[Q] what's last firmware?

Hello, I'm kinda new to the Galaxy Tab. Just a quick question: what's last firmware release for the Tab? I've actually installed JM6 from samfirmware.

There are lots of firmware ROMs on this site.
I am currently using the Overcome kernel and v1.4.0 ROM which was only released in the last couple of days. You can check itout here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=932082

for official firmware http://www.samfirmware.com/WEBPROTECT-p1000.htm have a look, but carefully because has a protected bootloader !

that is the best choice. I think is the best Rom so far !

hey guys i have unlocked tab and its running on JJ3 after i flast it from a different OS that changed my whole system and even deleted samsung movies and samsung games which i can not get back by the way.
Im trying to download this overcome but there is a problem in the attachment there is 1 PIT file and there are 3 overcome files!!!
so please any advise on what do i need apart from the overcome the one that will delete everything because im upgrading?
Any help is appreciated

Sorry, but I can hardly get what you mean. There is a good howto about installing Overcome linked in the 1st post of the thread. I just used that one and everything worked as a charm.

Flashing to an unoffical firmware from an official one will wipe ALL your data. Back up what you need. You're not losing anything useful.
As suggested by maddler, read the HOWTO that is linked from in the 1st post of the Overcome thread and it'll tell you what you need. It helps to read the instructions rather than just looking for download links.

[Q] JVQ to JVR

Sorry about the noob question but how to switch from JVH to JVR ? Using Darky Rom v10

Your title mentions JVQ but your post states JVH. Either way it should be a straightforward flash of JVR.

just find a JVR rom and read the instruction on how u should flash it.

I'm assuming your getting mixed up (I've just referring to your post on Darky forum where you asked how to find out if you are on 10.1 or 10.2)
I would SERIOUSLY SLOW DOWN ! as was suggested do much more reading & then READ READ READ some more !
Honestly dude, if you don't know which Rom your on OR how to find the info on your phone which will tell you then do some research as knowledge is power.
I'm not trying to give you a hard time but hoping to save you from Bricking your phone. I'm certainly no expert but I spent WEEKS reading (5/6) & watching vids - see youtube there are dozens of tutorials & as you've probably seen on Darky forum Totally Dubbed makes expert ones.
Of course its not all reading/theory & to put that knowledge into use at some point you will be ready to play around but less likely to get yourself into a BIG HOLE.
GOOD LUCK DUDE.

Also never forget about YouTube, there are many interesting tutorials there!

My friend recently bought a galaxy s i9000 and it i on eclair . He wants to install MIUI ROM on this phone .
For that we need to be on 2.3.x firmware. . Can someone post the link of upgrading from eclair to gingerbread. Pls ?

Follow the instructions. Then go to MIUI thread and follow instructions there.
Or you can register to sammobile.com and download stock ROMs there. There are also flashing guides.

[Q] Help needed for stock firmware.....

Hi was wondering if anyone could possibly help me find a link to download the stock firmware for the SG2
my phones firmware info is ZSKFA
I've scoured the forums for a working link to find the stock firmware so I can turn my rooted phone back to stock via odin...but no luck so far finding any sort of link thats working (ie. multiupload seems to be down and various other links)
any type of light on the situation would be gladly appreciated thanks again!

[HELP] [i9000T] Repack stock ROM from samfirmware

Sorry bothering you with this, but I a total noob with programing and anything related :silly: I don't know linux... But if there is a way doing this by Windows, just give me some directions and I'll do it...
I always used firmwares packed from people here, so I thought that you forum users that have practice with packing md5 files can help me with this ROM from samfirmware.
I don't want to take your time, but if you want to help me, please, can you repack this samfirware files to md5 for Odin?
