROM, including many common user apps, to various shades of blue. This project will be on-going; as I get better at theming so will the theme get better. I make no claims of complete originality, as some images have been swyped from other themes (if u see ur work, please claim it so that i can credit or pull it) That said, most work is my own (in as much as modifications of someone else's work -HTC's- can be called ones "own" ) I also need to thank Gunthermic, whom I continue to bug daily with my incessant questions, lol. Thnks gun! Also can't forget about TommyTomatoe, whom has helped me tremendously in the last two weeks. (Thnx to him I can again edit .9.png's, and xml's as well) Also bad4u6669, he's also helped me on many occasions (actually this theme is kinda inspired by bad4u's work on Epidemic ....thnks bro!) .. ***Edit: thnx to bad4u6669 I am now able to theme all of Sense (.....as long as he keeps building my mods, lol!) ...and last but not least a special Thnx to McLabia for giving me a hassle free place to host and advertise my work. I am very, very grateful brother!

roscoenr- great XML advise. Super helpful!

Any luck doing the menus? Like when hitting menu from homescreen and other menus like for gmail?

Lol, cool, at least its just the calender. I'll look at it in a bit.
Yeah, I'm at a stand-still with that dropdown. I'm just waiting for some bright idea ....or gunthermic to figure out. I gotta talk to him again.
Wut about the 'menu's? U mean the getting all the icons to match? That's proven to be one of the more challenging things. I've themed all those icons that those should be drawing from.... Ima take another look tonight. I'll definitely get them. Just takes time ....it bugs me too. I think its just this new Sense. I'll ask gun.
Sent from my ADR6400L using XDA App
Or do u mean inverting them like the I plan to do w/ the dropdown? Cuz that's actually next!
That's why I haven't been working hard to make all those icons match. They'll need changed anyway for the dark bg ....coarse I plan on doing two versions of those ......like most things so I'll havta to both anyway
.....yeah, I still got a TON of work to do!
Haha I can only imagine the work involved, i'm sure its quite intense.
I was referring to when you hit menu and all apps, notifications, personalize, wallpaper, ringtones and settings comes up in the little "6 spaced grid".
Sorry probably have terminology all wrong ! Either way I know it takes time, just excited about what's to come because this adds alot of class to this already nicely themed wrong already on 1st revision.
BTW I tried messing with both htc calender widget apk's and couldn't get it to work again.
Not that I know much beyond moving things to system/apps and changing permissions lol.
That looks Stoopd SECXEE Bruh..More Blue w/icons, Contacts and Dialer pad would be ideal.

Try pulling 'Calendar.apk' from the theme zip and reflash. U won't notice a difference without that one anyway. Just put on ur desktop, open with 7zip, go to /system/app/Calendar.apk and delete.
If that doesn't work ...or u just don't feel like it, I'll have an update soon. By morning prolly
Sent from my ADR6400L using XDA App
U can also delete 'htccalendarwidgets.apk' and possibly HtcProfileWidgets.apk without noticing a diff. I'll put updated versions into the next update
I'd try deleting the first two calendar APKs first, but like i said, ill be doing that ltr tonight or this morning.
If u just delete Calendar.apk and report bak ull potentially save me a bunch of work ....but I know it sux waiting thru whole that flashing so if u just wanna wait, that's cool too

Thnx bro. Yeah I've got some other things slated first ...like finding all instances of green, orange, etc. and eradicating it, lol ...then just getting all buttons and highlights smooth like the one in the dropdown. Then I gotta touch sum more widgets
.....and finally, I'll be doing variations on the theme, with one being sumthing very similar to wut u suggest ...just remind me down the road. But in general, yeah more blue is on the way

