i have reset my phone by prssing vol up +home +power keys
after the reset is done i still find some folders of app in my files
eg. tapatalk etc .
also i could see folders of go locker and go launcher
is this possible??
thanks
That folder must be in USB storage, that can't be erased excpet you have selected erase USB storage at time of hard reset.
If you don't want to have it, just delete it. these are data n cache folders, that creates automatically once you install application.

My phone can't clean the installed apps and my google account information.
I tried to format the internal SD card, the phone said the card is formatted, but no data lost.
I tried to use *2767*3855# to reset my phone to factory settings, but my contact is lost, but my google account is still there. after that all the apps i installed remain there, and I got a lots runtime errors of the apps.
I flash my phone with several roms, but the apps and the account information wasn't cleaned.
is my phone bricked? I still can enable the dowload and recovery mode, and I wipe the data and format the internal sd, but still not worked.
how can i resolve this problem?
sorry for my poor English
---updated-----
I try to format the internal SD and odin3 to flash the phone with 512.pit 513.pit or 803.pit with re-partation checked.
All above not work.
it seemed that the internal SD card and internal phone storage become read-only now?
How can I repair my half-bricked phone?
Switch the phone off. Then, hold volume up, the menu button and the power button untill the screen comes on. From there, select Wipe data/factory reset, and your phone will be reset, all your data deleted.

Thank you!
I really did this, but nothing changed..
I update to 2.3.4 and the files on the phone didn't deleted. If i try to uninstall aplication manual they uninstall, and after i tur on the phone the apps are back on the phone. I'd tried to put other version 2.3.3 , froyo 2.2.. and is the same problem. If i select format to factory setting, the same thing, or if i try to wape the data from the boot (vol up+home+power)... What can i do? And when it starts it gives me allot of errors of programs that cannot start...
Are you talking about default applications or downloaded applications. Need to know more details before further comment.
You could try the factory data reset in settings / Privacy if wipe with cwm doesn't work.
all the apps.. if i uninstall after a restart they are back, i'd tried wipe, factory reset... formatting the memory from the pc... after a restart the data is back...
I received my note yesterday after sending it to Samsung for repair and it was working perfectly fine. I haven't rooted it yet.
Last night it began rebooting after roughly every 30s to a minute and has been doing so repeatedly since. I have no idea why its doing this but it will still boot into recovery and download mode and USB debugging is on.
I haven't tried hard resetting it because it was my friends birthday last night and I have a lot of pictures a videos which I really don't want to lose. I usually save them on my microSD card because I've had bad experiences with this before but I completely forgot last night.
I was wondering if there was any way possible to recover my data from my phone in recovery/download mode or to stop it from rebooting?
Thanks in advance
Hard reset from this two option
1. Recovery mode(vol up + Home + Power) - wipe data
2. Setting - privacy - factory reset (dont select format USB storage)
Niether of it will erase your pic/video that stored in Int/Ext memory.
Dont use this command to hard reset *2767*3855# , otherwise you will lose data on int memory card.
You could probably copy the content of the sdcard when in recovery with adb commands.
You can try to wipe cache in recovery, that won't affect your internal sdcard. Even a factory reset from recovery should not affect your internal sdcard.
Please let some more ppl confirm this before you try to do a FR.
Cheers.

Hello,
To make a long story short
Probably one of my installed apps is causing this problem I have (app2sd)
A few days ago I always got this "force close" msg for ALL of my apps.
I decided to factory reset - although it worked ALL the apps folders were not deleted from internal memory
BUT the apps are not there realy, just the folders.
I did a hard reset, the same.
all the info on the INTERNAL MEMORY comes back after any type of reboot.
Tried to FLASH and reinstall the ORIGINAL STOCK. -- NOTHING it doesn't work, I mean the new installation is but the apps' folders are STUCK on the internal memory of the phone.
Any help?
How can I really format the internal memory? flash it totally? I can't even re install the apps again from market, it doesn't let me.
help?!

If you are currently on Gingerbread 2.3.6, go into menu> settings > storage and format your SD card and settings privacy> to do a factory reset and erase all than try power down and boot into 2e recovery to do a wipe data and wipe cache and reboot phone to download mode and re-flash the ROM again and back to recovery again to wipe data and cache
Hello, I've been trying the hard reset function on the Samsung Galaxy S i9000 but it simply doesn't work fully.
After pressing VOLUME UP + HOME button along with the POWER button, and going to the recovery menu, I select the 'factory reset' option and it says it was 'succesful', even though it was fairly quick, around 5 seconds maximum. I also did the 'wipe cache' option and the 'format internal SD card' option, once again, it says 'successful' each time, but once I turn it on and finish the setup (language, network etc.) and then I head over to settings, it still has my Google account linked and it even remembers my wireless routers password? It also has a few apps left in there.
Keep in mind, I removed my sim card and SD card before rebooting after the factory reset, I still haven't stuck those back in so I can make sure I get a full factory reset.
How can I do a HARD reset, which removes EVERYTHING. So it's kind of like taking out of the box for the first time ever?
Any help is appreciated, thanks.
Have you tried wiping / formatting the SD and USB Storage in Settings
In recovery make sure you do the 4 wipe process (data/factory , partition , dalvik and battery)
Before installing any new Rom

Hello, and thanks for replying.
I'm not trying to install a new ROM, I'm just trying to wipe the whole phone because the phone has been freezing alot.
I have wiped out the internal SD as mentioned above, but for some reason, after I hard reset the phone and turn it back on, in the set up part, my WI-FI password is already there, and so is my Google account/password? Along with a few apps (and the memory card was removed the whole time).. that can't be right?
Sometimes a Hard Reset doesnt resolve the issue thats why we do the full wipe process in Recovery
Along with Unmounting USB and SD and formatting them both in Settings
In settings just Forget Network on your Wireless connection
In Accounts just remove account for your Google Account with menu
What Rom / firmware are you using
can u gives us ur cwn version n hav wipe dalvik?
btw, no juz wiping, fixing permission also can help a lot.
if u say some app still there after formatting, try to disable sync or remove account using gsetting first. then try to factory reset again with wipe cache partition n dalvik cache, manually wipe datadata and data on mount & storage n try to reboot again, and may i ask u what firmware or custom rom r u using?
and sometimes, taking battery out n press power button for 1 minute n release it n put back battery n reboot help resolve many problem occur on i9000
