[Q] Links to the fugu root kernel and sghi896 uxkh2 kernel - Captivate Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey, does anyone have fresh links to the files from the post here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=17865158&postcount=1182
Edit: Megaupload is down for obvious reasons

Use SuperOneClick Root! Way easier than flashing kernel.
Here is the link for the lastest version : http://depositfiles.com/files/n0dcxce3t

Error trying to flash BOCA RC1

Hello guys! Hope someone can help me:
I've got some trouble trying to flash BOCA RC1 on my P1000N tablet.
I get get.prop errors with "status 7" when trying to flash via CWM.
Followed all the directions i got from Magrathea's site and the same error always appear.
Using latest HumberOS kernel with EXT4 active and every other recomendation! (Can't download overcome's kernel from instruction because overcome's p1000 section won't open at all, but tried overcome 4.0.0 and the same error!)
What am I missing?
Thx for the help!
First, Replace the kernel in the zip file (zImage). with the Humberos Kernel (BOCA RC1) for P1000N.
see here for the kernel http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1124224&page=49
Credits to Diz and Humberos.
then, edit the build.prop in the tab, using a root file explorer, or adb. changue the model number string to: P1000, only delete the "N" letter.
I was having the same problems.
Remember to changue the modem if phone is not working.
Thanks rafaeker19.
Could you tell me from where did you download the BOCA-HumberOS kernel so I can change the zImage inside the tar? Can't find it anywhere...
EDIT: Oh, you already did it! Thanks again!

Lol this is a long way from where i would notice it quickly.
A forum post (on magrathea) or a website contact woulda been quick alos.
But were ever you want to post and get answers at
Each version has proper kernel inside.
Downloaded from same multiupoad link.
But i am now just becoming aware of the error notice.
The problem is i forgot to add your device in the updater script.
Or untill i reupload
Try going from humbertos cm7 straight to boca.

Sorry but, I thought I was failing in some part and didn't want to bother you in magratheas forum or something like that...
And it was very, very mean from your part to forget us, the P1000N users! But I forgive you!
Thanks!
EDIT: Seems it now updated just fine following rafaeker19's help!
I was getting the same error on what I think is just a standard p1000 using a number of different kernels, in the end I just gave up and decided to stick with stock. XD

Deodex

Can anyone make, or tell me where i can find, an Untweaked, untouched, version of STOCK KKA that has been deodexed.
I have looked and looked guys, but i just cant seem to find a help guide on how to do it myself for the note and what tools id need and info on wether i have to do anything else after deodexing.
Im at a loss, if there was a version of kka out there that has only been deodexed and nothing else then thatd be great.
Any help or info would be much appreciated.

Here are all the stock N7000 firmwares http://www.sammobile.com/firmware/?page=3. You must register to download and flash with Odin.
For a deodexed version you have to google around, maybe you`ll find one. Good luck
deodex
that, not what i want tho.
Anyone know where i can find instructions to deodex a stock rom on this galaxy note, it seems like there is no untweaked versions avail,
So that being the case, maybe someone could make a tutorial on hyow to correctly deodex their own stock rom and use it

Where to download old firmware files for i9000? multiupload is closed...

dear all
i can not find files for old firmwares for i9000, in samfirmware.com most of the links is from multiupload.com and the sites is closed (couple weeks ago it was shut down by FBI?)
so if anyone here know another repository for i9000 firmwares? i have problems with my internal sdcard which is toast, i found tutorials in this forum that requires :
A stock copy of JM8 firmware (Only the PDA)
A stock copy of JM1 firmware (PDA, Phone & CSC)
here is the link for the tutorial
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=19748407
thx guys
samfirmware.com
Why don't you post in that thread, maybe they have it saved on their computer and can provide a link for you.
Also there is stock firmware in the general section i believe or it maybe in the development section. It is a thread dedicated to stock firmwares, they maybe a little modified but should still do the trick...
And im sure there is a different solution to boot loop.. Have you tried flashing any stock firmware? Or just a kernal?
Perhaps if you do a little more searching or tell us your problem here we can be of further assistance and recommend other methods.
I read yesterday in another thread in this forum so i will not take the credit
find your link for Multiupload
Go to google and enter in the search cache:multiupload_url
You may beable to get a mirror site.

[Q] Could someone please post a mirror for KK9?

Hi,
I lost root access when upgrading to ICS and I'm struggling to download N7000XXKK9_N7000OXAKK9_DBT from hotfile and I can't find any mirrors that are working.
Could someone please upload it somewhere else or post a link from somewhere else? It doesn't have to be this exact version, just any that is directly rootable.
Thanx!
Look in the development section, there is a thread with the whole list of GNote Odin flashables.

Thanx. I've been looking, not sure if I'm just being an idiot, but I can't find any that are stock and not on hotfile...
So if there aren't any what is my next best move. My end goal is stock ICS + root, are there any custom ROMs that are good to flash ICS from?

[Q] Anyone have a link for the GB/ICS stock keyboard for the LG P990?

The link you posted was to the O2X index, it might be rather confusing to some people. This thread should actually be in one of these two:
Q&A
http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1251
Themes and Apps
http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1003
Moved to Q&A please post in the proper sections.
