Big hello to all the musketeers
recently I acquired a GALAXY S I9000M but I noticed that he was destined to CANADA [As the Model T in Mexico]. For the flash I still hesitate because I made bad experiences with BADA and Wave 2 because of the CSC.
Now not to make blunders is what I could it injected a firmware that is not necessarily for the I9000M
(Eg a JVJV9/JXJV6/OJVJV9/Sbl (MultiCSC): Download (147 MB) (Build date: Tue May 24 2011 8:20:55 p.m. KST)
(MultiCSC: ABS, AFR, ARB, FWD, KEN, KOR, UTO, TMC, AUS, TUR)).
Instead of MultiCSC: BMC, BWA, VMC).
Thank you in advance

So I have a galaxy S vibrant SGH-T959. I recently updated to the leaked 2.2 and its awesome. So I was talking to a co-worker who has the galaxy S I9000 dxjg4 and he uses that on AT&T but he'd like to get some 2.2 action on it. I wasn't aware of the various different I9000's there were until today, I just thought there was the 4 for the US carriers and the I9000 for everyone else.
What can I load on his phone? Are the ROMs mostly compatible between all the I9000s or are they just as different as one for a vibrant vs his phone?
What is different between all those i9000 models, is each one for a specific carrier? Is there a universal unlocked one that isn't tied to any carrier?
If I wanted to get an I9000, is there any specific one that's the "good" one to get? gets the fastest updates, etc? Where would you even pickup one of those? Do they have a model that does 3g on both Tmobile and AT&T?
Thanks,
-J
No dice? Someone has to at least be able to answer SOME of these questions? Where did you guys get your galaxy S i9000s? Some internet site?
The t-mobile galaxy s vibrant you have doesn't have a front Facing camera and uses a different radio chip to support the 1700 (AWS) frequency that t-mo uses.
The international galaxy s I9000 has front facing camera, fm radio support and uses the standard international frequency.
The Bell (Canadian) galaxy s vibrant (I9000M) is same as the international one except the radio is change to support the North American carriers (850 frequency instead of 900).

Greetings and a Merry Xmas to those that celebrate the holiday!
As a new owner of a SGS I was hoping someone could assist in identifying my particular model and if the Froyo OS update is available for it. KIES was not any help, says this model already has the most current version.

PDA: I9000TUBJG5
PHONE: I9000TUBJG7
CSC: I9000TUUBJG4

Again, thanks to any who respond.
recommend you search around and flash to jpy..then flash either the jp2 or jl3 (part of canadian jl2 firmware) modem all in odin.. then do factory reset... then you may have to use sgs info to make sure 850 mhz 3g is enabled..

Hi,
I flashed my GT-I9000 with
DXJV9/DXJV9/OLBJV9/Sbl (MultiCSC): Download (158.1 MB) (Build date: Wed May 18 19:32:07 KST 2011)
(MultiCSC: CCM, DGI, GLB, KOR, MIS, MM1, SIN, SMA, STH, THL, UMB, XEV, XME, XSE, XSO, XSP, XTC, XTE, XXV)
However, it does not seem to have my country (India) CSC. Which I realize later is with:
DDJV6/DDJV4/ODDJV6/Sbl (MultiCSC): Download (130.9 MB) (Build date: Thu May 12 17:25:31 KST 2011)
(MultiCSC: ETR, INS, INU, NPL, SLK, TML)
Now, since I am already on DDJV9 - is it OK if I just pick CSC from DDJV6 package ( i.e. ODDJV6) and flash only that CSC? (from the versioning numbers it does seem to be older than OLBJV9)
Also - lets say I completely reflash with DDJV6 package - is there any significant difference between DDJV9 and DDJV6 ( the latter seems to be 3 builds older).
Thanks and regards,
Akshay
I tried doing something similar. I just flashed a different CSC. It worked fine for me. No issues. And hey, worst case - If it doesn't work just flash the CSC u had back.
As for the difference part - Sorry but I don't have an answer for that.
Thanks, I was thinking to do it that way.
But since yesterday I spent about almost full day, backing up, trying ROMs, restoring ... - to later find out that I flashed the 'wrong' ROM, I wanted to collect info on shortest stable path before I venture on another long journey today.
Will wait for few more expert comments.
Csc files are version agnostic. They can be used on any ROM, froyo or gingerbread.
Flash which ever one you need...however remember that as far as I know, you do a factory reset when you change csc, so backup your apps first.

Hello
As an owner of an G800F I have been waiting for a long time for the Android 5.1.1 update.
It has now finally arrived in several european contries (Germany, Netherlands etc.) mainly for Vodaphone users.
My question is:
What are the consequenses of flashing a stock version of 5.1.1 from, say, Germany (Vodaphone) on my G800F from the nordic contries (I'm from Denmark) and is this even possible?
My phone isn't locked to any provider and the roms I'm cosidering installing have PDA: G800FXXU1BOL4 and CSC: G800FVFG1BOL1.
Bear with me as I am new to flashing.
My phone currently has:
AP: G800FXXU1AOG2
CP: G800FXXU1AOG2
CSC: G800FNEE1AOG2
Android 4.4.2
Baseband version:
G800FXXU1AOG2
Kernel:
3.4.39-5365191
[email protected] #1
Build-number:
KOT49H.G(00FXXU1AOG2
Thank you.
