Attatched camera apk so try
adb push HTCCamera.apk /system/app/
If that does not work then do this
Go to recovery
Wipe, Wipe delvik cache etc
Do fresh install of CMs ROM or a Stock ROM
check camera after
EDIT: And next time you should post in either Q & A or General!!
This does not belong in development

Thanx bro just tried the both .........no use i think its a hardware problem .Is it possible to test the hardware ?
Don't think it's hardware as I'm on the same ROM as you and had the exact same issue !!
Luckily I got it resolved - though to be honest I'm not sure what exactly I did to fix it.
I got frustrated and did a combination of wipes, cleaning the cache, fix apk uid mismatches, clear storage and eventually it just started working

no luck still havin the black screen :-( :-( :-(
You should probably try reformatting the sdcard, along with wiping data and ext(if you have it). That would pretty much rule out software altogether.
Try reflashing the rom after that and it should work.
If it's any help - just before i got my camera back my Nexus was stuck on boot screen with the nexus logo with the open padlock.
I then had to go into Boot Loader to update the new ROM.
I guess if you can get it to hang on the Nexus initial bootup screen then it may work...
i think no can really help me on this issue !!!
So, I kinda messed up my Note.
I know i should be asking this in the Dev page but seeing as i am new member here i am not "allowed" at the moment.
If there is anyone out there that can help me out, it will be greatly appreciated, and now the ordeal:
I have a (to my knowledge) KKA 2.3.6 Stock rom. I was feeling a lil over zealous and thinking of rooting it. I did the zerg method got it rooted. Then i saw the "ICS_transition-KKA-stock" file in the development page.
Now feeling like the lord of the Note, i thought to myself how hard can this be, I rebooted in recovery and installed from zip. Next thing i know i restarted my phone and all is well UNTIL NOW...........the phone booted up first but every app was going force close, i somehow got my phone to go into recovery thinking i can uninstall the "ICS_transition-KKA-stock" from it but there is no option so i rebooted again and now its stuck on BOOT animation. SIGH
SO if there is anyone out there that help me out, i will greatly appreciate it. I backed up all my stuff before i felt like Christopher Columbus so if need be ill be ok to deleting everything.
I tried odin already and no luck......
Thank you and happy Holidays!!!
Try a factory reset/wipe data from recovery
I just did, i tried wipe cache and partition and even the advance section wipe as well. As soon as i reboot it gets stuck on the samsung logo animation.....
Did you also try the 'wipe data/factory reset' option?
Yes sir, tried the 2 wipes and the one in advanced option as well. After reboot the animation is on a loop, the sound only comes once but the vid is looping. I dont know if its recoverable now.....
Thanks for the suggestion though!!!
If you can boot into download mode you can always fix things. I messed up a couple of times and just flashed back to a Samsung full stock firmware using Odin.
Try this:

Thanks bud, I will try it asap and let you know!!!
I didn't think anyone would be up this late
4am est my time!
Success Finally, Thanks bud a lot!!!!
Happy Holidays!!!
A newbie question, How do i thank your post!!!???
Glad you got it fixed mate!
Thanks button is in the right bottom corner of each post. Only visible in the browser, not in the App.
I just installed CM9 via the Novacom2 method. The tablet seems to reboot itself after a few minutes of being booted up for no apparent reason. I can start up the device, and not even touch one thing, and after a bit it will self reboot.
Anyone experiencing this? Should I do a reinstall? Novacom2 method, or a complete factory reset with CWM?
CM9 runs extremely smooth otherwise, but I can't have it up for more than 5 minutes with a self reboot. It's bizarre.
Thanks in advance people...
I meant ACMEInstaller2 where I wrote Novacom2 ....
The only time I got random reboot is if I try to overclock. I went to replace CWM with TWRP today, and checked in CPUspy something quick. I had 36 hours of up time (remember this only dropped 4 days ago). Initially I tried to OC, even only going one step up I got freezes, and reboots. But leaving it at stock frequencies I have zero stability issues.
I would say to start fresh. With a fresh downloaded copy. Go into CWM and wipe data / factory reset, wipe cache, advanced > wipe dalvik, mounts > format system, data, cache, then reinstall, and install the charge fix. Then don't restore anything, and see if that fixes it.
Sent from my Galaxy S II (i777)
that may be the route I go. After about 15 reboots it is currently holding steady I have not made any interventions.
As a side issue, I get email notifications but the email app crashes upon opening. Gmail works fine though....

