1800mAh Battery - LG Optimus 2x

http://www.obostore.com/1800mah-spare-Battery-for-LG-Optimus-2x-p-1326.html
Anyone tried it?

Hi,
I don't have this battery, but by the looks of the sticker, it's a generic battery that can be found on ebay for almost every good brand/model smartphone. I doubt it can do 1800mah, it's relatively cheap. For batteries, you usually get what you paid for.
Cheers.

If u watch the 1500maH batteries, the price is like 3x that, dont go just for the price, do some research.

I have the 1700maH from Mugen Power! The price is good for a lil bit more batterie!
Gesendet von meinem LG-P990

Staff have a doubt about these batteries. The phone marks the correct percentage when using these batteries?

No % problems with my 1700mAh batt! I have it since 8 month!

I also have 2x 1700mAh from mugen power, and i'm quite satisfied with them. Gives me in average 4 to 8 hours more battery life than the standard LG battery. Have them for like 6 months now, and no problems at all. Recommended =)

Awaiting Anker battery

Have used Anker for a while now and I hope they make one for the Note II.
Mine will be here today. Had decent experiences in the past with anker.

Im using the Anker battery right now. I bought it from Amazon and it is working perfectly. The only issue is it is too large to fit in ky older Anker wall charger... I had to modify a little bit.

OEM is 3100mah which is the same as the anker (supposedly)
anyways, just bought the 2x battery + charger combo since don't have a charger for the Note 2 batteries and that's like $4 alone on ebay anyways.
is there any difference in the actual battery life between the OEM and Anker?
There is a MUGEN battery that is 100mAh bigger (therefore providing approx. 3% longer use of out SGN2:
http://www.mugen-power-batteries.co...-battery-for-samsung-galaxy-note-2-n7100.html
to be honest, I´ll stay with the stock battery and just optimize my phone with android tuner / Automate It Pro and other tools to get more than 3% additional time... At this moment I am getting 1 full day (18h-19h) of very heavy use with WiFi and 3G on w/o any optimization.
With my settings running I am getting up to 30h of heavy use...
I don´t think that paying 45 USD is worth the additional 100mAh more but I might be wrong

I have contacted MUGEN a few days ago and this is what I've got as a reply:
"Thank you for your email!
Yes, we will have 5000+mAh battery for Note 2 at December."
So this might be a good thing, I just hope that it will not be bigger in thickness, maybe they can figure out how to make it the same size, but i highly doubt it unfortunately

I suppose it will be thicker than the stock. Anker did not offer any improvement in mAh, Mugen offers only +100mAh so I doubt that you can fit additional 1900mAh w/o making the battery thicker. 1-2 mm thicker battery won´t be much of a problem because you still could fit that battery under the plastic cover (tried it out). we´ll see I think, but I am not getting anything that makes my SGN2 any thicker as it is.
EDIT: there is a 4200mAh battery (I suppose total crap, just look at the price) available: http://www.eforchina.com/view/12921...attery-for-Samsung-Galaxy-Note-II---N7100.htm
With this I suppose a 5000mAh battery from Mugen should be possible w/o making it thicker than 1-2mm (lets hope "fingers crossed")
I'm patiently waiting for the Mugen "super" battery. LOL!
I've always had great results in the past, however I've always sacrificed the thinness of every phone I've owned. I guess that's the toss up.

I think that Samsung is improving their own batteries so there is less room for improvement with aftermarket. The Anker battery in my S2 was better than stock, but that wasn't the case with their S3 batteries. Either way, having a spare battery available is really really cool when your away from a charger

what about the mugen battery?
When you can get an Anker for $8.99, it's beyond me why some one would pay for an overpriced Mugen.
great price.. but i've never had Anker before.. how long do they last? Those cheap chinese batteries that I've had in the past (for my HD2 for example) lasts about 4-5 months and would refuse to charge after that. How is Anker?

Any decent high capacity slim batteries?

I know the note 2 had a decent battery life, but why not strive for better?
With the galaxy note 1 you could buy a certain gold battery that was rated at 3250mAh. I'm not sure if it's that high but certainly after 6 months use between the two I can say it gives an extra 10% any least. This would work with the original back door.
I can't see a post relating to another battery of that type here, does one exist?

