Probably bricked it, but idk HOW it got bricked, I rooted it following the Tmo version root on here, and then I installed MIUI via clockwork recov, and it installed. Now it isn't turning on....I just got it today, and I really don't want to go back to T-Mobile and look like a psycho coming in everytime. I mean I do got insurance on it, so if that's the last resort, then so be it. But for now, any ideas???

yea, tried it all...its literally dead. is it because of MIUI?
I have same problem. Have you had a chance to try different battery
I have the same problem.Have you had any luck?
I bought the international version from Amazon and got it today. I turned it on and it worked fine, about 4 minutes in to me going through the setup screen, the screen went all pixelated with a white bar through the screen. I pulled the battery and restarted, then an update popped up, I then went ahead and installed it. It completed, booted up and I signed into evertthing. About 10 minutes later it froze, so I pulled the battery again, and went to restart and now it just boot loops.
Is the device rooted? If so, you could try installing a custom rom assuming doing so doesn't void your warranty.

Sounds dodgy. I wouldn't bother flashing custom Rom or rooting a device so clearly faulty. Return it and get a working unit.

Nope, this is my initial turning on of the device so it isn't rooted yet.

I figured it was, but I wanted to make sure it wasn't just some error that the phone gave before the recent update. I'll be returning it and maybe I'll get the AT&T version. Thanks a lot.

Hello Forum!
I have a nasty problem. I installed CM7 on my girlfriend's Galaxy Mini, but for any reason, the menu and back key's don't work anymore. They don't even turn on (I'm talking about the light). Without those, the phone is practically unable to use. I tryied to flash stock, chocobread and cm9 without any luck. Several factory resets, wipes and everything, but any luck.
Can you guys please advice?
Thanks in advance!
Jekyll

There is light?
Sent from my GT-S5570 using Tapatalk 2
I think u r on the wrong forum...galaxy mini has no backlight for buttons...check the model no. in settings if u hav a doubt..
OK! My mistake. As I said, it's my girlfriend's phone, not my. I have a SGII, that's why I was thinking about the light in the buttons. She just confirm me that they don't light up.
Anyway, they don't work! First, I tryied CM7.2 RC5.7, later, CM7.2 RC1, later Chocobread 3.0.1, finally Stock on 2.3.4 & 2.3.6... nothing!
Yes, I did wipes (factory/cache/dalvik) between all the changes...
Please, help!
wow weird problem....
if you have tried everything and it doesn't work, I suggest you to go to the service center, maybe it causes by hardware problem
The problem is that they were working before!
As soon as I flashed for the first time, they suddenly dead. First, I thought that was a CM7 problem, because the phone was working right but I wanted to flash to have more options. But then, I changed to Chocobread, but nothing, finally to stock, without any luck either...
Try update through KIES?

flash the stock rom of ur region n take ur galaxy mini to the samsung center..
bt dont even tell them about flashing stuff if u want to take advantage of warranty period!

Flash a firmware which has four files not a one package firmware !
If still it does not works then Care is the answer
It simply is hard problem. Maybe 2 button have been broken!
Please flash stock ROM, then unroot and bring it to samsung center to make them fix it or change a new phone for free ^^
I have a samsung galaxy camera. when i open camera a warning appears "camera failed". have checked through internet and done so many things... firmware upgrade, factory reset, and so much. but not working. please help me
If you've tried all of that, I'd say your only bet is to send it in for repair.

Yes . i pressed the on/off and the one on the zoom. it gave two options to restart or to add a new os . For the restart: it would again blink samsung and for the next option it says not power off the device and downloading something . but nothing really happens

You need to get, into the recovery mode of the camera and perform a reset, any data on the internal storage will get wiped but providing nothing catastrophic has happened, you should get your camera working again.

I installed androids adt bundle in order to do run
"adt reboot recovery" command (i googled how to do recovery for samsung galaxy camera)
But
On Unbutu it couldnt detect external device.
On windows it couldnt install the mtp device driver. that that too prompted no external devices detected after running the command
how should i do the recovery ?

Yeah, it will. The only reason it wouldn't is if you've screwed something really bad. But we'll cross that bridge if it comes to it.

If it's brand new I'd just send it back, it should not be doing that right out the box.

Hi. I followed all the process you gave and mine still not working. (Camera Failed) . help please
im having the same problem now . did u find the problem and what was its solution?? ( camera failed problem)
I received my 6.0.1 update via at&t a few days ago and have been loving it so far. However, I have run into an issue today. My screen in randomly unresponsive. It is lit up, but it does not respond to touch. If I press the power button to put the screen to sleep and then wake it back up again it works, but that's sort of inconvenient.
Has anyone else experienced this issue? If so, how did you fix it. I've wiped the system cache already and that didn't fix the problem.
I've also installed Good Lock, if that is of any importance.
This phone is fully stock and has not been modified in any way.
I appreciate the help in advance!!!
If you already wiped cache and the problem persists, then my friend a Factory Data Reset is the step to take. My Galaxy S6 running at AT&T received the Platform upgrade a few days ago and before doing the Factory Reset I install Good Lock just to see what's going on. I was pretty lost with it so uninstall. After the upgrade I never experienced an unresponsive screen.

Wiping Cache is not bad. It is when you have to resort to wiping data that means a lot of work.

I just wiped everything and only downloaded my most used apps. Seems to be working now. Time to re-download Good Lock and see what happens!