Yes, I know 'where' u mean. I'm sorry, I don't understand 'what' u want done.
I'll say this: I plan on making both a dark and light version ....also one with blue highlights; dark or light, I haven't decided ...maybe both. I also may make completely different icons rather than modify the existing ones.
If u guys can be more specific as to what u'd like to see in the theme, then I could better accommodate u.
If u all are something u like in another theme that u'd like to see here, please try to provide screenshots or links so that I see exactly wut u mean. I can't say whether I'll use it or whether it'll be exactly the same. I like to make things my own, but I'm also not one for changing sumthin just to be different either. If there's no room for improvement, then I'll keep it as-is.
And if anyone has work that they've done that they think would look good here, please post it and I'll see about incorporating it or atleast adding as an add-on
Just something darker really, I love the black menu from cm7 and from DH, it doesnt have to be black though.
As far as the calender widget I think I already tried everything I could do apk wise in an attempt to fix it. It's no biggy though man, I can wait

I'm decompiling now so I can change some xml's to get it all blue. Either the red in the calender picture up top is controlled by an xml or its not in the apk ...either way, I'll get the little bastard

The background:
End of 2009, my personal smartphone era took off with one of the greatest devices I ever owned: I bought an HTC HD2,
which is known as the device which can be used with more OS platforms than any other (so far).
Sense 2.5 got even better when CHT (Cookiemonster´s Home Tab) came as an extension, and I started to theme the clock option.
After my HD2 fell to a stone floor and the screen broke into gazillions of tiny little pieces,
I had to move on, and after having been able to make extensive tests, I went for Android.
I actually don´t miss anything to set up my device to my taste - except for the clocks.
There are quite a few available in the web/market, but many of them come without a hand for the seconds,
not to mention missing display of the date and more.
The first step is made, I looked for a solution which is not eating too much battery,
and can be themed easily by an amateur like me. I again went for my favourite clocks from Lüm-Tec,
and with their official permission, their great clock design is now available for Android,
through using a special launcher called "Crazy Home" and its clock widget function!
Crazy Home actually reminds me strongly on CHT from its functionality (multiple home screens, easy to set up),
the free version includes some advertising. No big issue for me, and you can get the paid version without the advertising if that bothers you.
No advertising for that product from my side though, it´s just the (maybe temporary?) solution to get my clocks running on my phone.
The clocks have been tested on HTC Sensation and Samsung Galaxy S II, both of them running Android 2.3.4, and no issues discovered so far.

Thx for adding that...
I just discovered some little pixels which are not so well done by myself... will do an update soon.
And, I am working on the Combat B-Series port now. And wondering if I should port
another model, like with orange lume. Will see...
The fun part for me is still the fact that Crazy Home offers different home screens, like CHT... which allows fast switching between different layouts.

Hi Tictac,
Installed Crazy Home lite - looks good already.
Looking forward to the next releases... especially the Lum-tec concept watch
Is there any chance of an option to choose between quartz or mechanical movement for the seconds hand (ie jerky vs smooth); is this feasible at all?
Thanks A LOT already
cheers

Hi Ben,
I guess it *would* be possible... but that will need some programming.
The current solution is fine for now, as it is extremely battery friendly.
I hope sooner or later, there will be a solution for different movement behavior, show date etc.
Maybe Crazydude will jump in, I wrote an email asking about this kind of stuff...

The PAM pack will be out sometime next week (at least definitely in October), for now, I just uploaded the Lüm-Tec M23 clock pack - an orange lumed watch.
This one I actually never published for Sense 2.5, so it´s brand new in a virtual sense. The real product, I was told, is sold out.

Thanks! I'll probably have another one up in a few days, so I'll let you know when I get it up.
I just put out updates for all the above themes, the major new feature being the addition of a themed wallpaper. There were some other bugs fixed.
If anyone is running these on their gnex and they get a compile error after updating to the latest version, please tell me. I'm not sure but I may have messed something up.
Also, I created a rainbow theme that I'll be posting later.
Added a new theme to OP, Aurora
I don't know if I was breaking rules by posting paid themes without posting a link to a free download, because I saw another thread closed on a similar note, so I added the free download links to the themes that cost money. Maybe a mod can set me straight as to whether I was breaking a rule?