Check out post #9. Gold batteries are such a scam it's ridiculous how they are still selling as they are. Anker, Onite, Q cell and Hyperion all make aftermarket batteries. They are all rated around the same as a stock battery. You are best off purchasing an additional battery to keep on a swappable cycle.
I'd also like to see some legit slim-sized batteries for the Note II that are ACTUALLY a few hundred mAh more.

I understand the idea of swapping batteries or carrying around an extra, effectively doubling your battery life. For me I'd like slightly higher capacity while keeping the same form factor. One of the points of a higher capacity is to eliminate the carrying of another battery. IMO its just another thing to think about and check for when I leave my home. That's just my 2 cents. As for the actual question, all I've been able to find is the 3950 mah battery from ebay which has already been reviewed and is actually similar to the oem.
In Germany the company "Akku-King" is selling a 3300mAh normal size battery for around 15€.
I got a 3200mAh Extended Battery for my galaxy s2 from their shop and it's working really great!

I will attest that Anker makes excellent batteries. I had 2 of them as swappable spares for my Mytouch 3G Slide and they were rated about 200 mA higher. They worked far better than the OEM battery did. I would avoid using my original battery.
Got a G2x later on and that thing killed batteries. I tried a few differ brand batteries and ultimately coughed up the extra money to get an Anker battery. Was the only battery that wouldn't be destroyed by my G2x.
If Anker comes out with a higher capacity slim battery, I'll definitely be buying.
Last thing, I also have an external battery pack for charging on the go, also made by Anker. No complaints at all with that product either!

Don't you think a corporation like Samsung, with the amount of money they have, would put in the largest and highest capacity battery that they can make?
Either way, get another spare battery or go with an extended. At best, you will have the same battery life with an aftermarket. Again, at best.
I would add in Pisen who also make great batteries - from experience, and reviews. They currently have the same rated mah as the oem and I'm waiting for a higher rated one from them, or either of the mentioned 3rd parties.

/\this right here. Batteries are the single biggest limiting factor in phone and is also the slowest evolving technology. Battery technology isn't like the rest of the technology in where something better always right around the corner. To my understanding the wall battery tech has hit is the cost to produce a better lithium battery is way to high.

I bought an Anker for my Note I & II and I did notice a difference that was enough for me not to put the stock Samsung battery back in. I don't have hard factual evidence of this but I thought that I should mention it.

The best slim battery. Ever.

Let's say there are two types of removable phone batteries:
1.SLIM
These are the batteries which just fit straight into the phone without a bigger back cover needed, just like nature (the manufacturers) intended.
They can be extended, and offer a greater capacity, but their physical size remains the same.
then there's...
2. CHUNKY
The bigger batteries which offer a much greater potential capacity but also need a bigger back cover. They make you look at your phone and think "does this make my phone look fat?".
Of course, people are generally accepting of plus sizes nowadays, but slimmer is more practical, in the sense of a phone, right?
Anyway *clears throat*, I bought one of each of these, both being extended.
Firstly, I bought a chunky one, 3500MaH. I'm not sure if it's the phone, or the fact that the battery was el cheapo ($6 AUD), but it seemed liked the stock battery with nothing but an extra weight attached
Then, I purchased a slim one, the infamous gold '2430' MaH battery.
I wouldn't be surprised it was actually 1430 MaH, for it was worse than stock (1500MaH).
The point of this thread is to ask you which of the SLIM extended batteries (NO CHUNKY, ONLY SLIM) is the best you have ever used?
And may you also provide a price / link?

I would normally always go stock, its safer. even for the little extra money, your getting something sure to work and be safe and tested well.
I'm currently using / testing Battpit Battery you can buy on Amazon.co.uk after the 3rd charge cycle it tested and averaged out to 1740mAh or so, and under heavy use it turned out about 10 hours on almost constant use. i was very impressed.
i'm currently still doing my standby minimum use test for the past couple days and its still going.

