Let me give you a tip if you bricked your phone.
I accidentally flashed Checkrom for galaxy s2 into my note.
The phone was bricked, i couldn't get to the recovery mode. Using the volume+power+home key combo only displayed a f*** up screen and then rebooted.
I noticed that if I did this with the phone plugged into the computer, my PCwould actually recognize something being plugged.
What I did:
I ran the already-rooted.bat that came with the rooting toolkit (zergrush)
And thank to god my phone booted (as a Samsung galaxy s2!), well it did not boot at first, it was stuck loading but i could go into recovery mode. After that my phone actually booted as an s2 (all messed up), but I could eventually wipe it clean.
So, if for any reason your phone gets bricked you might want to try this (cause removing battery doesn't do s**t)
I'm glad you solved it. But have to ask how the Fu** did you flash a. Sgs2 rom. Do you not read?

I did the same
I was selling my SGS2 the same day as I received my note. Was bussy rooting and unrooting and moving files from SGS2 to Note. On that time Chekrom for note and SGS2 was both v.4 "do i need to say more" some kernels swits internal and external SD in CWM. and i was using my sd to move files, I lost my IMEI in the proces, I had a struggle getting it back
In my defense, the checkrom rom was labeled XWLA4_CheckromRevo_HD_V6.zip for the s2 and XXLA4_CheckromRevo_NoteHD_V5.zip for the note. I was doing a bunch of stuff and its not like the file names are totally different.
I made a mistake, and I won't be the last to make it. Someone might benefit from my experience.
I have exactly same problem !please tell the toolkit method

A few months ago, I had a few issues with my I9000.
I had Darky's Rom 10.1 at the time, and decided to go back to a generic rom.
Went to Samfirmware and downloaded I9003XXKP9.
It seemed to flash correctly, but on completion, Odin showed "reset", but no "pass".
The phone wouldn't power on at all, no download mode, no recovery.
My PC won't recognise it at all.
It was only later that I realised I'd installed a I9003 rom onto my I9000.
I've tried every button combination, with and with out a PC cable and battery, no reaction. Also tried a JIG I got off eBay. Works on my Galaxy S2 and my brother's Galaxy S, but not this this phone. It will charge if I connect it to a wall charger however.
I brought it to a local phone shop who used a JTAG, but apparently although they were able to get it into download mode, once they reflashed, it still wouldn't power on, no matter which rom they used. They worked on it for about a week.
I'm just trying to figure out if this phone is recoverable. It was only about 2 months old when this happened, and it looks almost new.
Many thanks for any information anyone can give!
Anyone have any ideas?
So in my point of view.
When they used to try the JTAG and the phone would not start up the motherboard / bootloader is corrupt.
No way to change that back.
May you send the phone to samsung and they are able to restore that device.
No other solutions in my point of view.....

Do what the guy says. the method is BULLETPROOF
it must go on ^^
Buy an usb jig on e-bay or make your own. This is just a 301ohms ressistor on pin 4 and 5. It should give ypu recovery mode.

Hello guys. I just upgraded Samsung note n7000 to stock ics rom. I rooted it and all was fine. I wanted to try stunner ics rom so I went to recovery mode and then entered cwm. As soon as I pressed wipe date, it got stuck and now I can't even get into recovery mode. Phone either stuck on Samsung logo or if I try to enter recovery by pressing vol up + home + power, it shows android bot with blue wheel rotating and it keep rotating then again goes to Samsung logo after several minutes. Please advise what to do. I'm new to all this.
If you can get into download mode, Vol down Home and Power, use PC Odin to flash any of stock ROMs and start all over again..
Try flashing GB ROMs first as you are new.. ics roms are not safe ATM..

Try to use ODIN to Get u back to GB. You can flash a Pit file as a last resort. Please go through the numerous threads on ICS and its Risks before flashing.

