[Fix]Fix for Camera of Nik's Rebirth 4.0 Rom

huazvi says this is the raw version which can fix the camera fc problem when under 800pxl, and after he finishes his final exam, he will try to improve the quality of the camera.

huazvi said the problem may due to the property of the photos, he suggested to delete the code "setparameters" to fix camera fc, but this will cause flash fc and camera recorder fc. well, i don't under stand what does he mean..i hope you can.

Just tried this fix in TSM UKB and it works flawlessly in both camera (8M) and camcorder (720p).
One thing I noticed is that this camera (or old unfixed version) will crash if I enable face detection AND when the camera is trying to focus someone's face. I guess the code for face detection is not working well in our phone. So if you're experiencing camera crash, try disabling face detection.

There's another issue with current Camera app. The touch to focus function doesn't work well in close range. Try to focus something within 1 feet. You'll hear the sound the phone is trying to focus but the screen doesn't focus and give you a sharp image. But if you hit the shutter button, the resulting image is sharp and correctly focused.

I guess focus is used in a completely diff way ... Focus on an object then click the pic it will click according to what you focused earlier ..

The circular one was for persons, so I think it either focuses twice, or tags the face, or whatever. There usually is a quite normal focus

This works for me (ICS). Mirror 5. Just pushed, set permissions and owner. Photosphere works, as well as the gallery and can view the captured sphere shot.

Camera Hangs
i dont know why the camera hangs after taking pictures

Keyboard working great
But camera pic quality seem not good...I feel CM10 camera quality is better than this
And also hangs on taking pic
Video recording is also hanging like in CM10

havent tried to edit a photo forgot about that. but yea everything else works for me too. im on elegancia so ill have to try to edit a photo later

Camera and Photosphere work great for me so far. only issue I've had is the FC when trying to edit. I'm running Dark Raider 1.5 with Faux 006 kernel.

This is great! The camera works pretty well. I had the camcorder freeze on me when I tried to take a photo at the same time as the video shooting.
The keyboard is excellent, except you can't add words to the user dictionary as it appears from the logs that the code to do that operation is missing for some reason.

Haven't used 4.2 camera on my vivid as rs been running cm10...but been rocking this camera on my infuse...love photosphere! Runs fairly well on my infuse all though photosphere rendering takes a few minutes (single core CPU...512mb ram...) can only imagine how much smoother and faster it would be on the vivid...or the nexus 4....

It's not bad, but there's limitations. Sphere doesn't render well with too many pictures on the vertical axis when making a flat picture and sphere viewer doesn't work. Also too, editing doesn't work, it tells me that there's no program associated with the button press. But panorama and all the other camera settings work great!
I am running wajee's de- sensed ROM, so I don't know if that's the cause of those items not working?

ok i have one problem with the keyboard ...... ( htc vivid -dedoxed stock ics rom)
when ever i select 'touch to save' a new word .. i get the 'unfortunately the android keyboard has stopped working ..then the keyboad comes off screen and i am left with the cut/copy/paste with the work highlighted. ...
i saw this elsewhere and i wondering if a similar action cant sort out ours

the zip is made for ics probably thats why it says unsupported

Check your build.prop settings. You may need to adjust those to get everything up and running.

Flashed the camera zip on CM10 and everything functions perfectly! Photosphere is smooth, panorama is smooth, and editing functions just fine.

I use GOkeyboard so I guess it doesn't really matter to me what the 4.2 keyboard is, but it does look cool!

You asked this in another thread. Just flash the ROM and try it yourself. You can always use CWM to make backups to restore in case you don't like it.

ROM is running fine, music downloader FC's a lot but i just uninstalled walkman and its fine now. Will keep on testing for a day or two.

Just flashed real quickly. I did see some problems with music downloader as the post above stated but uninstalling Walkman did seem to fix that problem. Everything else seemed to work fine, nice and smooth. Good work getting this out so fast.

Great ROM other than the already mentioned music force close. Would love to see a reboot (standard system/bootloader/recovery) option in the power menu. Thanks much!

You can record video, but once you entered camera app,
you shouldn't take any picture and go to recording mode directly in order to record video successfully
ex) lunch stock camera app -> recording mode -> record

We are able to capture video even after taking pictures to first error is not there....(as allready reported)
will check for battery life and will report later
however when initially using the rom ..my sd card was automatically unmounted..dont know the reason..happend 4-5 times,... now it is working....(even got sd card damaged msg)
if someone facing this error please remove and reinsert u=your sd card..had to do it 3-4 times to get it working...

Just thought I'll share this coz I was very confused initially. If you want to enable developer options then go to settings/about phone and tap the build number 7 times. Google be trolling -_-
