I want to flash Android 2.2 Froyo (I9000XXJPC) to my Phone..
I'll use ODIN and at the [How- To]* from this Forum and there is only 1 Download File. Is this CSC File the correct File for a Phone from Austria (Europe)??
Thank you for Answers

CHECK, you will get your 'p1000ddjm2', flash with 'Odin', try rooting and change to Indian CSC (search..!) and Kies should update automatically...
Samsung galaxy tab 7" in India gets Gingerbread.
after installing DDJM2 kies goes into connecting loop
new firmware DDJPA 2.3.3 has to be manually flashed

Does your phone get recognized by Kies you should be able to do it
Only if you have flashed another rom do you have to do it manually
First know how to use odin.

yeah have used odin before. my problem was exactly the same as yours. after using overcome for a while, used odin to get back to DDJM2. but after that kies wont recognise my tab anymore and enters connecting loop.
the flash files were exactly what i needed. thanks a lot

there's another thing I need to know before i flash. it looks like the modem.bin and CSC files are contained in a single file in the DDJPA flash file you posted above. does this mean i do not need to specify the 'CSC' and 'phone' files in ODIN? I mean, specifying only the 'PDA' file on ODIN will be sufficient, right?

i am from mumbai too .
if you have rooted your device you have probably made your warranty void.
if you know how to use Odin i would recommend you to flash 2.3.3 DDJPA manually

Ya..But yesterday I finally got the notification and got my Tab updated to Gingerbread.. Had to root it again for making some apps like ROM Manager, Root Explorer work..(used ODIN 1.7 and help from Google }
Observations : NFS Shift does not work..the screen goes off after EA logo..
The RAM utilized is always more than 300MB even in Flight mode,..(using ADW launcher) Even if try to kill running apps, the max i get is 290 MB utilized RAM..
E-book and Daily Briefing - Missing !!
I updated the firmware with odin 1.7.
But later i found "E-book" and "Daily Briefing" go missing !!
Additionally i see "Music Hub" added in the menu.
Can anyone confirm if the missing apps are absent in firmware or just in my tab as i flashed it over "DXJPI" and didn't flash/reset the device to retain the data.

It was not that easy for me. The device was originally from Arab region on which i had managed to load Indian ROM.
GB loaded and Odin gave pass, but again went back to download mode. On a hunch i tried using the old CSC and Modem file and voila it restarted. But then went and got stuck with invalid certificate. Cleared up the cache and hurrah! restarted to Indian GB
Many thanks for the ROM file.
Hi guys, just purchased a new SGS from the store, it is still on Froyo though, I wish to upgrade it to GB with Odin, and I've finished downloaded XXJVT firmware from
http://www.sammobile.com/showthread.php?t=17
after I extract them, I got these:
CODE_I9000XXJVT_CL617736_REV03_user_low_ship.tar.md5
GT-I9000-CSC-MULTI-OXAJVT.tar.md5
MODEM_I9000XXJVT_REV_00_CL1064602.tar.md5
GT-I9000-CSC-HOME-MULTI-OXAJVT.tar.md5
s1_odin_20100512.pit
I know that PIT file is for PIT slot, user_low_ship is for PDA, Modem is for Phone slot, but as you can see there, there are 2 CSC files, CSC Multi and CSC Home-Multi, which one should I choose? and is there any extra steps before I flash them with Odin? any help is appreciated!
In upgrading firmware from Froyo to GB you need to upgrade bootloader as well. But before that, check whether your phone can enter "download mode" or not.
If can, then find gingerbread bootloader. You can search it here in XDA, or you can search [Ramad] stock ROM. He always provide the package that include bootloader. I'm not sure about the above firmware.
I read it somewhere that the bootloader is already included in GB, isnt it?

Keep in mind, said ROM is not rootable directly. So if you want to root it. First root your currant ROM, get mobile odin n flash with it.
otherwise
- Open Odin
- Dont select re partition
- select *Code file in PDA
- Modem in Modem
- Multi CSC in CSC
flash..
Whats new in This ROM??
it's here

Hi
First of all, I come from the Archos world so Samsung is a bit strange for me.
I live in Morocco and I run an old firmware. It is rooted with zergrush and has got CWM and mobile odin. My GN is now on KK2/KK5/KK2 and it aqked me to do an update : LA1/LA4/LA1. I tried through FOTA but it failed in recovery (well at boot). My first questions are about this firmware : should I do it by kies or will it be the same? Does the update deletes root? (then could anyone tell me where to get the firmware to flash in ODIN) Does the update wipes data partition or resets Android (as in deletes settings accounts apps)?
Then I would like to get the ICS update as soon as it gets out. Does it require the update above? I tried to get info about it on Sammobile.com but I can't manage to find my product code in any of the firmwares (MAT - Rare?) but I see that there is another update for Morocco (product code FWD). Then same questipns as above : can I flash it through Odin directly?
Sorry for my bas English and for the noob questions as I'm not used to the large number of versions firmwares.

The reason the update fails is probably because you're rooted and have CWM installed.
When you update through Odin you will lose root. The easiest way to update to an official rom is by flashing a pre-rooted firmware with Odin from the following thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1535025
You can pick any rom you'd like. You can find the LA4 update there but you can also flash LC1 which is a newer version.
After you have succesfully flashed with Odin you have a rooted firmware but no CWM yet. To get CWM you need to download a separate package from the following thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=18978158&postcount=1
Scroll down a bit to section "2. I Want ROOT + CWM" and download the appropriate package. If you chose to flash LA4 then get the package for LA4, if you flashed LC1 then get the package for LC1 etc.
Extract the package you downloaded and execute "already-rooted.bat" and CWM will be flashed.
After that you have an updated and rooted firmware with CWM recovery.
Thanks for your reply. So basically I just need to get back to a stock rooted and then reinstall CWM?
But then I will still have the issue when updating to ICS right?
Ps : I see the LC1 version but it says France. Will I be able to flash it? (then maybe also the ICS after because the France and Moroccan have the same version LPY or sonething)