Try fixing permissions and wiping up cache from CWM, that fixes the reboots after power-on for me.
It used to do it if I left the screen to go off, but is fine now
I too am having reboot issues, but it only happens when I'm doing something. So far trying to open the Photoshop PS Touch app will cause a reboot, clicking settings in boat browser, etc. It's strange as hell.
I as well get the stock android mail client crashing when opened but its notifacations and gmail all work. I just installed maildroid and disabled stock email and seems to work OK

I have the same issue, but normally when the screen is on, it always reboots when I try to connect to usb storage, I have a galaxy s2 running on stable(nightly had too many bugs). anyone has the same problem?
I usually get reboots when I let the screen turn off due to inactivity. I tried installing TWRP and doing a clean install from there but it rebooted at the setup screen for CM9. I've had reboot issues since I first installed CM9, but its improved a little bit. I did try uninstalling android completely then reinstalling, but still got reboots. Does anyone have any other suggestions?
I think the best thing to do is use ACMEUninstaller to complete remove Android from your TP, then reinstall from scratch. I had reboot issues after upgrading from CM7a2 until I did a complete wipe.

Sorry I keep posting things to myself and solving it on my own after hours -__-.. I already struggled hours beforehand and was frustrated..
Anyways, I went to CMW recovery mod, deleted the back up that I backed earlier. And then format/reset to factory mod / wipe partition / cache / Dalv. Then I went to boot my device but after 10 minutes, it'd still be loading cyanogen.... so I reinstalled the CyanogenMod9. Wiped all the things I mentioned above again and when it loaded to OS, it worked..
I have no idea what was causing it.. probably the back up file interfering somehow? Because that's the only thing I got rid of and everything went back to normal.

Hey guys, I successfully installed CyanogenMod 9 on my Gingerbread 2.3.5.
Everything is great and slick. I used to use CyanogenMod 7.
Funny thing is, I enabled the lock screen (pattern) and it seems to be not working? I don't know if I'm missing something but after leaving my phone for good 20 minutes, I came back to turn on (from sleep) and it wasn't asking for lock screen pattern. I tried slide too, same.
Also, from my previous versions, whenever I was in setting or any app, if I were to press on Home Button it would bring my back to main screen. My Home button no longer does this. I have no idea what it does now, I press it and the phone vibrates (indicates that its been pressed) but no effect. I have to literately press Back like 5 times just to return to Main menu.
Is there something I'm suppose to enable or something?
Let me know, thank you
-Dan

lol, hate when that happens
Hey danroh,
I had same issue with home button and lockscreen and this steps fixed problem:
1) I accidentally downloaded Jelly Bean gapps instead of ICS version
2) Reinstalled CM9
3) Downloaded experimental build and flashed that over stable one
4) Flashed with proper ICS gapps
5) Factory reset/Data wipe, Clear Dalvik cache
6) Reboot
-----
Hit thanks if that worked for you

Weirdly, my brother's Galaxy S had the same thing. Home button just would not work after installing CM9. Tried a few things, failed.
Then, I found this thread and I remembered that I'd backed up his old CM7 a while before. Deleted that backup in CWM Recovery, factory wiped/cache wipe, reinstalled CM9 and Gapps for 9 and boom, everything was fine.
EDIT:
Another thing to note is that when the home button wouldn't work, there was no Lockscreen either, just like you had. On first boot it didn't prompt me for a google account either, which it did do after I deleted the backup.

hey man!!..thnx for your guide...i w as actually in great trouble coz of this error..nd now its fixed!!...thnx a lot!!...
Hello all
First of all, I'd like to say that I've spent a lot of time searching through XDA and other websites on the internet, and so far I didn't find a solution to my problem, and that's why I'm creating this new thread.
I have a Galaxy Ace S5830B and just flashed Mardon's version of CM10.1.6 ROM in it, following every single step on his guide, using CWM 5.0.2.6.
I made sure that before flashing the new ROM I wiped the whole thing, clearing cache, dalvik cache, formatting /system and doing the factory reset.
I did not manually flash any kernel.
Everything runs smoothly and ok, just like all compliments the ROM gets on his topic, except for when I have to shut the phone down.
Once it is shut down and I'm powering it back on it gets into a boot loop that won't go past the Samsung logo. It means that the Samsung logo goes on, fades off and then it loops back to it, and the Cyanogenmod blue circle loading animation never comes.
It only works when I get back into CWM and hit "reboot system now" . Then it reboots normally.
I'd just like it to act normally, booting normally straight from a powered off state without having to go through CWM everytime I need to switch the phone on. That's because it's my father's phone, and having him getting into CWM every now and then after a battery run off is too risky, you know what I mean.
Any help will be very very much appreciated.
Thank you
Riggs

Try doing a factory reset, it might solve it. Do post the result. Hope I Helped
Already did it, also wiping cache and dalvik cache. No solution.
But thank you anyways =)

When you are using CM10.1 by Mardon, NEVER WIPE DATA/FACTORY RESET!! ...You should fix your problem flashing again the rom
The ROMs are already preconfigured and when you wipe data/factory reset, all those settings will be lost and the device won't be able to boot successfully again
Oh, nice to know that! I'll try it soon, then I'll post the results.

Ok, so just follow the correct steps to re-flash CM10.1
