[Q] I cant flash my Galaxy Mini ?

I have a problem with my android ..
I Downloaded latest CM7 ROM to SD Card
Rebooted to Recovery Mode
I selected install zip from sd card
I selected choose zip from sd card
I selected the CM7 ROM
Selected Yes - Install update
I Waited till the Installation is finish
I selected reboot system now... after reboot should i do something ?
Beacuse when i reboot i just get the Samsung Logo.. please help me !!
just reflash CM7 and wait a wild
first boot always take time
1. Make sure you're using ClockworkMod Recovery or RZ recovery instead of stock recovery.
2. Wipe data after installing CM zip file. Just make sure you backup your stuffs using TB instead of Kies, for Kies won't detect your device if it's running CM7

U should wipe the data after installing rom and reboot
after that all will work fine
Wipe data and cache, flash the zip
if that doesn't work download again, could be the zip file
if it still doesn't work format the system and flash a different version of CM7

files no found at SD card At recovery

I tried to flash doc's V8 ROM but after all the wipes when i choosed "Instal zip from sd card" I got the error that no file found, and when I tried to reboot the recovery he said can't mount sdCard ... what should I do???
please I searched and did'nt know what to do ....
Can you get into download mode? If so you would be best to install a stock samsung firmware using odin , then root and start again.
Did that, again after flashed stock and wipe before installing the rom when I tried to choose zip from sd card, the same thing happend... "no files found"... what should I do??
have you copied the file to your internal sdcard?
To the Sdcard... after flashing stock rom and putting semaphore kernel I have the ability to install zip from sdcard , but if I wanna change the rom I should wipe the factory + cache + dalvik + format system... after I do the factory wipe, I can't Install anything from sd card, I get the error that no files found... what to do?
Tried something..
I tried just install zip from sd card over the stock 2.3.6 , I installed the Doc's Rom , and it works, but I didn't wiped anything... Is it ok?
Should I act diffrently ???
If it`s all working i would just leave it as is...it is good to wipe but not always needed . check that your cwm is the latest version or reflash another version through the app to see if that resolves your zip files not showing up .
I can install now zip from SDCARD but I think that If I would do a full wipe I won't be able to do that..

[i9001] Unable to uninstall apps, wipe data, flash rom with Odin or CWM

Hi all, this is my first post on XDA. I'm having big troubles with my device, a Samsung Galaxy S Plus i 9001 and I'm looking for some advice.
After a clean installation of the rom i had been using for some time I started to get messages of force close for most of the apps installed at every boot. The ROM in question is SmoothieICS v2. I believe that the reason of this issue is the fact that I restored all the apps and the data with Titanium backup. To solve the problem I tried to restore a nandroid backup via CWM (version 6.0.1.0), but when a rebooted, the backup was not installed at all and the force close messages continued. After that I tried to wipe data and cache, reinstall the ROM via CWM and Odin, install the stock ROM, fix permissions, format the partition, but nothing worked. Every time I reboot the device, the old ROM boot up with the same force close messages.
I've read several posts on XDA with similar issues, but usually a clean reinstall worked fine. At the moment I'm out of option.
Find attache a copy of the logcat recorded after rebooting the device.
Any suggestion to save my phone is really appreciated.
Thnaks in advance.
Some tips here:
1: Flash BroodROM RC5 (this is an Gingerbread ROM with all the partitions of our device) via odin
2: flash CWM 5.5.0.4 (this is in my eyes the most stable recovery) and wipe all (system, data, cache, dalvic etc)

First solution,
SmoothieICS is an outdated ROM. Currently there are more stable and bug free releases are available for our device. You can try that.
But, the choice is yours, if you want to continue with it,
Access download mode, install a stable and safe recoveries like CWM 5.5.04, TWRP 2.2.1, or CWM 6.0.3.2 via odin or you can try to flash it via current recovery.
Then do a full data wipe, wipe cache, wipe dalvic cache. If necessary, delete the partition and do a full format
Restore the nandroid backup or do a fresh install
Edit: @mrjraider Haven't seen your reply. Silly me, repeated the same thing you said..

No problem mate
Things happen
Thank you both, but your solutions didn't work. After installing BroodROM via Odin my phone rebooted in SmoothieICS just like nothing happened. Also a new recovery can't be installed, Tried with TWRP and CWM with no luck :crying:

That's strange. How is it possible to show up again after deleting and formatting the partition completely.. Are you sure you formatted the data and system in mounts and storage menu of cwm recovery.?
Anyway, Remove your external sd card, and try all the methods again..
Tried again. Did the following:
- removed the external sd card
- rebooted in recovery
- format system and data
- installed CWM 5.5.0.4
- rebooted in recovery
The recovery version installed is still the 6.0.1.0!!!!
It is like the internal SD card can't be written any more.
One thing I maybe didn't mention is that if I delete a file in the internal SD card and the reboot, the file is still there. it is not deleted.
This is really frustrating.

I recognize those symptoms. The i/o of the sdcard is defect.
What happens is that when you want to format random 0 and 1 are being written to remove the data on the card. If your card is broken and cant be written to you will be unable to format or flash anything. And thus the data on the card remains.

Does this mean that the only way to solve the issue is to replace the internal SD card?
Same Issue, but with SGS GT-I9000
I have pretty much the same problem!
Ive been reading a lot and it really seems to be a problem of the internal SD card!
I tried many times to delete all the files on the internal SD card via USB and via Recovery Mode, installed different OS ...nothing worked and most of my apps crash the whole time, so force close to all!
Im now about to decide to use my external SD as internal!
What do you say?
Any ideas
Thanks

sideloading rom crashes during installation

I decided to wipe everything including my internal sd card so i have a fresh start. So i wipe data, wipe delvik, wipe cache, and wiped sdcard. But when I sideload and install Android Revolution 30.0 it crashes at the beginning of the installation process.
I need help figuring this out. I tried googling it nothing came up.
Did you check if it is not a corrupt download?
Do you have Win8 (8.1) - connectivity issues?
I sideloaded ARHD 30 on latest TWRP 2.6.3.0 and it installed without issues.
Download is not corrupted i even tried to install the old version i was using and it's doing the same thing.
And I am still on Windows 7.
Now in CWM Recovery when i try wiping data, it crashes too.

Figured it out, For some reason i can install the rom with no options selected.

Never, ever format the system.
If you're on stock just do that:
1-Reboot in recovery
2-Choose Wipe data/factory reset
3-Flash cm rom
4-Flash gapps
5-Reboot
Done, that's it.
If you want to update cm roms (or any rom):
1-Reboot in recovery
2-Flash cm update
3-Choose Wipe cache & dalvik cache
4-Reboot
Done.
You don't need to mess up with anything more.
P.S. better use twrp 2.7 from novafusion, for better compatibility.

Thanks but it still doesn't work. I want to flash the rom but the rom file its in the external sd card and it says that there are no files found. And when i hook up the phone to my pc the phone is detected, however I can´t acess the sd card.
Maybe if there's a way for me to acess the ext. sd card and change the rom file for the internal memory it would work. Do you know how can i do this?

Euhm, it might be a weird idea, but you take your external SD-card, put it in your card reader, connect the card reader to your pc, and copy the zip to (let's say) the root of the SD-card
CWM should be fine, but I'm used to TWRP. You can find it on the novafusion website. (search novafusion TWRP)
If you can't boot into CWM or TWRP, or files still don't show up on the browsermodule in the recovery rom, you still have the possibility to flash your ROM using odin. Check the installation guide on novafusion, it gives you a link to all the files you need and a detailed description how to install your rom.
