there are several threads about this, and even one dev thread with current progress, its one of the first threads in the dev section..
not to hard to find, so please at least take a look before posting Q&A in dev section, when there is a Q&A section!
just ticks me off

Yea me too. This is not place to ask this. The mods will close it no doubt. Alpha rev team are working on this. Hopefully we have something soon but for now WE DON'T HAVE S-OFF!

What next?

Apologies if I'm asking what is more than likely obvious to you experts... I decided to root my Sensation xl today and have succeeded I unlocked bootloader and ran the permaroot on the main thread. My intention is to install a different rom, can I just go ahead and do it or do I have to do something else first? I keep seeing this clockwork mod but not sure if I need to do that? Many thanks

First of all, I won't be horrible awesome that you've rooted but you've posted in the wrong section. Rather than just flaming you though I will try and help.
Make sure you follow the tutorials. So if you have rooted and done recovery, you need to flash the chinese ROM and boot.img if you haven't already.
Go to this thread and check the information for what you do after rooting and getting Clockwork MOD.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1466436
For your first install you don't have to install RCMix 3D you can choose whatever. Happy flashing!
I thought I might be in the wrong section lol. Ive been used to been spoon fed by Apple and need to switch my brain back on.....THANKYOU

Lol nice laugh this. Yeah after rooting need to flash recovery as that's needed to install custom Roms. After flashing recovery you need Chinese boot.img and Rom of your choice

But in the tutorials you say that the rcmix3d needs to be flashed first for those switching from stock ROM.

It's a suggestion but not a necessity, the reason it instructs to do so is that this is the method followed by many. Plus there were less ROMs then.
By all means do that, or instead of flashing RCMix3D when it says to, just pick one you like and flash.
thanks

UGH! Unrooted!?

I received the OTA .906 update and now my phone is unrooted! Does anyone know if the one click still works with this update? How is this even possible? If anyone knows how to re-root my previously rooted phone please help.
Did you even read the other threads about this update? (one of which you even POSTED in!)
One click root doesn't work anymore. Motofail works.

And i admit im guilty of it once but lets not keep posting questions in the dev section

Not flaming or anything but I'm tired of people posting general stuff in the dev section, our dev section is becoming less and less of a dev section now and more of a general section. Please stop

Especially when this has already been talked about in other threads.
I have a feeling not much admining is done for this forum

Isnt posting all theese negative comments just as bad?
A forum is a forum and people with ask their questions or post their comments no matter how you/we feel..isnt the best thing to answer the question and move on? Seems logical to me
Yes that is true but that is why there is different sections. Post in the section relevant to your topic, and if you have a question about the ota post it in the ota post, don't start an entirely new topic. It makes things cluttered

Wrong forum.
But, reading stickies will help you big time. Re-typing what the stickies will tell you is pointless. Read those, and follow CLOSE, STEP-BY-STEP, and you will be fine. The files in them should still be available. If not just search this vivid forum, you should find what you need. Otherwise post in the thread you find the info in and ask for updated links.
Thank for help. But the post of 2 links of this post on xda forum were deleted. So I tried to get anyone brother help with. But I will your way to find it, thanks anyway brother.
