Push email from exchange not working since update - Galaxy Tab 8.9 General

I have an exchange activesync mailaccount set up. Its supposed to push my mail. And so it did - until I installed the new maintainence update.
Now my new mail doesnt show up in the widget nor the mail app, before I go into my mailbox and start scrolling or otherwise refresh the view.
Very annoying :-(

I had this problem in 3.1 stock version, after 3.2 (flash+clean) works perfect.

How did you do the cleaning part?
Sent from my Samsung GT 8.9. using Tapatalk

If you install clockwork mode recovery, when you boot in cwm there is a option to wipe and clean cache.

Ok - thanks

Whatsapp for galaxy tab2

Is there anyone of you guys who fixed or knows if there is a version of whatsapp that is compatible with the Galaxy tab 2
Sent from my GT-P5110 using XDA Premium HD app
You need a rooted android Phone for this and your tablets must be rooted too
1. BackUp Whatsapp with TitaniumBackup on your rooted Phone
2. Root your Tablet
3. Download TB on your Tablet
4. Put the backup files of your Phone in the TB folder of your tablet
5. Open TB and restore Whatsapp
Done!
Its this Guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1516337

I got whatsapp working on my tab by tricking the system. The mqin problem you may have on a non-3g tablet is that you don't have a cell numeber to which whatsapp can send it's confirmation. So you do this
1. Install whatsapp using a valid and accessible cellphone number
2. Start the registration
3. Wait until the waiting period is over and it asks you if you want to be called with the number.
4. Answer yes and wait for whatdapp to call you with the number
5. Enter the given number.
6. Happy chatting.
It worked for me, but turned out that it takes up so much resources that it slowed EVERYTHING down.

I thought I was the only one experiencing this.
I installed benzrom a couple of days ago and the sms was working fine until this morning. I tried wipe caches, mount/unmount data etc.. Same thing. Can receive but not send.
I installed another sms client and it now works fine (any sms app will work, I have gosms for now).
Did you do anything prior to this? As I was messing about with link2sd.
Sent from my GT-I8190 using Tapatalk 2
Flash this via CWM/TWRP
Thanks it's fixed. You should include Android stock 4.1 JB messaging app in your rom, available from play store. It's much more appealing than the one from your rom..

[Q] n7000 download issue from google play

hi!
my samsung note from vodafone keeps getting error message when trying download or update any apps larger than 7.5mb, when i logged into google play account, the status of those apps were completed. these have been happening for 1 month, since i come back from 3 months holiday overseas. I have factory reset my samsung note when the issues happened, but nothing help.
when i download or update those apps, i would mostly get the error message "package file is invalid" and also "error 911" "error 923". i contacted vodafone and google play support, they checked everything for me and couldn't find any issues between their services and my accounts.
when i shared the wifi to an ipad or a samsung tab, there was no problem downloading on these devices. so the issues are only with my note n7000.
i am wondering if there is any settings that could cap my downloading capacity.
can anyone help me with the issues asap please? it's such a headache!!!
thanks!
Why don't you try wifi, bro? Just a suggestion.

I have the same issue! Thought it was just "normal" or Play Store related, not a problem. Hope there's an answer somewhere.
if you have checked all the settings related to APN, clear data, and cache of Google play and play services, also uninstalled updates, wiped dalvik cache in recovery.. still the same issue. once try to delete the google account and re enter it. and check again
Well there are some 3G packs that limit bandwidth. I dont think its a problem of your device when you can download over wifi. Change your sim and try again with another one.

If everything is stock and you didnt tinker with rom/ google apps then try warrantee.
If warrantee/Samsung cant fix it then try philz kernel for your rom. downoload your csc rom (dial *#06#, to get emei).
then dial *#272*youremeihere# then you know what csc and what rom to download.
Now backup fotos, texts etc (no apps or data) and go into recovery mode, on phillz kernel and wipe everything, also in advanced (only dalvik) Go to mounts and format everything (take out sdcard before)
Now head into download mode, confirm and flash the rom via pc odin (dr ketans thread stickied in development section)
It should be working again after this.
all at own risk

Wifi Trouble :)

Hi everyone this is my first post .
*So, I upgraded my Galaxy S Advance (official ROM) with Odin. Now my wifi connects with Internet, but doesn't give Google suggestions. Also Google Play leaves me with "No Connection". So it works half now. How am I supposed to fix this?

Did you wipe system cache and data, before flashing?

Try a factory reset.
Wipe date and cache but be sure to take backup of your apps and data using 3rd party applications.

After installing new ROM playstore Does not sync download application application

After installing a new (various) ROM and preforming a full wipe Playstore does not auto load the applications in my google account. Note that auto application auto sync is all checked as active. Any idea of a solution?

Did you log into your Google account during the initial setup or did you go through the setup then log into your Google account?
Sent from my GT-P7510 using Tapatalk HD
I don't recall, what is the correct procedure?
Sent from my GT-I9000 using xda app-developers app
If you log into your Google account during the setup (when it says "Do you have a Google Account?"), then let the setup continue, THEN the apps will automatically download.
If you skipped that part, let the rom fully boot up then logged in, it won't download your apps automatically.
Sent from my GT-P7510 using Tapatalk HD
You may be probably correct, i will try to do both paths for my next ROM upgrade. Thanks for the feedback..
