Hi,
i can't send sms ,im using xxjvu with semaphore 2.5.0.
Does the other RIL functions work? (phone, 3g)
We need more info. What happens when you try to send a SMS? Do you have network signal?
With such enourmous amount of information i can only say.. "Just check your Talktime" Neways if u cant send sms but still able to make calls etc then that is a carrier fault or wrong text message configurations !! Good luck !
Clear "message center" number, restarts the phone, re-enter the same "message center" number and try.
If it does not work then search on Google. Maybe the message center number of your carrier has been changed. Try that changed one.

My network works, receiving txt messages works.. everything works. But not sending a message. I've checked operator settings many times and they are correct.
Problem occured when i installed http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1362092 RC 4.2
Sadly this is my first post so I can't interact with the appropriate thread.
Please help

the message from SA maybe useful the some people, for me i hate to receive this, can anyone tell me how to disable the message from SA.
i only know the disable one single message. under menu->Message Options...->uncheck the "request msg delivery notification"
that means i have to disable the message from SA everytime i send a msg... >_<
i would like to disable all...
2. why i keep receive the pop up msg "cannot recognize one or more recipients or the address is not valid. would you like to send the msg anyway?"
if i ignore this, the msg still can be send... what's happen.
can anyone help me.. thanks....
have you found a solution?
Hi,
for the first problem that u have, if i've underestood well, the solution is:
Open Text message
Select Menu
Select Tools >
Select Options... sub menu
Tap in Text Message
deselect Request delivery notification
For the second problem, I had the same problem in this days...
I discovered that this appear when
1) The number is wrong or for some reason cannot receive SMS
2) the number do not have international prefix and u try to send a message when it is out of the origin company country.
Sorry for the not perfect english.
Ciao
Hi, I had my HTC DT2 for a week now, and in the weekend when i recived a sms and should answer the sms a box came up with "can´t send sms" Have tried switching on/off different things but can´t still send sms. I switch my sim card to a regular gsm phone and it worked perfect, so can some one help me !!
I think the problem is, that outlook saves the contacts with a + and a space between the prefix and the number.. e.g "+49 69123456". try to delete a contact and add this person again with your device and try again.
I have changed my numbers from +46707.....
to 0046707... and just 0707..... no success ! I can receive sms, but not send !!
I have not get my contacts from outlook, they where saved on my simcard and exported when i put it in my HTC TD2, and i can call the numbers, so just why sms? I have downloaded 2pch ring tones from a webpage, could there be some sort of virus ?? I have now deleted the 2 ring tones, but the issue remains.
You need a few settings in your phone to be able to send sms. I have a swedish device, and I guess yours is too? Anyway, I'm not sure what those settings are called in english, so I'll guide you in swedish too. =)
The first is the number to your "SMSC":
Settings - Phone - top thing... "service"? and then SMS
Inställningar - Telefon - Telefontjänster - Röstmeddelanden och SMS
Tele2 is my provider, so I'll have +46707990001 as my SMSC (SMS-servicecenter), check with your provider what number you should have there
Second setting is under advanced network(?)
Settings - Connections - Advanced... - SMS-service
Inställningar - (Mer) - Anslutningar - Avancerat nätverk - SMS-tjänst
I'm not sure if you need to change this, but try set it to only GSM.
Hope that'll work.
had the same problem, ensure that the mobile phone number you are try to message is saved under mobile number in the contact. If it is saved as work number or something else you will have problems sending sms's don't know why but that's how i solved my problem.
Hello everybody.I searched the forum and didn't find any fix for this problems,i hope you will help me.
1.My samsung doesn't show the sim contacts,it allows only to copy them to phone memory. Is it possible to show them directly form the sim card ?
2.When i receive a sms,it apears the senders phone number(international form),not his name.Its verry annoying.
3.And everytime i try to send a message,i need to write my number(" From: " ).When i try so reply a message, that field doesn't even show, and doesn't let me to send a message.
Sorry for my bad english.Thank you !
Alright have you tried in contacts then go to settings then hit more then display setting and you can pick how the phone show contacts phone or sim you can wave both showing. And have you checked to see if you go the right message centre number in the phone for you service provider you should be able to check the message centre setting on the web for your provider. I could receive text myself but not send.the message centre number was wrong for me change it now works fine hope it helps .

Click to collapse
In the contact settings it shows only the phone option,i've checked that before.
And in the message settings it doesn't have the "Message center" option.
My Galaxy is a M110s,the Korean version.
I think it needs a fix or something.
nobody knows ?
Right ok rather confused by this to be honest, and will try to explain in as simple way as possible as its easy to totally not make sense
Well I am able to send texts to every person on my contact list. Everyone, apart from 1.... the thing is I can send them texts, but only if i manually change the number to +44 at the start of every message to this individual.
The number on my phone is saved as a contact as a +44 number but if you click 'send message' is automatically changes iself to 077... Annoyingly. Or if you try to reply to a message it changes to a 077. The only way I can send a message to this person if I start from scrath and make a 'new message' every time and type the number in manually... Very time consuming and annoying. :/ and its starting to fancly piss me off D: Its the same for calls if you try to call from a message etc when its changed to 077 it does not work.... You have to type it manually then or unlike messages it works if you use you contact list. The only way I can contact this person is if the number stays as a +44 number, However my phone is determined to change it to an 077 so its unable to work D:
I wondered it this might be a problem with my provider etc, but no ive recived the all clear from o2, the person has not blocked me as they are recieving messages i have to manually make, and calls. Im reciving texts from everyone else etc and able to send texts to everyone else, i can send messages to people using an 077 number and +44 numbers. So fanclly im very confused
Is there a hidding setting i could have clicked or activated so that it always changes to be an 077?? or is its somthing else.. Any answeres would be much appreciated, if non of you brainy lot can help I might end up daring to call Samsung
Thanks

Hello!
Is anyone using Havoc OS and it's on Orange Romania?
I would be interested in settings to use SMS with VoLTE on Orange...
I can send SMS while VoLTE is active, only to another number that uses VoLTE.
If I send SMS to a normal number, they do not go: "Not sent. Tap to try again."
I tried to use other applications (Textra, SMS (AOSP), etc).
Do I miss a specific Orange APN?
VoLTE works normally for calls.
Thank you.
Ok.
No luck...
That is the response...
Any ideeas?
Hello!
From what I read, I understand that Orang uses the LTE signaling signal to send SMS's when VoLTE is activated.
On the other hand, with IMS enabled, sms' s try to go over IP ...?
So it's not a problem from APN.
I suppose it's a modem setup problem ...
Anyway...
I found that on my phone there would be modem configuration files for Orange in the paths:
/firmware/image/modem_pr/mcfg/configs/mcfg_sw/generic/eu/orange/commerci/romania/mcfg_sw.mbn
/data/vendor/radio/modem_config/mcfg_sw/generic/eu/orange/commerci/romania/mcfg_sw.mbn
.
Can someone tell me how can I check if these settings are used?
Is it possible to force their use?
Thank you.
