One more [Q]:
If I have an update.zip that's ready to flash, and I'm open it with winrar and override the original system/fonts files with the fonts I need - do I need to resign it before I'm flashing it? or I can flash the same update.zip after I'm saving it?
thanks!

Bringin my new question to the front page.
Anyone have a link to the awesome gingerbread black swype layout in Serendipity and Phoenix?
Download either of those two roms and pull out the apk from inside.
In the serendipity thread there is another awesome one themed like the gingerbread keyboard also worth a look.

Sorry removed
Just curious: is it still okay to post the swype apk after the post by the swype guys? Serious question, not trying to be a jerk.

I would have to say it is not allowed to post that apk because it has been altered from its original Swype form. We are allowed to post the APK because our phones have come pre-installed however, so it is a fine line. To err on the side of caution if the Swype has been altered it is best not to extract and post the apk.
How would I install this theme swype?
From my research does it go like this? Feel free to correct me because I can't find a firm answer. Thanks.
Backup with Tit
Uninstall Swype
Root explorer and delete swype components
Push the Swype.apk file found on this thread to sd
Then install with Root explorer?

I just go to system/app with root explorer
mount rw rename exhisting swype.apk to swype.apk.bak
copy new swype.apk and paste in system/app
mount ro
go tro any input field and try.
Thanks for your quick response but using your method only causes my Swype to FC on me.

Do you have swype installed on the ROM you are using? If the dev removed it you would need the the apk but also libSwypeCore.so
Unzip this and put it in the lib of your system folder. See if that helps.
Here is a green/black swype.apk
Just mount system as R/W, then drop this into system/app/ and overwrite the old swype.

I am currently on Cog 2.38b, so yes I have Swype installed.
FYI the color of the line you draw is in the .so file, so you'll need to copy that over as well.
Sent from my Captivate.
Thanks I'll try these suggestions when I get home later today and will post results.

Nope, just trying to help unlike you. People that actually try to help are limited to the question. So next time instead of just trying to get a shot in help the person out if you think I didn't do a good enough job. Bye!

Shall I get you a sling?
You appear to have broken your arm patting yourself on the back.
For someone who doesn't try to help, it appears that 14 different people accidentally fell on the "Thank You" button on my behalf.
And it's interesting that more often than not, it's easiest to get a shot in when someone leaves themselves wide open by being a grouchy old a$$hat.
Do we need to get off your lawn too?
If you read the post one more time, you'll see that he was simply pointing out that Swype comes preloaded in Cog, not that you're an idiot for not being clairvoyant.
You've mastered other ways of accomplishing that, why would you need one more?
Zing !
Take your pill.
You're waaaay overdue.

Fantastic! It does work!
Finally, The Arabic fonts are connected properly every where in my device.
I actually did a little investigation a while back when I noticed a lot of people are crediting Arabic fixes using this method to themselves while it seems the oldest thread was posted by an American user named "madmack" here at XDA, but I did not understand his installation instructions.
So props to you for referring the credits to it's rightful owner and many many thanks.

It makes alot of difference if you put the wrong permissions , it has to be 775 or as the pic of the choices of permissions show (it has to be exact) , maybe try one more time and lets us know, as i don't want to mess up my 1.8.3 right now
ok i will try one more time as soon as i get home, i will let you guys know

There's a file AndroidEmoji-htc.ttf in /system/fonts. If you're running a Sense ROM it should be in there, along with the standard KK emoji file, AndroidEmoji.ttf.
In case you use the toolkit and remove and apk you need a replacement.
Here are the APK files for the 900A AT&T version, I extracted these from the stock rom
number g900aucu1ance_964333_rev00
Regular apps
https://mega.co.nz/#!Ho5UTY6K!frD11wWPIC6LBTztRgifJ5F4FHJLebvuWrZzk-CFm1M
The following are apps for the /priv-app Folder
https://mega.co.nz/#!S1JDzQ6T!9dQQWhCG8Kyr_5qw8dcWXdC_VD7ly4qS7Xgx-k_30hM
WHOLE BL_ file extracted with directory structure
https://mega.co.nz/#!G5RiFRAY!CZX7I0eiP0K3Z88oT4Jkf1hwFL-XewI9qihA-oAb4UA
This may also help the devs if they need to edit or add something that got deleted

Does anyone still have this? The links say the files are no longer available. I was hoping to get S Health and Ultra Power Saving mode from these to use in another debloated rom.
