Android Version 2.3.6
Kernel 2.6.35.7-N7000XXLB1-CL933381 [email protected] #2
Gingerbread CCLB1
Hi all you experts,
my problem is Genie widget (Google news and weather) doesn't run any more on my Galaxy Note GT N7000.
I think it's part of the system. It can't be really de-installed, nor re-installed. If I manually install GenieWidget.1.3.3.apk (replace current version): the android system crashes and restarts about every 2 minutes.
Only shut down the Note and wait for some time helps no more continuously crashes.
Unfortunately I updated firmware to LB1, there is no rooting possible at the moment so there is no chance to de-install it manually?
(By the way: firmware update with Kies caused crash - frozen Note . Did it with Odin)
How to get news and weather properly running or get rid of it?
What is the reason of android system looped crash and restart? Too many apps?
Thank you for help.

Hi.
Do you have problem with Android Market?
I can't start this, I see "loading" and Androit Market is shut down without FC.
Google gives new changes?
I flashed phone to JVQ deodexed with root, factory reset and this doesn't help me.
Is there any way to trigger the update to the latest Android Market APK ?
It updated itself automatically a few days ago while I was running on KG3, but I flashed JVR yesterday and since then, it doesn't seem to want to update...
Nope. But you can download the newest market apk yourself. Just google for it.
knowledge is Power. Guard it well.
Manually update it! Just search for the latest market Apk on Google and after downloading it just install it! Btw I had the link saved somewhere if I find it ill provide you with it!

Dont update the latest android market is buggy & too slow last 2 days it shows all the apps which have update but cant download any, gives error connection times out..............try again, my data connection has no speed problems.
exactly..for first few days the new app was fast but soon like said above it became a total waste.now uninstalled updates and using old 2.3.6 market version.
Me too reverting back to 2.3.6 for now.
How do I revert back to 2.3.6?
When trying to install 2.3.6.apk it says "there is a problem parsing the package"
Edit
I uninstalled update then restarted the phone & it finally reverted back to older 2.3.6 and it works fine now.
Hello. Some time ago I installed german ics on my gt_n7000.
The first problem I got was it didn't include snote for some reason.
I got the apk here somewhere. It had been alright.
Last week I got notice of the update available through Kies an I updated.
This problems arose.
SMemo is installed, you but I cannot start it, just a black screen for a minute. SMemo lite appears as installed but is inaccessible anywhere.
Snote seems to be Ok.
Also, I smemo is on the market by it says it is not compatible with my phone.
Any idea what is going on? Please?
Thank you.

I got the problem with SMemo showing the black screen when I noticed there were two versions of SMemo installed in Titanium Backup and I uninstalled one of them. The way I fixed it was to reinstall the ROM and then leaving the two versions of SMemo alone. I also can't install SMemo via Google Play and I don't know why.
Hello there. I'm using my Galaxy Note for almost a year now and I have never had any major problems before. But recently it got extremely laggy. The lags are: system is running normally, but as soon as I get any app running "including original apps such as music player" the system starts to slow down. Some apps kick me out when I try to run them, but after a few tries they work properly without any lags.Have to mention - all apps are running fine, that's the system that extremely slows down after using them, even when I close apps in task manager. *Well, task manager is lagging itself* Some apps such as Facebook widget on my main screen stopped showing latest messages and until I reboot the whole system or clear memory in task manager it won't allow me to enter facebook at all. Whenever I sort my apps in the app screens - after a reboot the system puts them in a random order again. I think that's the only things I found so far. It all started a few days ago after I updated my apps. I deleted all the latest of them I have installed, but it didn't change anything. My phone memory is half empty, I deleted half of my text messages, so I don't think the problem is in a lack of memory. Can You help me out, guys?
I have all the latest updates installed and my a. version is 4.0.4
Sorry for my bad english
probably u need a factory reset.
but don't think it's safe on the stock kernel.
either root install a safe kernel and do a wipe and try again or
download the stock rom and flash it thru Odin.

Verizon Samsung Galaxy Tab sch i800 CDMA 2.3.5 with CWM-5.0.2.7 Recovery
I flashed CWM-5.0.2.7 Recovery. Installed CM-10-20131006 for p1c. Installed gapps-jb-20121011-signed.
Every thing seemed to work ok the first few weeks but now Apps like email , camera, play store , wifi others etc. shuts off. Process android. process.acore has stopped.
Process com google. process.gapps has stopped. Process android.process media has stopped.
Some game apps give an error of 492 when you can get to the play store. The clearing data and cache in tab creates more problems. Rom is slow and eats up the battery. I do have an app killer that says it closes apps and releases ram.
FIX is to use CM9 stable and the gapps for the CM9 you use
download.cyanogenmod.org/?type=stable&device=p1c
if you're still active and have either and OTA for 2.3.5 that you can post or a method for rooting the i800 on 2.2 it would be much appreciated if you shared.
