TowelRoot

Wondering if anyone has tried towelroot on 4.3 for locked bootloaders, it says on the site that theoretically it should support any device build built before June 3rd.
I understand we have a locked bootloader but so does the Verizon and AT&T S5

Worked for me
I used it and it seems to work fine. Very easy, go the towelroot.com site, click on the symbol and download the app.I enabled installing from non-secure sources in settings/security. I installed the .apk and it ran, rebooted automically and I now have root. I am running Stock 9.2.A.0.295 now rooted without all the downgrading etc. Sweet! You must have read the same article on Androidpolice that I read.

Tried it yesterday on my locked Xperia V. It works, and so easy. Thanks for the heads up:thumbup:

Perfect! It is so ridiculous easy that I ask myself where the drawback is.

Thanks for posting!
Worked on my unlocked Xperia T, i can grant SU rights to applications, but I cannot update the supersu binary. Anyone else have this problem or is it my device ?
AT&T Build
Works on my AT&T Xperia TL, Android 4.1.2; Build 9.1.F.1.120.
SuperSU + Linux Deploy up & running.
-----updated: Terminal "su" works, but Linux Deploy = rebooting on "su" request, even with updated SuperSU
the OriginalPost might be best

Pretty sure this will be the best place for support, I saw a reference to the update of SuperSu there in the original post. Happy Days.

1. With the help of a file manger install TowelRoot
2. Install modified FlashgordonBB , and then with it PhilZ Recovery . Don't use the "normal" Flashgordon.
3. Flash Update Supesu in Recovery.
4.Reboot and install Supersu.
Set.

All right and I am grateful, too, certainly. That man deserves a beer or two, and some pretty girls, too.
But 150 pages of thanks - as great as it is - I think I'll just stick here.

Same here bro same here
Since rooting my LB Xperia T yesterday, I'm experiencing frequent disconnects in my phonecalls.
Anyone else has similar issues?
If you have problems with the play store SuperSU, use this: http://download.chainfire.eu/447/SuperSU/UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.99r4.zip
Worked on my Xperia TX 4.3 Stock with locked bootloader
May be we should report here which Xperia models have been rooted successfully using Towelroot?
- Sony Xperia V, .210

I don't think its good idea becouse some ppls can't root with it sucessfuly.
So SuperSu is advising an Update
So apparently, SuperSu is now offering an update - I was wondering what version, so I launched SuperSu and it updated after I allowed it, choosing "Normal" instead of TWRP/CWM - because I don't have a recovery installed. It worked fine and it suggested a reboot - which after that I had version 2.0. Works great.

To make some things clear in the beginning:
The Xposed Installer v2.7 is for devices running KitKat and below, whereas the Xposed Installer v3.0 is for devices running Lollipop.
Could you specify which device and what Android version you are using? Without those informations nobody will be able to help you.
If you are on a KitKat-based ROM, stay with Xposed v2.7. If you are on Lollipop (Android 5.+), check the official Xposed for Lollipop thread and use the flow chart in post #2 to identify the correct file for your device.
mine same as his problem.
mine is 4.3 (jelly bean)
mine also dont work. It says "the xposed framework is not installed. please download the zip file from xda and flash it manually via recovery"
please help.tnx. :crying:

Could you specify which Xposed Installer you have used? v3.0 or v2.7? v3.0 is for devices with Android Lollipop, whereas v2.7 (Xposed repo link) is for devices with Android <5.0. There is no need to flash the framework via recovery if you don't run Android <5.0.
Mine is KitKat and I run on intex aqua star 2 I used both 2.7 and 3.0 but the framework ain't installed

Kitkat won't use 3.0. Try getting it going with the regular 2.6 from the main kitkat thread before trying the experimental version. It's so easy, it really should just work

Did you flash the Xposed framework .zip through recovery? If not, check this thread for the download file (should be v80, SDK22 and arm64).

Let's see:
Android 6.0 -> SDK23
Nexus 4 -> ARMv7 (aka ARM)
So you need the xposed-v80-sdk23-arm.zip from here.
Don't forget to wipe cache&dalvik after flashing Xposed through recovery.

Which version of TWRP are you using?
EDIT: Nevermind, it's 3.0.
Flash this recovery by using ROM Installer and try again to flash Xposed.

In the post which I linked in my last post, you'll find a TWRP recovery for your device. Follow either the instructions from this post to flash this recovery or use ROM Installer (an app from Play Store) to flash the recovery file.
Afterwards, boot into the new recovery and try to flash Xposed.
Ok sure thanks a lot I will see what happens and keep u posted thanks a mill!

Xposed Framework Installation Help (Noob Here)
Can anyone tell me how to properly install Xposed Framework on Android 5.1.1?
I went through official Xposed thread, did whatever was told accordingly, and I got bootloops.
Can anyone tell how to install Xposed in a simplified way without getting into bootloops? I've rooted my Xperia ZR with KingRoot and Then I replaced that with Supersu, my bootloader is unlocked nd I have XZDualRecovery 2.8.21

The following link is to the XPosed Uninstaller Flashable zip files...
http://dl-xda.xposed.info/framework/uninstaller/
... and download the "xposed-uninstaller-20180117-arm.zip" file and flash it the same way you flashed the Wanam Framework.
That's Rovo89's Uninstaller but, it supposed to work on the Wanam Framework as well.
Good Luck!
