[Q] no data and "insufficient space"

Super boob. I rooted, installed clockwork mod. Made lots of changes and deleted lots of stock files (music widget hanging in my notification bar) I was working then I downloaded "atorrent" just to see if torrents were good for mobile. Now I have no data signal, will not download anything due to insufficient space. I did a factory reset and that was the wrong thing to do!! Got another phone coming tomorrow but I WILL figure a way to fix this! Help would be appreciated tho!!

Ok could you tell us what it does when you turn it on? Does it go into cwm? Does it go into download mode and any other info about whats rong with it now that you did a factory reset?

It boots normally and phone and txt msg work, also wiring works just fine. I am not sure if the atorrent download had anything to do with but its the only thing I did between total normal operation and what I have now.

Factory reset removed titanium and other root tools I had along with everything else. Still have superuser but not sure if still root as there is no way to know and cannot download anything directly. (Wifi, not wiring)
To clarify, It seems like I can download anything except market Apps. I have more more than enough room for files, it will let me dl asphalt 6 because I have to launch the game to do so. U Prolog know that's 300 MB. Plenty of space. Settings, about this phone, status, mobile network state = connecting.... been stuck there for 2 days. Called att and they said possible similar card error. It works just fine in the wife's phone. ( same also rooted)

have you tryed reflashing the kdz with lg flasher tool?

the phone lost root. i cant get it to root again. "permission denied" i am getting new thrill tomorrow so i will root and be a bit more carefull. use this one as a practice phone. i really want to make it work. i will tinker with it and if i can get it rooted again i will try the above.
i really appreciate the help in any case!

You dont need root to flash a kdz its just tricking the program into thinking its an update.

ok so i got it fixed be flashing a new rom (cyanogen nightly) works faaassssttttttt!!!! only problem is i cant get market to work. unable to open connection to server error. lookin for a fix to that now. everything else is superb!! this forum is freakin awesome!!

no i didnt. i have about 5 hours of phone miod exp and i screwed up 3 phones and have none left on my insurance. i really dont want to screw up what i have. this has been like a $200 thing. worth it in my opinion tho!! maybe you could give me 1st grade instructions as if i brick another one i will have to go back to flip phones, per the wife!!!

I had same pproblem with v20o in canada and had to flash back to stock with cwm.what's your provider? and country? Seems to be a prob with region and not hardware

I'm on Bite. Country Latvia. What rom should i install? And is it the same as custom rom through CWM?

Go to thread root v20j thread page 3 I posted and in first link download firmware for your country and follow rest instructions on How to root it there

Maybe if you want to do the last thing that can help you hear this.
Someone with a problem like you checked Erase Entire CP in SmartFlash while flashed stock v20 rom. After that he writed the IMEI on the phone manually.
This was his fix. Hope you understand.
Sorry for my english !

What scamex said should work, that's what I did because I saw also in the lockscreen by LG (only in the stock rom because I though it was because of the custom rom) LG Security Error or something like that.

Windows enabler is on, btw. And aint such choice as "CP USB" in secret menu.

It is on, but still "Erase entire CP" checkbox is greyed and i can't check it!

Strange, since Windows Enabler must allow you to check it. :S

on my comp the box is greyed when you start smartflash with enabler but when i click it.. it becomes checkable

you mean - first open smartflash and only then windows enabler?

Run enabler as admin click on it by windows time to turn it on.then start smartflash. Box is greyed but if you click it,it becomes clickable

And you also need to click on the Windows Enabler button, that comes up, till you can read ON!!! not just open it Maybe that s your fault

still not working. Will try another PC tomorrow.

So, i managed to erase cp. Other problem now. I don't have the CP usb thing in hidden menu, so i could rewrite imei, cuz theere is still no service.
in hidden menu i see Port setting -> *Diag Setting, *USB Switching, *Data Setting.
I assume, the one i need is USB switching, but i can press it all day long and i still don't see my device in hyperterminal. Please help me!

Can please somone tell me how to connect to hyperterminal? My device's port shows up only if my phone is in S/W Upgrade screen, but i can't type anything in hyperterminal. What should i do?