I fear this might be another one in the long line of Superbricks.
My friend had juz successfully overcome the stuck at " NAND Write stuck" in PC odin while flashing the lp1 leak repack...
What we did was to change a different usb port... provided u r still able to go into download mode..
We successed into bringing it back to life...
I hope it mayb some help.. no harm trying though...

Yes,its totally hardbrick. The eMMC cant be read while it boot, thats why you stuck in samsung galaxy note logo.. Bring it to sevice centre, and just wish they change your machine. I've experienced it when I was using galaxy s2, fortunatly they put it on guarentee and they change my machine.

But I'm able to go to downloading mode and when i put it on charge, it says firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in kies and try again.
Does it still mean I hard bricked the device?
Unfortunately, yes.
You can try to flash a stock GB Rom from Download Mode using PC Odin, but your
flash will fail. We have seen it so many times before...
However, there's no harm in trying, so go for it, maybe you prove to be an exception.
warranty?
if i connect my phone to charger, it says firmware upgrade encountered an issue. please select recovery mode in kies. but kies detects the phone bnut keeps saying connecting....
i am able to go to downloading mode which says
custom binary download:no
current binary: official
i have tried to put stock rom using pc odin but it gets stuck at nand write start.
is there a way out here?
if not, will samsung honour the warranty?
thanks.

Whether Sammy will honor the warranty? I guess it depends on your local service centre.

samsung service center may be the place you would want to visit if its not turning up even after doing whole bunch of things to get your warranty claim

Hi friends
I asking for help because yesterday i flash AOKP JB-4 in to my galaxy note N7000 but something went wrong in the middle of the rom install the screen put black and since then the phone is not working.
I'm going to explain all the process i made to flash the new rom
1. I install Clockwork Recovery in the galaxy note
2. I did a nandroid
3. I flash the rom with rom manager v5.0.2.1
4. The phone enter recovery wipe delvik and cache and started to install the rom
5. In the middle of the process the phone went black. is not the battery because it was 80% full
I have tried to enter recovery mode, download mode, use odin (but the PC dosent recognized the phone) i have also use [Linux] ModeDetect USBID Detector but this method is not compatible with the n7000
The phone was already rooted but the person who rooted didn't used odin so i don't now if that has something to do with the problem i have.
So is there anyone that can help me to safe the phone or is totally brick
Probably bricked since you didnt follow the warnings and instructions. There are methods in here somewhere were you might be able to partially revive the phone but loose some storage I believe.

You can try using PC odin in download mode to try installing a stock rom. If post update the phone is stuck in boot it probably means your phone is bricked.
Take it to samsung and if you are under warranty they will replace the mother board.
Happened to me. One of those unlucky ones who did factory wipe before the news spread out
Well he said I can't turn it so no download or battery charging mode just nothing. Black screen dead. Like I said when I flash a Rom that what happen to me and nothing no jig nothing made it possible to even turn on make the screen light up other then a motherboard exchange.

Hello! I recently found my bricked (?) S5830 and wanted to play around with it.
However, I cannot turn the screen on (it's black even when in recovery mode)what so ever but my computer do recognize it, the weird thing is. I can infact boot it into Recovery boot when it's turned off, but can't boot it into Download mode. I can only boot it to DL mode when im in recovery mode.
I tried odin to flash stock firmware but i only get "SetupConnection" stuck.
Have I lost it?

What happened to cause this problem?

Nope, the screen is black (no logo, no charging logo) whatever I do. Still, the phone can be recognized on the computer. And I can feel the battery getting warmer sometimes.
It was 4 years ago I used this phone but I think I flashed something wrong.

I flashed a s5830i rom with odin on my s5830 by mistake. . took a trip to samsung to fix it.
When in cwm recovery do you have adb access? (wait 30secs before you try).
If all else fails download mode is the only thing left, flash stock rom via odin or kies.
For reference when I bricked mine the pc would still "see" it but not in the correct mode
to flash a rom.

Your's is indeed a unique problem coz odin changes everything from radio, kernel, recovery and of course your rom.
