LeWa OS for HTC Legend​
Description:
This is a port of the LeWa OS Rom. The official website is http://www.lewaos.com/, but everthing in chinese.
I will provide two versions, one based on 12.05.25, where I will try to translate as much as possible and
a version based on the latest LeWa release, which won't have a translation except english and chinese.
When the latest LeWa release is stable enough, I will switch to it as stable base.
There are some scripts build in which asks for root permissions, so allow it.
If there any issues, please report them.

Looks like we will never have a multilanguage fully working CM-based ROM (Like this or MIUI) on our Legends...

I will have a look if it is possible to add the other languages from cm7, then should be everything translated exept the custom LeWa OS stuff.

Here is a screenshot:
The settings and the framework are mostly translated now. I will translate the rest, when I fixed the two issues.
Here is a patch for the translation. With this patch you can choose between all cm7 languages. The whole rom won't be translated, only system dialogs and the most settings entries, but user apps should be in your native language(if the app has this translation ).

Will it show Russian/Italian and other languages correctly in messages and in contacts?

No, because the messages app itself is not translated. The system dialogs are translated and if an app is used which has this language it will be shown in that. But I can try to provide you the cm dialer and messages app or will have a look if the build in ones are using the default values from cm

Is anybody still interested in this rom, if not I would cancel this rom.

this my favort Rom, i like it so much, please keep going, the only rom i have not face any problem yet, just the calendar in Chinese, i used Any.DO instead

Great to hear that. My next step is to translate all stock and add if possible all languages.

Just a suggestion.. Usually apps crashes can be fix using CWM Fix app permission..
Maybe you can try that one first..

Well, only the default apps crash, and only sometimes. I will fix permissions and see what happens

I'm working on the next version. Stock calendar and dsp manager will be included. All included (cm7) stock apps will be translated, everything else will be in english.
Until this is done, I won't update the rom base, since every friday a new (official) lewa rom is released.
My current problem are that bluetooth.apk don't likes to be deodexed...

Do you think it would be possible to contact Blindndumb in order to get spanish language to work?
Also I´ve realized that when you record a video and you play it the image shows verticaly and you have to turn the phone upside down for watching the image correctly, do you understand what i mean. Otherwise the rom is perfect, very fast and quite battery friendly.

Well, the battery drains too fast, same 60% over 4-5 hours.

Thank you for your update, and for me no problemes with the rom except the google play.

There is an high chance that if you change PARANOID settings, you will end in bootloops. I reccomend to setup the rom as you like, do a nandroid backup and then play with them!

The problem is that I use it for my corporate email.

You just extract it from the CM9 /system/app then either use ABD or root explorer to put it in this /system/app/

However , our device is on the lowest dpi, so we wont benefit much from the best PARANOIDANDROID features

Galaxy mini has this rom too, and it seems to run fine there. Seems pretty usable too!

The Rom entitled MiniCM9 is ported from the sony xperia X10 mini which i believe is faster and has a few more settings.
I made this because i wanted an up-to-date version of CM 9 which doesnt have loads of apps slowing it down, so this is CM 9.1 with many apps removed which are not important and which you won't miss. This is based on a device with the same screen density (LDPI) so there is no size issues as everything is LDPI. This rom does not include gapps, so flash them after you have installed the rom.

I just updated it to the latest CM 9.1 and removed useless apps.
Will look for fixes in the future, but for now enjoy CM9.1

Im the first to try.
It's seem cool let's say if that rom is better than cm9.0

I just installed it too. I'm very much impressed so far. But please check automatic brightness. It's not available under display settings.

Thanks for testing guys, in terms of speed, is this faster than other ics roms?
And I just noticed that automatic brightness is missing, not sure why though

Running pretty nice and smooth so far.one thing I've noticed,quickpic doesn't seem to work being system app.AFAIK it needs some lib to work as a system app.

Just replace my meta-inf folder with one from a rom that installs

Just a thought but wouldn't it be much better to combine your efforts and instead of creating a new ROM providing your updates to Erwin's version?

Bugs I found
Rom is very smooth and good looking but I found some bugs / issues
[BUG] Network based location does not work
GPS works properly
Lock-screens need re-sizing, they do work but because they don't fit properly it's difficult to unlock the screen
Apps that I really like to have installed but FC
Touchpal X keyboard, crashes on re-sizing, otherwise works ok.
ES File Explorer, does not work at all

Touchpal error then use smart keyboard, it work properly
if you put new lockscreen from online themes, then you must manually resized it. because default lockscreen has been resized
ES File Explorer unused, safe to delete it from TitaniumBackup
as you know, GPS is CM7 bugs, so it's not included in OP
