I tried to flash Kingdroid and Darkynote Roms . Still the same .
put the roms file in your internall sd
Enter recovery via 3 buttons
First wipe dalvik cache and the wipe data
then istall from internal sd
----------------------------------
if this does not work for you
Try flashing PC ODIN but follow exactly the steps.

Do not use PC Odin for flashing custom Roms like Kingdroid or DarkyRom. It will raise your binary counter and void your warranty.
Always use CWM Recovery for flashing custom stuff.

Are you trying to flash a package that you have created or modified?
Im flashing kingdroid roms
So I'm gonna post my problem with pictures as I can't flash any roms .
Bear with me as the camera quality quite sucky as im using iPhone 4s.
Firstly I'm on recovery mode ;
Secondly , as what you see I've my ROM inside my SD card which is Kingdroid ;
Lastly, when I tried to flash the rom and it show me this
That's Android system recovery 3e, not CWM recovery.
And, ROM Manager is incompatible with Galaxy Note...........................
Are you having rooted device?
you need is CWM
download guide from last link on my signature, n follow it. It have instruction for both Root n CWM
N Rom manager won't work with Note.

So I've done it all before on my Ideos X5 fine and have Miui on that, but for the I9000 I have, I'm having trouble. :silly:
Model Number:
GT-I9000
Firmware Version
2.2.3
Baseband Version
I9000DXJV9
Kernel Version:
[email protected] #2
Build Number:

I've tried Googling around and got my hopes up finding threads which turn out to be a couple years old and the download links are broken or internationally blocked etc. I tried using a CF Root with Odin, but the files I've tried have just made my phone go into a boot up loop.
This is what got my phone back to functioning again: https://www.fixmystuff.in/FMS_Forum...shing-to-original-rom-using-odin.46/#post-152
Now that It's running I've only got Android System Recovery <3e> which won't let me flash a Rom from. I've also got superuser (I see this in the app drawer).
So yeah I'm having trouble, and I'm thinking if I get CWM on here then I'll be all go to start flashing the Roms I want?
Seems like the DXJV9 version doesn't have much going for it.
My goal is to get the Semaphore JB Kernel and Slim Bean Rom on it.
Hope this makes some sense, help would be appreciated!
Oops sorry, can a mod move this to Q&A?
Download this "update.zip". Place it in your SD card. Power off and boot into recovery with the 3 button combination (press power, volume up and home button till you see the boot logo) and select "apply sdcard: update.zip". DO NOT DELETE THIS FROM SD. You should have CWM installed now. Let me know if you have any problem.

Thing is, I have Android System Recovery <3e> not the stock recovery. I have this because I bricked my phone so I used this to fix it:
https://www.fixmystuff.in/FMS_Forum...shing-to-original-rom-using-odin.46/#post-152
So seems like this 3e recovery won't let me flash to CWM
OK after hours of messing around, I finally got it all sorted.
1. Flashed my phone with this here with Odin: https://www.fixmystuff.in/FMS_Forum...shing-to-original-rom-using-odin.46/#post-152
2. Flashed with CF-Root-XX_OXA_JVO-v3.2-CWM3RFS with Odin (PDA)
3. Booted into CWM then installed Codename-Android-4.1.2-ULTIMATE
4. Booted into CWM again after installing the above ROM and then installed [4.2.2] Slim Bean - I9000 [Build v4.2][Imagination++] with the apps addon.
Hey folks,
So I'm trying to load android 2.3.6 on my i9000 (it was previously running 4.2). The thing is, it's home button is broken so I can't easily access the recovery mode. So I've built a jig, forced the phone into download mode, and from there on flashed 2.3.6 using THIS method.
The phone then automatically reboots into Clockworkmod Recovery 3.0.0.5. I then wipe dalvik and cache, and factory reset the phone. Then when I'm trying to boot into android, the phone enters a bootloop. It doesn't even show the boot animation, just the Galaxy S black/white splash screen. At that point I can't seem to get back into the recovery, because of that broken home button.
What I've done so far:
- Checked that my SD card isn't faulty. I can perfectly browse files with the recovery. Mounting the SD card however doesn't work. I don't know why.
- Before I used heimdall to flash the ROM, I tried using Odin v1.83. I clicked repartition and used a 512.pit file. Could it be that my partitions are messed up?
- My end goal is to flash Cyanogenmod 10.2.1. I tried flashing the 10.2.1 .zip (it was still on my sd card, luckily) through the recovery. But that also results in a boot loop, where I cannot get past the boot animation. I know a solution to that would be to clear user data and dalvik again, but I don't know how to get into recovery mode from there.
So, any ideas what I could do? I have a feeling that something's up with my partitions, but I don't have the knowledge to know for sure. Any help is very much appreciated!

Wow, how did I not think of that? Thanks!
I have a real issue trying to install any zip files for ROMS.
At first I thought it was just the file I had downloaded so I downloaded another, and another, and another through a different browser (as I had read this might be an issue?).
Still nothing worked. I've put some screenshots below of what I am getting.

