Blackberry remote with Touchpad - TouchPad Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

has anyone been able to get this to work?? does cm9/touchpad support the bluetooth HID profile? i cannot get my Blackberry to find the touchpad via bridge, but I can pair with it.
Edit: nevermind, I got to work! this thing is awesome!

How did you do it?

Wow...can't believe BB Bridge remote control works on ICS. Just tried it myself. Pair your Touch pad with your BB, use the latest bridge app, the one with the remote control feature, and viola, remote control on the Touch pad. Its a little jerky, but works just fine. Thanks phonetec!

Can anyone elaborate on getting this to work? Im running Cyanogenmod 9 on the Touchpad. I also have blackberry bridge installed with Blackberry Remote on a Torch 9810. I can get the touchpad to link with the phone via bluetooth, however I can not get the bridge to really see the phone as a keyboard. Have you guys previously used this with a playbook? Because Ive read that helps out.

I couldn't get it to work until I paired it with a playbook 1st

Thanks a lot. So to be clear I should:
-Borrow a playbook, connect to it using the Blackberry Bridge App, and then control is using PhoneRemote.
-Then pair my touchpad (CM9) via bluetooth, and again run the Blackberry Bridge app
-This time it will work with PhoneRemote?

Touch Pro Keyboard as Remote or Wireless Bluetooth device

I know I am going on a limb here but ....
I was trying to have the PS3 recognize the Touch Pro connection via Bluetooth. Also have the laptop do the same to use for presentations.
Any chance anyone knows of an app or way to pull this off?
cheers!
GRemote can get it to work with the laptop. But I don't know about getting it to work with the PS3.

Yeah I´ve tried that app with mixed results. Thanks for the input!

hi

is any apk to use my nokia 5800 phone as modem with my gtablet????
thx.
Since it uses the Symbian OS, you can try tethering it via Bluetooth. I know that for the most part Android tablets in general have problems tethering to another Android phone via Bluetooth, but seem to work well on phones utilizing another OS (i.e Apples iOS)
I am in the same situation is there any more information on how to do this?
Have you guys tried BT?
i think that i found a solution,, you have to install joiku spot on your nokia 5800 and that's it.
Joiku Spot is an aplication that convert your nokia into a wireless router.
Hi, I'm currently using Barnacle on my Huawei phone to tether my GTab...works great!

Compatible Bluetooth Mouse?

Has anyone found a compatible bluetooth mouse? I can't find a standalone bluetooth mouse that will successfully pair with my DB (I have tried a Targus Model#: AMB04US and a Think Outside BT Mouse).
Furthermore, all posts I can find relating to the subject are for a keyboard with a built-in trackpad but I hate trackpads. I want to use a standalone bluetooth mouse and don't want to have to buy a dock (I am using the Webtop hack that bypasses the need for a dock).
Thanks in advance.
I successfully used my MS Bluetooth Mouse 5000 on the web-top. But here's the thing that might be causing your issue with the other mice: When I went to pair the mouse with the web-top it was waiting for me to enter a pairing code on the phone screen window and since i had that window behind a Firefox window and I didn't realize it the pairing process kept failing.
Logitech has a mouse out meant for android tablets. Maybe give that one a try?

Thanks for the suggestion. I get the pairing code window, but when I enter 0000, 1234, or 4321 (per Motorola Support's suggestion), they all fail. Targus support says it is because there is no PIN required. So if I enter something then delete the pin I entered (just to get the OK button to activate), it still fails.
I'm glad to hear that the MS Bluetooth Mouse 5000 works though. It appears reasonably priced online. Motorola wants me to go buy their mouse for $40+shipping. Seems a bit steep for something that clearly isn't working due to software incompatibility.

I wanted to close out this topic by giving others the following insight:
The MS Bluetooth 5000 mouse works flawlessly with my Droid Bionic both in standalone mode (nothing attached) and in Webtop mode (with the WebtopMod_Hack that enables you to get to webtop without a dock). I purchased it for $18 from a seller on eBay and found other sellers listing it for $20-$25.
Hope this helps future purchasers out.
Same here...
I'd also like to chime in and say the Microsoft Bluetooth Mouse 5000 works just fine.
It really irks me though, because I have an older (ironically) Bluetooth Mouse 8000 which I really liked because it had an integrated laser pointer and presentation controls on the underside of it. I could never get it to pair.
Microsoft must have made some changes in the device firmware stack because now with the 5000, I could get it to pair to my Bionic using the passkey 0000.
No matter what I tried, the 8000 would not pair.

