Dalvik cache always full - LG Revolution

I clear it out, but it always has over 200 files in it. How do I keep it empty?

You don't when you restart it it resets those files

So it is suppose to have all those all those files? It is so full it is keeping me from downloading apps or updating.

I doubt the dalvik cache is what's causing the problem. What error are you getting when downloading apps?

Error downloading "app name" Insufficient storage available. If I delete out a few things in the Dalvik cache it will download them.

maybe there is an issue with your partitions or permissions

[Q] kernel flashing

When trying to flash a custom kernel in CWM is there any extra steps that need to take place like when u flash a rom. As in factory wipe or clearing the dalvik cache. I've searched through this forum and the O3D one and haven't found anything. And I'm running doomed froyo if that helps.

I always wipe the dalvik just out of habit, no need to wipe anything else.

I fixed this on a friends tablet.
You must use the Clear Data option in manage applications to a phone related thing. Too bad I can't remember the name.
Could you write the error message so I can help you?

You need to be rooted to get access to check .odex files. So, that method won't work. I am rooted & solved this issue as Adhityairvan mentioned..
And there are two system storage. One for system apps(around 840MB+new one-preload around 500MB).There is also 2GB for installed apps.
BTW,are you still on GB? Because you have Video maker app and I don't have it since GB or ICS.Hard reset maybe if you are on JB?

Download any cache cleaner app and clean it.... Btw, you could lose some savegame (for example, angry birds savestate)

Try Clean Master its free in the Play Store...
Clean Master
It can clean the Cache but also look for Residual Files that you no longer need...

Hi,
I just installed the latest update, 2.16b and now wifi doesn't work anymore.
I tried to clear cache, dalvik cache, reboot 2 times, nothing, it's broken.
Any help with it would be great!
Thanks!

go into mobile terminal and type "su"
then after you grant permission with superuser. type "wifical.sh"
then go turn on wifi and it should work.
I tried and it cannot run the command. Here is a screen shot with the error.
Thanks!

I tried one more time and it worked. I will post if there are more issues. Right now wifi is confirmed working.
