Capture screen / Screenshot inbuilt in stock rom - LG Optimus Black

Did you know you can take screenshots if you're on any of the stock roms for the Optimus Black.
Just press the [HOME] button and the power [i/o] button together quickly and a quick screen capture will be saved of the present screen you're on.
If you didn't know this already then hitting the thanks button is much appreciated, and if you already knew this then please don't bash on me here.

And if you long press the home key alone it opens the most recent apps that you used.

Thank you for the sarcastic comment. I guess you didn't read the first post properly and that might be because you're too careless. Anyways this is for the brand new OB users.

Im going to be honest with you i have been in this forum for more than a year (g1,hd2,mt4g,my touch, incredible, droid x and alot more i dont remember) if you see my numbers your are going to laught. but you know what i dont care because i dont know you but im here to learn of the devs if i can help i do or at least i try. But i not going to clicking thanks on every silly post. And honestly theres only a few posts deserve thanks in this bionic forum the rest are are just a waste of time. Like i said im not here for numbers and im not afraid to click the thanks but you are going to see my thanks on the posts i think really deserve.
This is no personal im just making my point and trying to help you with your question.
i prefer too see a member with 25 helpful posts than a member with 300 nonsense posts.

I use the xda app and don't see a thanks button. But does it make a difference if someone tells you thank you or hits the thanks button? A lot of the people who need help on here is because they haven't taken the time to read through the information and follow instructions. If they can't take time to read and follow instructions, can't really expect them to click a thanks button.

To a point yes to a point no and all you have to do is push the menu button on phone browser and click the thanks button bam done.

Unfortunately when I hit menu, it doesn't have a thanks button. I get refresh, reply, subscribe, browser, close.
I still stand by that majority of the help could be avoided in the first place if people would read and follow the exact directions. Most of the.questions on here have been answered many times and still get asked again. I am starting to see why so many developers have left xda.

Tap the post you want to thank and it's in that menu. If it's not in there then make sure you've got the latest version. It's been in for a while now so I'd be surprised if it was because you've got an old version, but you never know.
Not positive, but I don't think the free xda app has a thanks button

Well really it comes down to what you define as making a dev more senoir. Post dont really count as anyone could post loads. And the thanks button is quite a new feature so not really as fair on long standing devs.
But at the end of the day they are both amazing devs and i am sure in time he will get elite status anyway

ICS Driver for P990

Hi thats my first thread so...it isn't good... ...not really.
The ZTE Mimosa X has got the same chip (Tegra 2 AP20H) as the O2X, hasn't it?
And it has Android ICS 4.
So maybe some devs can extract the driver code of the rom and use it to compile a ics driver for our O2X.
Could that work?
No, no and NO!
GAH!
Whats wrong with people? How hard can it be to make a little search?
Sent from my LG-P990 using xda premium
Ooooh, that was mean...!
From what I understand, it cannot happen but even if it could:
the problem is NVIDIA doesn't release the source. The fact that the device you mentioned has gotten ICS doesn't mean the source is out there for devs to use.
There's an official thread for this in general section and discussed this for hundred of times

WOW. HerrKuk assumes the OP knows there is something to search for in the first place. It's his first post. You need to take a chill pill and get more fibre in your diet.
As for kaspar737, just plain rude and offensive. And ignorant to boot. A classic combination. Keep churning out the useless comments, we're all better off because of your input.

Hi kaspar737, unfortunately not every forum has a great search engine such as Google. I'm not sure how the OP would phrase their query into a simple string this forums search engine could understand. As a matter of interest, how would you have phrased the search? Assuming the only knowledge you have are the tech specs for th two handsets.
Anyway, have fun. Anil