As I wrote in the other battery thread...stock battery format with better Li-Ion technology, or Li-Pol could give maximum of 1800 mAh. This is a realistic number, I recently bought a Mugen extended battery and it seems to have given 1700 mAh. But all these golden batteries...:cyclops:

Battery usage
Hey there!
Ive tried every Rom on this forum, (almost ) but all gave me the same battery issue. (Only the 20s based roms where pretty Good!) Ive found not any ICS rom compatible with 3G and a good battery life. Tobad, but for me its a fact. The P990 is not designed for using with 3G, just drains the battery in les then 3 ours!
I also tried a lot of baseband and Ril versions, there where a few who does made a difference, but not that big.
Right now I using the 20s baseband. just because of my experience in the past.
For me the big difference is how you configure your processor. Which schedular and which governor. I tried a lot of combination, right now Im using schedular conservative with the ZEN governor, this combination gives me a really good battery usage. (4% drain in 8 ours @1200 Mhz @ night @ wifi )
Ive disabled 3G on my phone, only 2G. tobad, but only way to have a good battery life.
I also tried new batteries, the Big one 3500 Mah, not any improvements, the 1950 andida battery is a good one. but they all are not worth the money compared with the less battery usage improvements,
Hope this helps a little in the search for a bettery battery life with our phone.
Regards,
WyCkson

Got my battery a couple of weeks ago, it does work fine, lasts about 3 whole days with heavy use (Wifi always on, a lot of music listening, about hour of talk and ca. 30 sms), but you have to calibrate it first. (I think that's the word in English, the thing when you charge it and drain it 3 times)
There is no warranty as a piece of paper, but the seller has return policy.

Here's some pictures, this thing is awesome if you are still using the Ace. I wish this had come out sooner before I got my N5, because I was carrying 3 batteries with me everywhere and swapping them all the time after they ran dry.
Don't know how long it lasts yet, just installed it and haven't ran it dry and then powered it back up fully yet, but going from stock 1350mAh to 3500mAh should be pretty good, and it's not like those fake batteries that are the same thickness as the stock battery claiming to have insane mAh which are obviously fake.
http://imgur.com/a/cVYS4#0
Edit: I thought the battery was junk at first and not really increased capacity, but it seems charging while in the ROM doesn't work properly (??)
It was draining very fast, so I let it drain fully, then charged it fully with the phone off, and now it seems to be fine and (no specific durations) lasts quite a while, so it's definitely legit and increased mAh.

Mugen Power 4600 mah and 2500 mah batteries for ZR

So while randomly trawling the Internet for accessories for the ZR, I stumbled on this.
Mugen Power has come up with two batteries for the zr. The 4600 mah version comes with a battery door of course, while the 2500 mah one promises to fit into the existing back cover but for $44, doesn't quite make sense to spend that much money on a battery that will give you 9% more battery life.
I thought about getting the 4600 mah battery (deliveries begin in the first week of September) but two things held me back:
1. Will the new back door support nfc and the waterproofing? Not sure about this. The website doesn't have any proper images.
2. The phone looks like a whale.

For the waterproofing, i saw a video on YouTube of the mugen power batteries of the Xperia V, which he's design similar to the ZR, n they say the back cover they provide with the battery is keeping on the waterproof feature, n water can't get inside..
So u don't need to afraid man.. otherwise u can get one of this n be careful not to be around water..
Still here

Thanks for your answers

This one looks promising.......
Really interested in the actual capacity of the batteries. Which are fakes? Which are real? Can people who bought them post them here?
I bought the 2600mah for $4 on ebay seller u daily. Its actual capacity is about half of that.
I bought a 2800mah for $5 from ebay seller niking niking and its actual capacity is seems to be close to the original 2300mah, a bit less.

I went by how fast the battery % it fell. the 2800mah(niking-niking) for $5 is still pretty good for the price considering the capacity is slightly less than the original battery(probably 2200~2300).
Avoid this battery...
There are too many bad, cheap batteries being sold. I decided to buy one just for the sake of it and it performed horribly. It came in a sealed plastic wrap with the "BA950" word and an Android logo, nothing else. The battery was made really poorly. The wrap is made of paper (yes, paper) and the specs don't match the real capacity. My phone turned off at about 55% every time and the charging time was 90 min. It has a Sony Ericsson logo :silly: and an "A&J" sticker (brand?) on the back and a very bad SONY one on the front. It costs 5 bucks, but believe me, you don't want to buy it. Save those bucks for a better battery instead. You have been warned
