I want to install MIUI on my Xperia X8 but i saw that I ned to push framework-res2.apk /system/framework/framework-res.apk...I don't know how to do that but without it I can't boot my phone if I install MIUI..Can some1 help??
Which kernel are u using? You must have unlocked bootloader otherwise you cant use the MIUI ROM which currently only works with nAa's kernel
I have default kernel last numbers are 15 and i don't have botloader

yes, i think thats possible, I think it is quite complicated to do so since our x8 has lower level of configuration of hardware...
It is possible, Nobodyatall said in the future he will do that!

Well that's a great news let's see who's the first to bring it to our X8.
lots of people knows about it so its true , iam not the only one who wishing something like that afterall
If this is true..does it mean we don't need to unlock boot loader to flash new kernels.

I have Xperia x8 and I want to install ICS 4.0.4 but I need to have Unlocked Bootloader for do that.I looked on net to find how to do that but it's only for 11w29 or lower but my is 11w47 so i don't want to hard brick my phone. So can I install ICS on my x8?
Sadly, you cannot. However, there is an ICS ROM which is made for stock kernel, though it is very buggy and not maintained anymore.

It is recommended to you for not unlocking the bootloader instead of saying No.
It's all upon you to take the risk or not. There are so many buddies who successfully unlock their bootloder and other failed also.
I recommended to you go for stock roms(ginger) e.g.
Gingerdx v28
Kuyadroid 4.5.4
Which not required unlocked bootloder
Yup!!!!

There are so many time for stock kernel. Just search
My friend have the p970, and he talk me to install a custom rom for he, but any rom need custom kernel. In my xperia x8, to install a custom kernel, need a uncloked bootloader and a flash process in pc. But i see a video showing a instalation of cm10 on p970, without flashing a new kernel with other program, but the kernel change just with a zip instalation.
How can i install cm10 for p970 without unklocking bootloader? Im cofused.

Installing a rom on P970 its a pretty simple.
You just need root and recovery... to install a rom just do a full wipe and then install the .zip, search on general section about how to make root.
Just this? Isnt necessary to unclock bootloader to flash cm10 and flash a kernel with a program?
Sorry for noob question and bad english

Nope, because our bootloader is unlocked. Kernel comes with the flashable .zip file, so no need for additionally flashing anything after

Helloo Everybody..
I will be really grateful if someone found a solution to my problem...
I know that this is not a support site, but a developers world, but after searching and googling, i couldnt help my self.
Mods can close and delete this thread if they want.
My question is that if I flash a Gingerbread kernel(nAa or Alfs) on ECLAIR 2.1...wont it create problems..such as force closing or rebooting sort of problems??
Secondly I read SpydeX thread of unlocking bootloader..i got all the tools ready, but the thread doesnt mentions anything about entering into recovery via kernel on ECLAIR 2.1... the guide just tells that after flashing entr into recovery and flash the rom.
I tried this trick on my friends X8, but no success..
Thanxx in advance
If you flash a custom kernel at the eclair while you have locked bootloader, you will have bootloop(it wont boot, but you can easily fix it),if you have unlocked your bootloader it will be fine
As for your second question, you unlock your bootloader, you flash the kernel(which contain cwm),you enter recovery(cwm),and you flash the rom.

No he's got it wrong.
1. You can't flash custom kernels on a locked rom flashtool won't allow it.
2. Flashing a custom kernel on stock 2.1 will cause it to bootloop, what you'd normally do is enter recovery and flash a rom that works with the kernel.

No,users have reported that custom kernels work with stock rom(I remember very clear a user who used naa kernel with stock rom)
Maybe older versions...
If I'm wrong then I apologize

it is not necessary to unlock the bootloader to pass another rom, make you root your phone and put a rom on your liking, I suggest gdx v030
If you have at the back sticker of your phone a number that tells 11w29- then you can unlock your bootloader.
Even if you cant unlock your bootloader you can install a custom rom but you can use those roms that are for stock kernel.