Then I flashed a newer version of CWM (from the Cyanogenmod thread) and got this...
These are all stored on my external SD card which is where I am trying to boot from. The weird thing is that I can install the Alliance ROM but no others! I'm not sure whether its something to do with the Alliance one being a 4.3 ROM and the others all based around 4.4??
I really am out of ideas and can't find any solutions that seem to work, please can anyone help?
User does not have CWM recovery in image one its stock 3e.
Image 2 reads as a faulty file package .
Please try Philz Recovery .
Thanks.
I'm not quite sure what you mean by your first sentence but I will try Philz Recovery as well.
I've just flashed Philz Recovery but still no joy
I tried installing CM and OmniRom which was stored on the phone, and then also from the SD card but its still giving me the same messages?
I really am at a loose end here, I'm hoping there is a simple explanation for this????
Simple explanation reads as faulty zip files .
message says cannot open .
First sentence you did not have a custom recovery only stock recovery on image one .
Suggest format phone in recovery format sdcard system data cache then boot to download mode and flash stock rom .
With 63 posts you can ask in your roms thread or its Q&A thread ,
I see that you installed Philz Touch 5. Try latest 6.12.8: http://goo.im/devs/philz_touch/CWM_Advanced_Edition/i9300 > This is based on CM11 tree, so it will work only with ROMs that hve the update binary from a CM11 ROM. So it will work with the stock CM11 you are trying to use. Try before you flash the ZIP to search it with ES File Explorer. If it appears the files inside it, than it should be OK. If it shows an error message saying that it is not a ZIP, you hve to download it again, because the file is not good. You have here:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2201860 some other issues and how to fix them. Hope I helped you.
I have to agree, go back to full stock, the modify the phone step by step. Root-cwm-custom rom

Thanks for your replies guys.
This is odd, but I now have CM11 on my S3 LTE.
After installing Philz Recovery, I then reverted back to the latest version of CWM and tried to re run the file and this time it ran! I have no idea what was going on there?
Just in case this whole thing happens again if I want to flash an alternative ROM... What are the steps for returning the phone to a factory 'stock' state?

Hi there,
I am trying to install CM (10.2 or 11) on a samsung note N7000 (16G) international but fail to do so.
The N7000 shows:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
I think (but am unsure) the n7000 is currently running cwm6-recovery-i317.tar (that seems to be for Note 2, would that run at all?)
The recovery window looks like this:
So that is blue text. The version on the top line is not really visible it is (3e)
When android is running I can connect using Odin, while recovery is via ADB.
I installed ROM manager (5.5.3.7). It states that TWRP is installed. I tried installing CWM.
After downloading it takes like a few seconds flashing which completes with a message it successfully flashed CWM recovery. Booting into recovery from Rom manager hangs, Booting using VolUp-home-On however presents the same recovery window as before (shown above).
I downloaded various roms on the external SD card. None of them can be installed from the recovery window.
How do I determine what the exact state of the device is.
Which paths are still open for installing CM?
I hope someone can help me.
Kind regards
pvswie01
This is Stock Recovery. You must flash an updated recovery. Check the rom-thread which do you want to flash and use the suggested kernel-recovery combo.
Also I think your device is not rooted. So you know what to do. Read the sticky threads. All written here. Use the search function
Use Philz kernel

I downloaded philz_touch_6.48.4-n7000.zip and tried to install it using recovery.
'Recovery' according to user_99 above is 'Stock Recovery'.
The zip file is loaded. Then some messages about Phone n7000.
Then is says: 'This package is for galaxy.note.n7000.N7000.GT-N7000' devices:
Status 7
Status 7 according to what I found means something like 'wrong device'.
So still the same question:
How do I determine what the exact state of the device is.
Which paths are still open for installing CM?
I am very familiar with linux command line. Any options to just dd the recover somewhere? Where?
If I do this wrong the device is likely dead. Do I have any options for checking?
I hope someone can help me.
Flash an older Philz kernel, not a touch version. Read the sticky threads how to flash custom roms.
I have a Samsung Tab S2 T713. I used Odin to Flash CF Auto Root. I was able to get root and after I flashed TWRP. I made a backup using TWRP. Then I tried flashing Lineage OS 15.1 to get Android Oreo. I check as carefully as I could to make sure that I was getting the rom meant to work with the S2 T713. I flashed the rom from inside TWRP. First I wiped the Dalvik Cache, System, Data and Cache. I then used "Install" from the Twrp menu, found the Lineage zip and swiped to install. The install failed and gave me a message that the zip was for the wrong device.. I tried rebooting and got stuck at the bootloader. I already had the stock rom and I was able to get into download mode. I used Odin to try to flash the stock rom. The operation failed. The tablet screen said SW REv Check Fail. {aboot} Fused 2 >Binary 1

You need a revision 2 firmware. You're attempting to flash a revision 1 firmware.
You mentioned I should use revision 2 firmware. Can you give me a link for that?
While I was waiting for a reply I flashed TWRP. I was able to restore using my Nandroid backup. However, now the tablet wont recognize my password. I have done some reading and it seems my only choice is to do a factory reset. Are you aware of any other options or should I do a factory reset from inside TWRP?
Once I get back up and running, I want to try flashing the Lineage OS. Can you give me a link for the correct version.
Thanks.
