installed CWM and CM9 per the wiki on rootzwiki
everything seemed to install just fine, however the tablet keeps rebooting upon trying to boot into cyanogen. it goes to the loading screen then reboots shortly after. anyone have any idea as to why this is occurring?

Not sure but did you wipe the cache and the davlik cache? I'd try that first. Might want to try re-downloading the zip and reinstalling if that doesn't work.
At various times I get events:
Seems when charging cable is removed it settles down and behaves better..
When selecting the reboot it shuts down.
When shut down it reboots.
North do I get battery charging symbol when off.

Had the same issue. You need to install it with ACMEInstaller2 instead of the old one. Had to install and uninstall it 2 times before figuring that out.
If you came from cm7 also be sure to clear out the old kernel. Apparently the touchpad can have two kernels on it, which messes things up.

This is the HP Touchpad forum. You'd be better off asking in the Galaxy W forum.

Hi
I'm having problems when turning on my galaxy note. I was using Paranoid Android J.B. and was playing Death Trigger happily when suddenly the screen started acting like an old T.V. I got scared so I exited the game and rebooted the phone and got stuck so I re restarted the phone by long pressing the power button but this time it didn't boot but only appeared quickly the galaxy note N-7000 screen and turned off.
At first I charged the phone thinking maybe it was low on battery but happened the same. Then I entered to recovery mode after pressing the buttons a longer than usual time and installed P.A. CM9. Everything was ok but 15 minutes later I ran off of battery and the phone turned off. I charged again the phone and after a few minutes I tried to turn on the phone but I couldn't because again all I got was a quick flash of the galaxy note screen.
I entered again on the recovery mode but this time I only selected the reboot phone option and it turned on as always.
Does someone knows what could it be or how to fix it?
Would you recommend me to install stock rom and unroot the phone just in case?
Thanks four your help
Hello perri.etb, you could first try another custom firmware and see if the exact problem persists. You could then try a stock firmware just to double-check.

That's why I installed Paranoid Android CM9. I have used it some time and know that it works perfectly but yeah, maybe installing a TW rom could work. I'll try.
Edit
I installed another rom and everything worked fine. Now I installed again P.A. CM9 and everything is fine.
Thanks.

Hello perri.etb, I am glad you have resolved the issue.
I have been running Slimbean 2.8 since it came out, tried to upgrade to 2.9 when it came out and got a bootloop. I saw some where to hold the power button down till the phone shuts off to fix the bootloop, the problem is my power button doesn't work. Thought I would just wait for the next release to come out, so I went to upgrade today to 3.1 and same problem.
It may not actually be a boot loop, but that is the best way I can describe it. It boots the first time and goes through the app initialization then reboots. After that it hangs on the slimbean boot animation.
I have tried pulling the battery and reinstalling, re-wiping dalvik/cache, re-downloading zip. I haven't tried a factory reset(hoping to avoid that).
Any suggestions?
Thanks

Have you tried flashing the ROM, rebooting into recovery and re-flashing it?
I tried that and it didn't fix the problem. However I started doing some playing, since it seemed to boot the 1st time and die after it loaded the apps I figured it was app related. So I formatted datadata and data and re-flashed, everything worked fine after that.
Thanks for the suggestion

Hello,
I started two days ago looking for a new Android since my 2.3.3 didn't run smooth anymore, and I thought maybe i should update to 4.X.X.
So I tried many different ICS and JB Roms and followed every guide i found exactly my last one, which I thought would help me was this guide.
But now my problem. Every time I got stuck after successful Rom installation, wiping data / cache and dalvik, I got stuck in a Bootscreen loop i tried every solution I found but nothing worked for me.
I tried to reinstall everything flashing 2.3.6JVU version via Odin and installing .zip with CWM, but I got stuck again.
I'm sitting here now for two days trying everything but nothing seems to work. I waited several hours and nothing happend so please if anyone can help me, I'm getting pretty desperate about that right now
Also 'im quite a noob with flashing
thanks in advance :fingers-crossed:

Thank you, thank you so much :victory: I tried the "FIRST STEP for ALL Problems:-
Whenever you have a problem with your Phone, power it down, remove battery, remove SIM card and Ext SD card and press and hold your power button for at least 30 seconds to a min, before reinserting battery and trying any solution" and it worked!
I have my ICS rom now installed and I hope it runs without problems
Hello all
First of all, I'd like to say that I've spent a lot of time searching through XDA and other websites on the internet, and so far I didn't find a solution to my problem, and that's why I'm creating this new thread.
I have a Galaxy Ace S5830B and just flashed Mardon's version of CM10.1.6 ROM in it, following every single step on his guide, using CWM 5.0.2.6.
I made sure that before flashing the new ROM I wiped the whole thing, clearing cache, dalvik cache, formatting /system and doing the factory reset.
I did not manually flash any kernel.
Everything runs smoothly and ok, just like all compliments the ROM gets on his topic, except for when I have to shut the phone down.
Once it is shut down and I'm powering it back on it gets into a boot loop that won't go past the Samsung logo. It means that the Samsung logo goes on, fades off and then it loops back to it, and the Cyanogenmod blue circle loading animation never comes.
It only works when I get back into CWM and hit "reboot system now" . Then it reboots normally.
I'd just like it to act normally, booting normally straight from a powered off state without having to go through CWM everytime I need to switch the phone on. That's because it's my father's phone, and having him getting into CWM every now and then after a battery run off is too risky, you know what I mean.
Any help will be very very much appreciated.
Thank you
Riggs

When you are using CM10.1 by Mardon, NEVER WIPE DATA/FACTORY RESET!! ...You should fix your problem flashing again the rom
The ROMs are already preconfigured and when you wipe data/factory reset, all those settings will be lost and the device won't be able to boot successfully again
Oh, nice to know that! I'll try it soon, then I'll post the results.

Ok, so just follow the correct steps to re-flash CM10.1
All of a sudden after a year running cm10 (I think) my touchpad gets stuck in the infinite boot loop. The cyanogenmod logo comes up and the arrow goes around in a circle than freezes and goes back to moboot. I just tried to install 10.1 and the same thing happened. Should I just try to use ACMEuninstaller and install everything again? Do I just run the uninstaller through the command prompt? Is there an easier way to do this? My usb connection for the device seems to be spotty too. I can't touch it or it loses connection. Any help would be appreciated. I haven't updated my touchpad in a long time.
Update: I used the uninstaller than followed the guider here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=37965549#post37965549
I got passed the loop a couple times only to have the touchpad crash as I was setting it up. Now it is back to the reboot loop. Any other ideas? My webOs isn't working properly too. I installed the update for that a long time ago but now I can't connect to the app catalog or even set up my email accounts.
What is the best way to completely wipe CM?

Yeah, I did that and tried to reinstall cm10.1 and still had the loop problem. Going to uninstall again and try the toolbox. That looks pretty cool.
Now I cannot get anything to even finish installing. The installation process is stuck on "clock dg_timer, alarm already expired, now...." I think my touchpad is toast.

Are you trying to install CM10.1 with the TPtoolbox? You're not giving enough information about what you're up to or the files you're trying to use. Do a complete data reset then try and install Jcsullins CM11.
