Hi
If we are able to make wifi and lot of other stuff to work on ICS for our phone could we just use them in sense roms that we have ?
hmmmm, i guess, But sense ROM's are old now, if you want to fix rachts sense rom, then go ahead, it would be cool to see someone finally finishing that ROM, but on the other hand, now we have ICS, would we need sense ROM's? or would it be for just your personal use

This is just a request to any chefs, if its not too much work...
Could anyone make a ROM identical to AT&T Stock but with Sense 2.1 or Sense 2.5 in it?
That's the only thing that I want different. Everything else can stay the same. Just switch out Manila to Sense 2.1 or Sense 2.5.
Thanks a bunch. And if it does require too much work...just let me know.
Okay. As you can see by my post count I'm a newb to ALL of this, so please be patient.
I just recently, within the last week maybe, got a HTC Hero. I immediately updated to 2.1. (No custom rom or anything, my device is not even rooted.)
I honestly do not want a custom rom. To me they almost all look ugly and I have a feeling they're not as stable. Either way, I don't want one.
I do, however, want to overclock my phone. Is there a way to do this without getting a custom rom that removes/adds stuff?
Thank you.
To overclock, you have to root.
I think Jus10o has posted a flashable kernel that allows overclocking on any Sprint-based 2.1 ROM, including stock, but I am not sure. I imagine he'll chime in if he has.
Just out of curiosity, what is that you don't like about custom ROMs? Fresh ROM (not FreshToast) is basically the official ROM made more stable. A lot of people have a lot more problems with the official ROM than they do with custom ROMs, or so my experience has gone. Sprint and HTC fix problems once a year (it seems..) where as the devs here hop on problems with their ROMs instantly. Most get things fixed the same week they're noticed.

Okay. Thank you. I suppose my next step is to look at how to root my phone and finding that kernel..
As far as custom ROMs go, I don't see a need for one. The ONLY issue I have with my phone is the occasional lag, which I would hope to fix with an overclock. Not even sure that would help it, but I want to try it anyway.
Thanks for the help.
Did Capy's ROM for the XL get deleted or has he decided to pull out of development for this device. Tried searching and can't find the answer, although some posts seem to indicate some kind of frustration on Capy's part.
I have his ROM installed, but as there seems to be no thread any more for his ROM, it looks like I will have to look to another ROM to satisfy my flashing addiction!!! Any recommendations?
Mike
To be honest I don't know what has happened to Capy, all his threads have gone and he's gone off twitter too.
As for new roms my suggestions would be BinDroid or CoreDroid if you like heavily themed roms, or Danny from BinDroid has released some stock roms that have been tweaked. Alternatively there is WRE which is an ICS rom, now there is a couple of things with the ICS rom, not everyone can get data/3g when they have flashed it and everyone has problems with MMS and GPS doesn't seem to want to work with anything else than Google Maps and Navigation
maybe capy is preparing for ICS? who knows...
hope he will be back soon.. i really liked his ROM =)
I really like the look of the stock sense calendar. I find it better than the stock google calendar. I want to perhaps try shifting to non sense roms, such as CM when the nightlies become enough for a daily driver.
With that said, can I extract the calendar app and just reload it on the non-sense rom or will some tinkering have to be done with it ?

Appreciate the response. Thanks
Hi everyone,
Today i am gonna present to you a sense 5 like keyboard which i had been working on for a few days.
You guys can install on your sense based roms. Simply flash it in CWM/TWRP recovery.
NOTE: Only for sense based roms, dont install it on CM9/CM10 based roms.
Screenshots: See attachments
Download : http://d-h.st/8Fy
Important : If you guys get connection problem after installing this keyboard, either erase your cache or use the keyboard with some other app like whatsapp and then it will work normally.
Leave your feedback for further queries.
Thanks!
Really didn´t work on CM9/CM10? :/

Well ya I did say that it will not work in non sense roms.
It is made specifically for HTC sense 4.
it can be made working on non sense roms
just it should have com.htc.framework apk a bit on based on sense 4.
Probably all AOSP roms can work with.
I make the revolution snse 5 theme work on my rom m!U! .
Just wait a day more .em coming with a new stuff :cyclops:
