[Q] No access to external SD with ICS - Galaxy Note GT-N7000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello together.
I have some big problem with all ICS releases:
No matter which ICS Release I flash, I don't have access to my external SD card. Even not in Recovery. Does anyone have an idea why this is? I think the mount points are a bit mixed up. How can I check this?
Someone can help me?
Thanks.

[Q] Failed to move application. Not enough memory" when trying to move applications.
I've been using my google skills to try to figure this one out, but unfortunately, I did not find a single helpful post. I'm hoping someone can help.
When trying to move an application to the internet SD card, I get the error "Failed to move application. Not enough memory".
Problem is, I have 1.7GB left "On phone" and 11.3GB left "On SD Card". I'm using Apps2sd to report how much storage is left and to determine which applications can be moved.
I have read that if I had an external memory card, it would work. But I want to know if there's something that can be done so that we can move them to the internal SD instead.
From what I saw on a Nexus One, it appears that other Android phones don't have an internal SD card. So it would make sense that it moves it only to the external SD...
I just want input on this "problem", I'd really like to know why I can't use my 16GB of storage for applications! And also, enlighten other people that might come across this.
same problem here, any work around this issue?
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA App

Anyone? C'mon folks! Why is this happening? How do we fix it? Could it be because of the lagfix? Using Froyo JL2 on a rooted and lagfixed (OCLF) I9000M.
Same here. As the previous posters, I am unable to move any app to SD.
When I try (through Manage applications), I get the dreaded "Failed to move application. Not enough memory" even if I have plenty of memory.
Is this a common problem? Are we the only ones experiencing it?
I am running JPY, updated through Kies after disabling the Voodoo lagfix and then doing a factory reset.
Please please help. At least let us know that it is just us and that it works for the rest of JPYs out there.

Received my replacement handset from Orange (UK) today. The GPS is locking on soo well, functions properly now.
I flashed straight to JPY via reg patch, tried moving an app to SD, get the same error message.
It worked on my old handset 2.2.1 JPY also but with subpar GPS. Today i receive a new handset with a different problem lol.
Any ideas...anyone??
Hey all .... the move to SD is only valid for EXTERNAL SD card, NOT internal.
I successfully moved some apps over after I slot in an external SD card for my SGS. Tried this after I read somewhere the 'apps2sd' tool is designed only for EXTERNAL SD.
Hope this helps....

So is the internal SD only for data storage, not apps?
I found a solution!
I had the same exact problem as you have, and after some rummaging around the interwebs I've found an answer -> SDMove
Just for the sake of information, make sure you don't have the phone connected to your PC via cable. Just like how it happened with me.
Also try SDMaid in market. It cleans the sd.
same problem
I have the same problem and I have an external SD card. Captivate ATT android 2.2 (for now)

[Q] SD to emmc

Hi,
first of all I would like to thank so many people working on this wondeful distributions that make NC so great.
I have Nookie Froyo on SD and I love it but have some performance issues that seem to come from SD card itself. I understand that installing into emmc would solve the performance issue, provide more space for files and liberate SD for more memory.
My questions for you are:
1.- Is it possible to transfer the SD to emmc exactly as it is? (programs, configuration, etc.) and How !!!!
2.- if possible, and done, will I be able to get back to stock NC? (and also How)
Thanks in advance, thanks thanks thanks.

Rom without Storage Card?

Hello,
could someone pls tell me if it is possible to use android without a storage card?
I just borrowed a storage card of my friend, tomorrow i have to give it back to him.
I am looking forward to hearing from you.
not possible yet, NAND is in development - be patient, there are some guys working on it, but I don't know exactly if there is still a SD card required because the internal memory is limited

[Q] how to make the I9000 use the external SD as his internal SD?

hi.
seems like my device cannot be upgraded to ICS from GB because it has a problem accessing the internal SD card while booting after upgrade and thus i get an error saying "encryption unsuccessful"
to my understanding there was a way to make the device think that a part of the external SD is actually the internal SD.
this may fix my problem however i did not found a way to do it.
did any of you know what i am talking about?

help please

Do you mean external SD card? If so is it aokp rom?
Then you gotta flash a file called services.jar search it in aokp thread.
If youre running something else or if you mean USB storage (internal SD card) then I don't know the solution.

Pleas tell us the ROM and kernel that u're using
