[Q] [APP] [LAUNCHER] Sony Xperia S Launcher - HTC Incredible S

Hello
Ive stumbled across the apk files of some Xperia S rom, and I tried to install them.
I get 'application not installed'
Can anyone get them working on their devices? I may be doing it wrong.
Apparently it is working on some other non-SE phones.

All I am doing is posting the information here, I am no way involved with the leak/dump or whatever it is, and if you can't sleep because of my actions I will delete this. Thanks in advance people!!

Most probably there are missing additional files like *.odex or some other libraries.

[Q] installing stock apps

Hi
maybe a stupid question, but there were a couple of nice apps on the stock rom.
having just put CM on my Xperia T I wondered if there is a reliable way to get the stock apps onto it?
I have the de-odexed rom zip that was posted on here aq while back, but havent had any luck getting anything on there, either by using apk installer or copying the files to system/app and rebooting.
any help much appreciated
thanks

There are no stupid questions, just users not reaearching.
However, I dont know how to answer this unless you say which apps..
If you are talking sony stock apps, then some install and can be used but you cant use widgets (e.g timescape) other than that more information will help

hi greg
thanks for the reply
primarily the walkman app as I am not getting on with apollo at all
was a miui user for a long time on my desire, and the music app on that I liked. but no miui for the T that is as up to date at FXP 149 (there was a thread but it seemed to go stale a while back)
also the weather widget, would be nice too - but guess that is a no no.
as no widgets does that mean even if I can get the walkman app on there, the widget wont work?
thanks
I suggest you just try to copy the walkman .apk in /system/app and set the correct permissions, then reboot. It certainly won't mess up your phone if it doesn't work.

If you look in the theme and app section there is a thread for walkman and if you follow the links ou will find a flashable zip to flash if you are not on stock to flahs to get it working.....but i wil lsay apollo is the best music app i ahve used apart from the sony walkman app..

[Request] Theme related apks. of Xperia T under Jelly Bean

Hello All,
I believe Jelly Bean is already available for for Xperia T and several users here got the update as well. I need a little favor. If any one can help me with that, then it would be great.
I need the apk files related to Theme [Default Theme] only for Xperia T. In ICS it was in the overlay folders if i can remember. I need the files of latest Jelly Bean release.
So if the JB files are accessible via root access or any other privileges, please do share here. I would like to work on those themes and will bring some new customized themes for you guys.
Just like i did with ICS. check my Signature for reference.
Thanks in advance. :good:

[Q] How to lock KitKat Launcher in memory?

Hi Guys,
Can somebody help me explain how to put the launcher locked in memory?
I did several build.prob edits from other threats but none of them seems to work.
Anyone?
(I'm talking about The original KitKat launcher. Not those one from the Google Play Store)

[Q] Are there any Z3 exclusive apps that work on the Z1 yet?

Hey folks!
The Sony Xperia Z3 has just been announced and there's already a system dump including applications and whatnot!
http://www.xperiablog.net/2014/09/05/xperia-z3-system-dump-leaks-let-the-raid-begin/
Now my question is, do any of the applications somehow work on the Z1, and if so which ones are actual updates to the apps the Z1 currently has? I'd love to get the new Home Launcher thing from Sony with the larger icons, but extracting and installing as .apk file from the system dump source won't let me install anything I've tried. Now I do have root so I might be able to flash the files, but I do not want to mess up my phone and I barely have enough storage to make a new backup.
So I'd love to know if anyone has already tried installing something.
Thanks in advance! ^__^
use this "http://forum.xda-developers.com/crossdevice-dev/sony/port-xperia-z3-home-7-0-0-14-t2868655" for home launcher, just install it, I am using now LB MIUI 4.8.29.

[Q] Change stock app icons with custom ones (Xperia Z3c)

Hello,
I have an Xperia Z3 Compact and am looking for a way to change stock system app icons (ideally without using another launcher). I am aware you can use an apk tool to decompile, replace icons and recompile an app, but that doesn't work with system apps like Settings, Camera and Phone. Those cannot be dumped by an apk tool. Do I need root for this? How do I proceed? Please help :crying:

Hi, currently there are bunch of applications on the marketplace (e.g. Desktop VisualizeR) able to create custom shortcuts (i.e. allowing custom icons usage) on home screens.
As far as I know, however, rooted or not, there is no possibility to change icons system-wide, so they will stay the same in app-drawers, app pickers, task managers, etc. EDIT: Oh well, not for free!
If you, like me, find that icons for Sony applications are a bit dated yet you do not want to abandon their super fast launcher, you can always wait for the upcoming Lollipop update, which hopefully will bring us a UI overhaul

If you are root You can use unicon to change icons with stock launcher.

Using unicon, this is the stock launcher
