In webOs, apply the tweaks to make it faster (logging, preware, etc.). The instructions are in the forum.
I find webos fast with no lagging. I have Uberkernel Oc'd to 1.7 max, 384 min.
In android, I use cm9 alpha 2, and/or Cherry Kang. They both work well.
Please remember in order to upgrade your WebOs to the latest you have to remove any kernel tweaks first then re-apply after you upgrade.
What if I have CM7 alpha 3.5 already on my touchpad? Can I install the WebOS update or will it remove CM7?

You may have to run ACMEInstaller again after updating WebOS. CM will still be there, its just moboot is not working so you will have to reinstall it using ACMEInstaller.
Update WebOS then re-run ACMEInstaller

The buildbot has started building the Cm6 nightlies again. Which is awesome for those of us that like to test the latest CM fixes/features.
Problem is the kernel or boot is whacky.
So make a
nandroid of your RC3 and then
wipe/flash nightly
advanced nandroid restore and restore the BOOT: from your RC3.
Cyanogenmod specific forums have a nightly discussion going as well.

thanks for the boot tip man, I couldn't get it loaded.
Anything noticably different?
Good call dood, thanks for the tip. I'm wondering if PSX4Droid is working on the latest Nightlies as it was working on old Nightlies but not on RC3. Not sure what this is related to. But I'll try it and report back, if anyone else is wondering.
Thanks!

updated power control widget is perfect. Also noticed when I hold down power and choose reboot there are options to go right into recovery from there. Pretty sweet, don't recall that in RC3 ?? (or did I miss it?)
Bluetooth audio still doesn't stream with my car radio though (all other 2.1 and 2.2 roms do so fine). Although I wonder if we need to wait for one that actually boots with it's own boot.img?? Isn't the kernel in there?
Any updates regarding emmc?

Hello people i wanted to overclock my touchpad but i updated to ver. 3.0.4 it will now tell me that the method is obsolete anyone know how to get pass this, another method maby? Help would be greatly appreciated.
Preware?
Sent from my PG86100 using XDA App
Yes I am talking about preware, it wont let me downlad or install some stuff because its testing versions/unsafe i am well aware of the risk but i still want to continue
I'm on version 3.0.4 and used the "stable" kernel from Preware... And govnah to overclock it..
Id say watch a video tutorial on YouTube to make sure you have Preware installed correctly/trouble shoot what is causing your error

ok question did you use the tutorial on xda or did you use a youtube video because i am useing the xda tutorial i have preware installed can you give me the info of the name and adress of this safe kernal

Testing.preware.org is the official instructions for running testing preware feeds. Pretty important to visit there and understand why they made it harder to use alpha/beta feeds.
Sent from my PG86100 using Tapatalk
I would have to agree with contradude. Alpha and beta releases of software on the touchpad do have serious risks involved. When using android and having a problem, one can always just reflash the install when things go south. If you screw up on the webos side, you better have a good working knowledge of the linux command line as there be large dragons ahead. I currently run uberkernel and govnah to get stable performance at 1.5 gHz. The TP is fast and smooth at those settings and I see no upside to pushing the envelope as everything runs as it should now.

I just saw the updated uberkernel and installed it. We now have the 1.7 GHz option as well as 1.5. This was released since my last post. The feeds I was refering to were the experimental feeds for pushing beyond the uberkernel limits.

The latest uberkernel is also a BETA feed.
So you need to look at Webos Internals Testing Feeds , for the new procedure. Read this page carefully.
As Moshe so nicely put it, this is the entrance to the Dragons lair.

You might have to doctor.
You can try re-installing moboot. Maybe that'll fix it.
Sounds like you might have removed the webos uimage when cleaning out moboot. If so, a trip to webos doctor will be required.

What version of Webos are you running?
It is probably because you have Android installed. Uninstall Android after making a backup and you should be good to go .
Hope this helps .
Hate sounding dumb, but uninstalling android? How n I won't lose the moboot n android ?
I believe T's 3.0._ the one before 3.0.5
Thanks a lot...

Yes you you will lose everything but that is the point in order for ota (over the air ) update. Copy all of your personal files to your computer and the nandroid backup you are going to make . Then after you have removed Android and updated Webos reinstall Android like you did the first time with ACMEInstaller2. Don't worry I have copies of all the files you will need ie moboot , gapps, and cmw with links in another post .
If you need to pm me .
Hope this helps to put your mind at rest.
Is there a benefit in updating WebOS? I keep thinking I will use WebOS to do a video call, or to show off Glimpse, but honestly I haven't had much of a need for Skype and I am increasingly happy with CM9. If and when it goes to Jelly Bean I seriously doubt I will ever boot back over to WebOS.

I use it for Skype and to update the latest preware apps but for the rest of the time (95%) I use Android.
it only takes 5 minutes to uninstall and 15 to reinstall. Do it when your bored.
I had no problems updating to 3.0.5. I did lose moboot, but that was an easy reinstall with Acmeinstaller. All my android files were untouched.
I would use webos more if it had more apps available. The battery life is much better than android, and the camera works. I use it for Skype. The preware tweaks really make a difference also.
Having a dual boot tablet is why I like the touchpad so much.

If you have any Kernel tweaks installed, they need to be removed. This fixed the install issue for me.

I just downloaded and flashed newest Cyanogen Experience (2012 09 23) for Galaxy Mini, but I can't get ext4 to work. I tried formating it with both Partition Wizard and from clockwork (clockword mounts it fine) but the system doesn't see any ext4/3 partition at all.
Not sure if I'm doing something wrong or is it a bug? I like a lot the rom for now, with new system settings, performance and all.
I'll be really grateful for any tips, thank you in advance.
you cannot see any partition you will need to run the script
did you did that?

Doesn't CM9 have that script built in & launched on boot?
I don't know but you can try running the script manually
there's no harm
Wait, it is CM9 or cyanmobile experience?

Hah, sry, experience. I keep saying CM9 for some reason ....
And I'm kinda lost how to install the script manually. I did it once long time ago, since then I used only S2E which installed automatically ^^
Any tips?
