[Boot Animation] [MOD] New Nexus Prime boot animation for MDPI Devices

Hi All,
I have edited the official Nexus Prime boot animation (BA) to fit in our MDPI because the original form of BA was for HDPI devices.
You can use this BA in any MDPI devices/roms/versions.
How to install: (Not flashable)
Download the attached zip file (don't change the name)
Use Root explorer or same kind of tool.
Copy the boot animation from SD card and paste it to system/media folder (please don't forget to unmount by pressing r/w)
Note: Given path is for CM7 and for MIUI ROM put it in /data/system/theme/boots/
Reboot

Optimus 2x is HDPI.. I modded this BA to fit in MDPI devices. That's why you see blank space.. you can use the original version...

Hi, I copied the zip file system/media folder with root explorer but nothing happened on boot.
what I am doing wrong?

Installation:
Download the file.
If you have enough room in /system:
Copy the file to /system/media, overwriting the file that may already be there
Reboot
If you do not have enough room in /system:
Copy the file to /sdcard
Run these commands in a terminal (enter for each new line)
Code:
su
mount -o rw,remount -t yaffs2 /dev/block/mtdblk0p3 /system
rm /system/media/bootanimation.zip
ln -s /sdcard/bootanimation.zip /system/media/bootanimation.zip

Nope that probably won't work cause the Ace's screen is bigger. If you want to use them, you have to resize.

Add this too in ur list....it has galaxy s3 also ....how shall i replace them? Via root explorer or flash via cwm? I have never tried replacing its for the first time for me

Nah, you just need an image editor to edit the size (240x320) and to change the txt file. Don't test the new boot anim in your device. You can find Boot animation Factory here, in xda, just search for it.
With that, you can also preview the boot anim in your pc ;D

i provided a detail guide on how to create, resize, replace bootanimations along with sound

[WIP][PORT] Jelly Bean Boot Animation

I really like the new boot animation in Jelly Bean so I took a few minutes to port it. Attached is the ported bootanimation.zip file from Jelly Bean. I basically just re-sized frames and changed the resolution which has it working pretty well.
It's *not* flashable and it *does* require root.
To install just place in the /system/media folder using root explorer, adb, terminal emulator, etc.
There is color banding. I've been playing with 16 colors and dithering which fixes the banding but introduces tons of noise. If anyone has some experience with this, tips or intervention would be much appreciated.

- this is from the OTA preview on Galaxy Nexus (Google IO) as albundy2010 pointed out.

Just installed this and it is very nice. I absolutely love this. I kept restrting my phone to see this. this can lead the way for people planning on porting Jelly Bean 4.1 to our devices

Quite right, though, I like the X one . It's so... simple.

Well, I don't know for sure as I don't really have one to test with but a bootanimation gone bad wont hurt anything if you'd like to test it. The resolution is 480x480, if that's too large then maybe it won't work. Let me know and I can post a re-sized zip if you'd like.

Just copy them to your phone. No need to 'install' them. Best best is to put them in a folder called Wallpaper.
