[ROM][10Feb] Worst Rom Ever v1.5 [NoSense, NoApps, NoTweaks, NoBase, NoSupport]

WRE 1.1 (Worst Rom Ever)
If you want a working ROM without bugs or FCs, DON'T use this ROM... use any other rom out there!
What u get:
- No HTC Sense... Use any other ROM if u want HTC Sense!
- No Apps... This rom is as empty as possible. Don't want that? ... use any other ROMs!
- No Tweaks... Every other ROM has more Tweaks, so if u want more tweaks, use another ROM!
- Not based on any official or cooked rom
- No support... sorry, I'm too busy (work/children) to give any support

yeah it's working. They only issue I have encountered so far is no loading of text on facebook.

Incredible! First ICS ROM for XL, from an unknown developer and with (almost) everything fully working.

just trying some gapps, will let you know if I get them working and then link.

Post some screenshots or video, please (when you have the time).
Kind of strange this isn't getting more attention.

Some of the shots are lacky but that's because I was recording in high res. It's super smooth.

Wow! Camera seemed a little bit buggy: despite it took photos, the screen was all dark. Maybe a problem with the recording app.

Looks really nice...
I have no data connection, only wifi is working.
It is not FULL ICS, it has htc.resources.apk in it, and the kernel is not AOSP.
Still a very nice job to get THIS working.

Do you reckon you would know how to sort this no text on Facebook out? I have data connection.

Wicked. I tried cooking some extras myself but I can't get the updater script to stop coming up with error 7 when its looking for four partions.

Extra Apps, like the gapps from first install but also busyboxq etc. I'm useless at it!

Just installed myself and first impressions are that its pretty good, but you do get the feeling that its not finished yet. Just tried installing Fancy Widgets and it wont detect my position for weather, GPS doesn't seem to connect, could be just me that one though. There is only market installed, no other Google apps.
Its pretty smooth though on window transitions etc no noticeable lag... Just run it through quadrant and got 2276
Camera only shows up as 3mp but video seems to show up at 720p all seems to work though, phone calls and messaging all work ok.
Edit: MMS doesn't seem to work, just FC's once you try

only tested it on cm7. it should work on any rom, or thats what the devs say. i was having the clipping problems so i edited the files to bring the levels down just a hair. now i cant get it to clip

I tried it on a broken beats Rom - Joelz TwoPointThree 3.5.
It flashed, the boot initially took a little longer but I went to try it and no sound. Should I try a different player instead of stock or a different Rom? I was thinking of switching to ICS momentarily because Newts 3.5 has gone broken on me.

Just flashed this on a new flash of the official CM 7.1. I haven't had any trouble with music playing or clipping. Just pure sound. Albeit I did not do a comparison so I cannot say if I hear a difference in quality but I am happy with it and will continue to flash it.

What is really Beats by Dre? Sorry

well if the rom didnt have working sound before its not going to give it to it now. so i guess it needs to be cm7

edit: nm with googles help i found the file, i can confirm it works on miui

Joelz new 3.5 had a broken beats file allowing it to not work. Now I switched to cm7, listened to the music first. Very shotty headphones (ifrogz) as my latest earphones died on me.
The sound was eh.. flashed this beats zip and came back to hear it, the clarity and quality increased so much. Should note there is a tolerable difference when not using headphones as your speaker phone may actually sound like bass. Well at least I can gear it, I will try it on Joelz 3.5 again. Cause there is no notification or anything say it works its difficult to pinpoint if it only works on stock players or various ones.
I am hopefully getting new earphones tonight, JVC Xtreme Explosives is what I'm looking at.

I've been using this mod since I saw it on the portal the other day. (or twitter. I can't remember)
It really does make quite a bit of a difference. For you guys trying it out, use nicer headphones. The difference is marginal on $15 skullcandy buds, but on high end speakers, it's really noticeable. Definitely worth the flash.