I've just picked up Logitech's V470, and it works great! No issues

Identical setup (stock, rooted, webtop mod), identical results! In fact the V470 has worked on DX, Xoom, and now the Bionic for me with no issues.
Same problem with microsoft notebook presenter mouse 8000
Same problem. Imposible to sync MS Mouse notebook . (Asus Transformer Prime TF201)

I have the wireless Apple Mighty Mouse that I use with my Mac and that paired up well with the phone.
I'm running the latest CM9 SELFKANG. The cursor works fine. Scrolling with the trackball is great. Clicking is fine. But it lags and locks up horribly on stock. Anyone else notice that?
Mouse Acceleration?
Do you have any mouse acceleration with the mice you have tried? I just tried to plug in a Logitech MX518 to the USB-port and i have terrible mouse acceleration (when you move the mouse slowly the mouse sensitivity is really low, but when you move the mouse fast the sensitivity is much higher).
I need to find a mouse that does not do this (or a program that will correct it).
I found a solution to this maddening issue!!!
Solution is very simple!
1) Download an app called bluetooth pairing in Play Store, its in japanese but all you need to do is click the magnifying glass icon, then click your device and hit the big blue button that comes next..
2) Disable and enable your bluetooth on the phone, the device is already paired
3) Select the device and it works perfectly.
Discovered this fix accidentally..
I use the Microsoft Bluetooth Notebook Mouse 5000. Works awesome no need for a third party program the mouse cursor works fine and you can find tune the mouse cursor in the language and input settings of the settings menu. I really like using the scroll wheel and you can even use right click with in ES File Explorer.
I use this same mouse with my laptop.

Anyone tried a Razer Orochi mouse? That is the bluetooth mouse I want to pick up for my laptop since I hate dongles and am adding a bluetooth transmitter internally to the laptop. Would be nice to have a mouse that will work for both my laptop and for my DB with the lapdock. I know that with the lapdock most USB dongle wireless mice will work but I hate dongles and I know one day I'm going to lose the stupid thing and be SOL.

[Q] Keyboard bluetooth profile query

Have looked but not found. Once the Nook Color is rooted does it use the HID bluetooth profile or the SPP bluetooth profile? Or another profile? And does it vary depending on what one uses to root?
I need to know to think about/try bluetooth keyboards. (If it matters, planning to root with Cyanogen mod either on my own or buying chip. Probably on my own with Sandisk Class 4 16GB.)
Thanks guys and will share what I learn.

You need to have CM7 rather than just be rooted. It is CM7 that added support for the bluetooth hardware that was in the Nook but was not used until CM7 developers turned it on.
Range of operation can be quite limited and varies from device to device. I successfully use a mini bluetooth keyboard/touchpad (iPazzPort) which connects with a HID profile. This device works well up to about 8 feet away.
Where did you get the keyboard?
Sent from my MB520 using xda premium
You can get them via Amazon. Search for "iPazzport Bluetooth". Be careful to look for the Bluetooth version as they do a very similar model which works via non-bluetooth RF with a special dongle. The model I got is something like KP-810-10-BTT and it has built in touchpad, laser pointer and a USB Bluetooth dongle. They do other models with just keyboards but I liked having the touchpad as well.
I actually got mine on eBay saving a bit more over the Amazon sourced version. I think I paid about $26.
As well as Nook usage I found it works well as a little remote keyboard into my Media Center PC, although I am now using the Nook itself with the Universal Remote App as a remote control for this as well.

GAME PADS??

Hey guys.

your english is perfectly fine dude.
didnt really wanna spend more cash on another pad.
i have 4 xbox one pads and also a microsoft wireless adaptor, a couple of wii pads and 2 x ps3 pads knocking about. ps3 pads have borked batts tho.
something amongst that lot must work?! :crying:
If you really wanna use your Xbox One Controller, you can use an otg-adapter to plug in the wireless-adapter of your controller. If this doesn't work for you, you have to root your device and set up the controller via an extra app. An easier way to play emulator games on your tablet is using your smartphones as bluetooth controller. For this method you don't need to root your phone. Just load the app "BT Controller" via Playstore on your phone and your tablet and follow the instructions to connect them via bluetooth and easiely setup the buttons layout. You can set up 4 smartphones as controller at the same time
Hope i could help you

the tab s2 is rooted.
i have tried it with OTG, wired and using an adaptor.
the tab sees the controller when its wired using the USB/BT joystick centre but thats as far as it goes, no key presses on the pad register.
i havent tried to use my phone as a controller, that kinda defeats the object tho', i may as well just use the tablet screen.
ok,
so it seems Play station pads with OTG function flawlessly.
bubble bobble here we come!!

I can confirm this; I use a Playstation 3 controller via OTG and an adapter regularly. I always start the Sixaxis app whenever I do, but not sure if I need to... I haven't even tried using it with blutooth, but it's an easy way to switch the IME to the controller.
