my projector does not have hdmi. Or is their a way to mirror my note to my computer. Than i could use my computer directly into yhe projector
Does your projector have DVI?

If your projector has DVI, you can use an HDMI-DVI adapter. Otherwise, if your projector uses VGA/D-SUB, you can use the following:

So. I guess if I use a ( I have the hdmi cable)hdmi media player than rgb to the projector that too should work?
thanks

Well, if you're going with the converter on eBay, you'll need that, an MHL adapter, an HDMI cable, a VGA/D-SUB cable, and your projector... assuming your projector has a VGA/D-SUB input.

Its is possible to our phone to connect to VGA monitor or projector?
Using any adaptor or port?
Or is there any app needed?
Note no computer needed to display our phone to monitor.

So can we get it done using pc??

use remote control with wifi
Connection to vga monitor would be probably if phone has mhl with mhl<->hdmi and hdmi<->vga adapters, but this solution may not work.
Samsung Galaxy S Advance doesn`t have mhl, and there is no way to directly give video output on vga/dvi/hdmi screen.
This is my problem.

Do you have the HDMI control protocol turned on in the TV menus? If so, I suggest turning it off and seeing how the Chromecast acts then.
I have no option for that in the settings menu.

Its an old TV
The TV is old but I bought it for this TV specifically. I know the chromecast works. I tried it on other TVs. Does any one have any other suggestions??
seems like the TVs fault
Can you lock hdmi to 720p or 1080p.

That is what I was looking for. No option to set a resolution. It automatically sets the resolution.
Have you tried an other HDMI device?
DVD player.

This Hdmi port is normally used with my PS3. I also tried the other Hdmi port. No luck.
What are you using for power? If USB on tv try the wall wart.

Check to see if your TV has an firmware update. Had something similar happen with my Sharp LCD TV and a new computer. The PS3 worked fine the whole time.
I am not using USB. I am using the outlet on the wall.

I spoke emailed the manufacturer (Sceptre) no firmware update. I also asked them if there is a service menu where I can factory reset the TV. They said no. I googled the service menu and it comes up for other models for the same manufacturer but none for mine.

So I am trying to repurpose a decent sized old monitor. It only had a dvi input, so I ordered a dvi to hdmi on Amazon. Plugged it in today, seems to work flawlessly. Here's where my brain farted. Audio. The monitor has no speakers. I was hoping to be able to play the audio through my phone. Didn't work. There is no audio jack on the monitor. There are 3 additional usb ports on the monitor, but I am doubting that it would pick up the audio that way if I directly plugged in usb speakers. Any ideas for a workaround?

Thanks! Will this work even though it's not an actual hdmi port? It's just dvi that was converted. I was under the impression that dvi only supports video.

I have exactly the same setup, works perfectly.
The only thing, you might need a 3.5mm Stereo Female to RCA Male Y-Cable to connect the speakers or headphones to your HDMI extractor's RCA inputs if you want this project to be budget-friendly. Most inexpensive computer speakers have only 3.5mm connector.