May i send to my ladies phone, sir? I have tested side by side with same phone using same ROMs (CM7 newest nightly) using 115 by Treyarch (yes the Black Ops zombie song) and quite a noticeable difference. Also not sure, but I had tested started with volume at 50% and my phone with the zip was louder by 2 notches (decreased volume to regulate) and her phone at 100% was to mine at 80%. I do not use DSP manager as I get a weird noise from it after any sound from speaker ends. Anyone else experience similar volume performance?

[Q] Aosp kernal

I've had a few android phones, I usually find what I'm searching for, but everything I've found doesn't really make sense.. I know what an aosp kernal means, but how do you go about making one, and how come we don't have one? Surley someone knows what to do?

An AOSP kernel would be useless unless you intend building a rom from source too. AFAIK there are no AOSP roms for the SXL.

We don't have an AOSP kernel, but we're looking for someone to actually make one since our devs don't really have the time.

I know we would need a aosp rom, but isn't that what we want, I hope that sometime soon we will have cm9, I wish I could do it but it's far above me, and I don't have a lot of time either.

Although cyanogenmod starts it's life with the code provided by the Android open source project, the final product is far from AOSP, i don't even think cyanogenmod would boot with a AOSP kernel. But i think were all agreed that we would love an AOSP or Cyanogenmod rom for the XL

Okay mate, cheers for filling me in. Looks like were gonna have to wait for an awsome dev to do it.

What's the best sense 4/ICS rom?

It's all in the title. Which rom are people most happy with and which has the leased bugs i.e. Camera, backlight, gps etc.

Nik aura is the best for me..Everything works except wifi hotspot. If you set the sense camera to 5mpx it works perfectly.

yeah niks aura rebirth is the one with the least amount of bugs gps does not work, but camera and the rest are fine.

the one ported by Nik is good,but the gps doest work,and i really need the gps.hope it can be fixed soon

I used Nik, it's excellent, if you want a Rom without sense, try IceColdSandwich 8.0, an excellent rom as well

that one is also a great. additionally, he said he already fixed the camera issue and he will upload the new rom till tomorrow.

Been using niks aura rebirth v2 and I must say it is pretty stable and bug free apart from a few niggles with the camera. But is actively maintained and I expect a fix soon. I used his earlier Rom too and it rocked. Would recommend this new ics Rom to anyone

I've been using Nik's Aura Rebirth Sense 4a v.2.0 rom since Sunday! Everything's working fine except wifi hotspot.
Known bugs, that appeared during the 2 days for me:
- After flashing the backlight fix, (happens quite often) when the screen goes off the backlights stay on
- The other frequent problem is, that the lockscreen shortcuts completely disappear
Camera works perfectly at 5 mpx and all-in-all the rom is smooth

Are u using the tweaks?
Did u use titanium or similar app to get ur apps back?
How's ur battery life? Are u running OC?
20 questions I know, but running trinity v4. 5 and very happy with it, but wanna give sense 4 a go.

[Q] Difference between Paranoid and PAC?

What are the differences between Paranoid and PAC?
Also anyone on either have some good tips to get call audio working? its really quiet and no headset mic works. I have fiddled with a bunch of build.prop settings and once had a decent setup but striving for stock sound got it borked again.

Both builds have in call volume problems as far as choosing a decent rom i would choose holics or wcx rom. Both are bug free and very good audio. But if ur itching for pac or paranoid i woild flash the viper audio witch will increase all volumes EXCEPT in call volume sorry. Our devs are working hard as to find a fix for these ongoing problems. Hoped i helped with ur decision.

Helped some, except I am already hooked on Paranoid lol.
It got me away from WCX, actually first one nice enough to get me off sense through 2 phones and a whole lot of flashing. and well I cant find the wcx site anymore but anyways. Viper audio is nice. Bluetooth works pretty good for calls at least.

Well to be honest im havimg flashing issues so i cant try nt new. Im on cm10 and not much of a fan. Its nice looking am thats it. Poor battery life horriable sound low incall need i say more? Lol i cant find any one that can solve my issue not even 3 dev fiends of mine can figure it out . Anyways i havmt tried paranoid but seen screenshots and benchmarks. Pac is ok i geuss but holics and wcx are the most battery efficient, stable, fast ,and for the most part bug free. If u lime paranoid i would stick with that since pac isnt all that
