hi guys , i've flashed to cyanogen nightly 70 on my OB i'm having some sound problems... so if i lower the sound at 50%(or below) there is no sound but then if i raise it at 60%-70%... the sound is good .... but then when is at 100% the sound its nasty , a low quality sound. I've never had this kind of problems on any rom... also there is random sound .. its like the sound when a little LED burns ... you know like "POCK!!" whenever i want to listen to music this kind of sound appears. i dunoo what the hell its going with this phone... Please help me guys. THANKS IN ADVANCE ! (sorry for my bad english)

I've never had the "pock" sound that he describes... And also sound is far better in recent nightlies that the first ones. Also consider is the speaker sound? or is the headphone sound that is distorted?
And for last, this thread should go to the Q&A section.
solution... try another rom that is not cyanogen; Zeus, Noa, Marvel, temasek kang...

Because It's still nightly, so there are some problems.
When I bought my phone, in stock 2.2, i heard "tak...tak...tak" when i'm calling. or "tak...tak...tak" in Talking Tom Cat until I flash Nova
on headphones sounds great ... but the problem is from speaker
my sound is also distorted both in headphone and speaker even on nightly 70 i tried last time...apart from that it's awesome...fast answer, unlike the stock 2.3 rom that answers 3 seconds after you swipe.
Use some other ROM till stable cm7. (just 1 more post )

Hi. When someone calls me, my front speaker is to quiet. I notice that after flashing my phone to CM7. Is there any app for that problem? Maybe something for regulating the front speaker volume... And I set my voice call volume to 100% with audioManager...

I had the same problem. Especially using poweramp the volume was quite. I think that is a programmed poweramp thing. I now use mortplayer and the sound is much better and louder.
I also installed xloud. But its difficult to say that there has changed something.

Hi have any you watched full on movies on your galaxy note ?? as when im watching em i have sound problems... when the scene in the movie is silent or speech no background sound the galaxy note cuts off.. its like it mutes as the somebody has a remote and he keeps pressing mute its really irritating ?? i am using volume + pro i did switch it off made no difference... Has anyone else had this problem ??? As i really need this fixed up Thanks

Are you guys on ics ??? as im sure on gingerbread it was fine ??? i cant really recall gingerbread as i had no note for 2 od months... Soon as i got my new note ics was released in the same week so i updated and the video audio issues started... Thanks

its definitely not the headphones or the hardware as we all have the same issue.. it must be software related this really sucks samsung better release a fix fast...
Under GB this problem definitly not exists! Now with ICS its a kind of noisegate when you listening in low volume, hope it will be fixed.

Are you using a custom rom ? Maybe flashing to stock and try to listen to the music.. If that doesnt work it must be something with hardware..

Same thing here with the HTC headphones. I tried to listen to music with his HTC (dont know which one) headphones and I couldnt hear the voices, just a little bit of music

Not headphone but the speaker on x8....I try flash back naa 11 kernal and rom gb sound is OK and clear..but when I use cm9 list music use a speaker the sound very tribal,myb audio lib or something I try flash again but sound is same.

OK is very hard to explain my problem bcoz I don't record sound and not very good in English
OK hare some clue open you favorites music player and play a music make sure no equalizer trun on and use volume 6..
You can hear sound like speaker damage when play a song
I am sure no problem with my speaker....

Its not a problem with your speaker as the cm9 roms have distorted audio, I made a small improvement by flashing this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=25612564&postcount=1686
Give it a try but make sure you either delete dsp manager or move it to somewhere other than /system/app using root explorer

Sound on CM9 is more louder then on CM7 so, if you have on 70/60% it's the same!:cyclops:
I flashed cm-10.1-20130201-NIGHTLY-p970.zip ROM ,,
almost everything is working fine except the following -
1. google contact sync error
2. bluetooth headset is connected but no sound comes from the bluetooth headset, initially for CM10 it was working fine !
Any suggesstions as to how can these bugs be overcomed ?? ?? ??

Yes,you can use it as your daily ROM.
There is little problem with Video Recording, but for "images" you can definately take good quality ones.
..
Another bug is that, if u connect your phone with a bluetooth headset then no sound comes from the bluetooth headset.
So, ultimately you have to disconnect the bluetooth headset and use handset or wired earphone for talking/listening.

go to settings ------> About Phone-------> now come to the last option "Build Number" --------> press on "Build Number" 8times.
..

What I got is a little different and quite strange. I could listen to music but sometimes the sound was cut many times until I move my phone until a "good" position and also it could just stop any sound until I use my BT headset to change the song and then I could hear what I would currently hear if everything was right and then it works until another cuts/no sound - and changing on the phone do not work -. That is sooo weird. X)

No problems with calls yet.
I have faced problems while using bluetooth headset.
And, about the camera ; image quality is good but the "macro-mode" clearity of stock lg rom was the best.

Hey all
I'm using the sultan kernel (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=39590429) and cm10 nightlies.
I'm having 2 issues with the kernel and I'm wondering whether they can be sorted:
1. Once in a while the notification drawer will freeze and when I reboot the phone it resets my homescreen and some of my settings, this also happens when I try change the gorvenor or go into kernel tuner
2. Horrible sound distortion, the phone's volume was louder as stock and wasn't distorted at all. Is there a fix for this?

For #1 there isn't much you can do... we need android1-7 to figure it out...
And if you look at the name of the kernel you flashed... the zip anyway... you'll see call volume test... and that should answer your second question...

Specifically which version of the kernel are you using ?
Your link dumps you on page 67 of an 83 page thread so I'm unsure which version of the kernel your using.
Beta 14 ? 13 ? one of the stable builds ?
I'm running beta 14, I've had the distorted speaker with all the versions

I noticed better sound quality on b13 from the loud speaker. b14 jacked up all volumes in an attempt to up the call volume... so... you can always go back to 13. Android 1-7 said he was going to work on it this weekend so you can also just wait...

Big Bug in the last kernel google play market crashes and the phone hanging in installed apps.
Battery out is the once reset for that ......
This make the device damage and bricked.
Best results work with standard CM 10 and his kernel .....