You really need to take my advice and make some CM themes. They'd be a hit and it wouldn't be too much work, I just helped a kid publish his first theme the other day so it can be done without too much headache.

Lol, I know. Right now I just wanna get my icons out the door, and finish up with my finals (1 more to go!), and then I'll start my work on a CM theme. I have some ideas for one, and with your help, I'm sure I'd be able to bang it out pretty quickly
Btw, do you have any experience compiling launcher themes? I'm trying to compile Apex, ADW, LauncherPro, and GoLauncher themes for my icons so I can release them to the market, and woring with eclipse is h*ll (Can you say that on the forums? lol). I have no idea how big to make the icons, and the second I change the package name it shoots out like 500 errors. All the guides I've tried to follow (Including the one to make an Apex theme here on XDA) are for people who know what they're doing. And that's not me

Yeah, when you need help with cm themes just shoot me a PM and we can use gtalk or something. I've helped a few people already with them, and one of them just got their stuff on google play so I think I can help you get there
Unfortunately I don't have any experience with getting an icon theme to successfully compile, I have looked at it, but like you said, eclipse really sucks for those that are starting out (especially when you use windows). I haven't gotten a single theme to compile correctly with eclipse even though I've tried tons of times and I know the code works because it will compile with apktool. I decided I'll just build stuff with apktool because windows doesn't work well with any of the other tools. You can download my template cm9 code from DHoT if you want.
Added a new Pink theme, check OP for download info and screenshots.
Aurora not playing nice with inverted Gmail
First off, your themes are great -- no serious griping here. Just a minor thing that I noticed while trying to use it:
As much as I like Aurora, I noticed that it doesn't work well with Inverted Gmail. I use Inverted Gapps to have a nice white-text-on-dark-background look throughout my phone, and when I switch to Aurora, most of those Inverted Apps still work fine, except for Gmail. Thing is, my inbox in Gmail becomes completely white and therefore unreadable. Once I open an email, it's okay, but the inbox list is not at all usable.
Just wondering: do I need to switch back to standard Gmail? Or is there something you can tweak with the theme to make Inverted Gmail look fine? I completely understand if there's nothing you can do on your end, but I wanted to check here first before I decide to either use a different theme, or just go back to stock rather than Inverted Gmail.
Thanks!

Thanks!

Yes you will need to revert back to a normal Gmail because my theme actually adds back the white background because of the way I made the theme. Its rather inefficient actually (makes the app bigger). Unless I fix it sometime, you'll need to switch back to a normal Gmail. Sorry bout that, and glad you like them.

By "finals" I'm guessing you mean NYS regents, because I know my friends and my sister are taking them right now. Those were always annoying, although I always did awesome

I do indeed mean the regents, and I hate them. I'm just about to leave to take my geometry ones now, and then school will be officially finished!
Unfortunately, there's really no template for apktool, but I think I might just post over at DHoT for help. And I'll be sure to do that!

For the record, I got 100 on the geometry regents Good luck.
If you mean template for icon themes, then you are correct that there isn't an apktool template, but I know that Brotherswing is working on compiling an icon theme for Blackbearblanc over at DHoT, and he uses apktool, so I think he must have made a template. Check with him.
An update is now out for Afterburner and Aurora, small fixes for a couple bugs and significant decrease in app size (cut it down by 3 MB without losing any functionality). Also should mention that I changed the wallpaper in afterburner to the one in the Slate theme.

Your gonna have to lower your dpi to 260 to apply because the gnex is xhdpi and these themes are hdpi/mdpi...

I know people are having problems with inverted gapps and I'm wondering if there's anything any of you other themers do to correct the problem or do we just say "oh well."
My themes problems are that I built them using all 1000+ images in the framework-res.apk so it overrides any inverted frameworks.