HTC Vivid lost service HELP!!! WILL DONATE

Long story short had my vivid rooted played with busybox accidently deleted my IMEI #, carrier APN'S,phone still works with wifi cant make or recieve calls.Phone will boot,I miss this phone dearly im using a iphone 3 right now in it's place and hate it.I dont know how to fix this or flash that.Someone with some free time that would like to earn a donation please pm me with a donation amount and this would have to be done remotely, i have no idea on any of this....Please help i miss my vivid.PS I have no back ups that i can use cause I lost the root permission to I guess.Thanks guys...I know Im an idiot so please dont remind me..... Not sure how I deleted any of this really. And if their is dought in anyones mind that this phone is stolen I can prove ownership, idk how i deleted my IMIE # cause if I did I would know to fix it.

My best advice to you would be to flash the stock RUU for the carrier you are on and then see if that fixes it. Other than that I am not sure of anyone else that has had this isse aside from one other that fixed his with a flash of the stock GB RUU for his phone.

Hmm that may be an issue. I am not even sure you can flash an RUU without a windows machine. I would start looking around google to find out and if not start seeing about using a friends computer

Look for the IMEI on the box and try to enter it Maybe the method for the AT&T galaxy S III will also work for you.

how do I do it manualy?

As far as I know...there is no way to delete the imei on an HTC (unlike Samsung's that have it located in the eds folder in root) from what I've read its kept in its own partion that no app or file explorer can access...
Here's my advice...download the stock rooted rom, flash it
If you can find a pc to use then use a ruu (yet another reason why I hate macs and apple all together-programs either are programmed for them last or not at all)

Unless your s-off, you need to by a new computer so you can fastboot a boot.IMG or learn how to do it on your g4.

How to unbrick samsung galaxy Mini GTS5570

My phone, (Samsung GT S 5570) Just died a few days ago while I was installing some software. The software was Clockwork Mod. To install this, I used an application from Google Play called -Rom Manager. After installing the app, I clicked something like flash clockwork mod, and a list was brought to me, from which I was to select my phone model, but unfortunately my wasn't among the list. So, I picked the first Model type and proceeded. The clockwork Mod was installed correctly and so I went to the next attempt and that was to Partition my SD Card. Consequently, my phone went off and I thought that it would restart on itself but....! I tried to restart it on my own but the LCD didn't even turn on. What do I do? To make it worse, the phone won't even go into recovery mode. The phone was already rooted, so no warranty. I suppose the phone is Bricked. Someone please help.

Your phone is bricked and it's because you were trying to install CWM for a device that was probably not even remotely close to yours. Also wrong section I would suggest posting in this section forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1311 and seeing if they might be able to help you.

NEVER install CWM via rom manager it just isn't compatible with our device and 99.99% of people brick their phones because of it. And yes, your phone is probably bricked, hard brick. What u can do now is to try a usb jig method which is available in the guide in my sig.

You're totally out of luck on this one mate, now you have a very nice paper weight if you still have a valid warranty, just bring the brick to the service center and they'll fix it for you, but never ever mention flashing, clockwork mod or anything related it happened while updating with kies, that's it and guide for making usb jig provided by tietganFTW works, I made one for myself already and tested it on mini, so there's nothing to worry about on this one

I heard in few places that mini bricked by cwm is repairable with jig, and I made one and tested it, and it worked, so yeah, probably

I tried, but I failed. And I threw it away. So now I ain't got a spare USB cable to make one. I'll consider getting one during the holidays

Yeah, soldering is hell tricky especially with sh!tty tin just keep your arms steady and stay focused

I lost my IMEI too, when I installed a custom from. But it's not a big problem if you have signal. Just, you can't install apps from PC through play store and you can't use the anti-theft function. And I think you can't recover your IMEI. I tried all the methods, but not success. And if you return your phone to the Samsung service, they will know that your phone is rooted, etc... Only if you hard brick your phone...There are some methods...

Soft Brick, cause OS still running.
Maybe we can call it Phone Brick (no signal, IMEI, etc...)

When Samsung sc changes mobo of the phone, does we get knew IMEI??

you still got the imei at the back of your phone after you put out the battery xD
