Can someone either give me the latest system dump from the LG Revo, or tell me how to do it from my own phone please ?
Also what version of the Android SDK do i need, i am assuming the latest, but i dont kno which that is, can someone link me to the one that i need. And I found out that I need ADB to do a system dump, and that it comes with teh SDK, is this correct ?
this is the one I downloaded - http://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html - and I downloaded the LGE Real 3D for LG Phones, The SDK Platform, Samples for SDK and Google APIs by Google Inc., tools for Android 2.3.3. But I can't seem to find ADB. ANd when i was installing these tools, in the manager log that shows whats installing and its progress, it says "Stopping ADB server Failed (Code-1)" so i am assuming it tried to install ADB but didnt seem to work for some reason.

There is a stock zv7 rom posted. It is a stock system dump, zipped into a flashable file.
Yea, but I just wanted to learn how to do it for myself
Can someone please help me with this. I really wanna learn how to do this. I wanna dump my phone from the state that it is in now. I would greatly appreciate anyone who helped show me how to do it.

1 Copy and paste the adb binary to a new folder
2 CD to the folder
3 Type "adb pull /system"
4 Delete the adb binary from the folder
5 There is your system pull
A simple Google search would have found that answer for you a long time ago lol. Not trying to be a prick at all, and I am definitely not a search Nazi, but it has been bumped several times now. I usually don't answer simple questions that have simple answers with a little searching, hence the reason I didn't answer this until now.

Its all good i get what your saying and i did run a search. I found out how to do it. But my main question was about running ADB. The instructions I found said i could do it thru ADB which comes with the Android SDK which I already had bur couldn't figure out how to run ADB and the searches I did on it weren't to helpful.
I always search before posting.

Run it through the cmd if you're on windows. Once you do that do cd (change directory) C:\(where ever your adb.exe file is)
On windows browse to the folder adb is is hold shift right click open command prompt here...or open command prompt cd then a space then to your folder adb is in.

No problem. It means All-In-One.

Where do I download that from
Sent using my rooted LG Revolution
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1348557 would be one of the AIOs. A smaller download may be in mtmichaelson Easiest Method to ZV8 thread.
On second thought, for what you're attempting, I think you should get LGPNST. I believe that's where it comes from.
For better, more thorough answers to your questions, go to the IRC channel and ask there.

Not to be a thread police guy, but I think this post should be placed in Hero CDMA Q&A section...
Thread moved to Q&A.
I am also having a problem figuring out the ADB Commands. I have searched and read alot of posts but still cannt get my head around it.
I open my command prompt in vista and I have c:\users\myname> then I type sdk\tools\adb and I get not recognized as a command . So what are some us doing wrong?
I am rooted
This thread is a good start. There is a full adb tutorial somewhere but this is what I was able to turn up for you with a quick search.

Hey all,
We've been working pretty hard to bring you unrEVOked 3.2 with out-of-the-box, one-click support for all Android versions on the Incredible.
Available for Linux, Mac, and Windows:
http://www.unrevoked.com/recovery/
Please start by visiting the help page and reading it through:
http://unrevoked.com/rootwiki/doku.php/public/unrevoked3
1. Windows users MUST install the HBOOT drivers for this to work:
http://www.unrevoked.com/rootwiki/doku.php?id=public:windows_hboot_driver_install
2. Windows users need to uninstall HTC Sync or any other program that might talk to the phone over USB (doubletwist, etc). Disabling HTC Sync from the system tray is not enough. They interfere with the root process and will cause problems.
3. When asked for USB connection type, select "Charge Only" and "Remember this".
Special thanks to Sebastian Krahmer for the rageagainstthecage exploit.

It's working flawlessly on our testing devices, but we are releasing it for a quick round of testing before distributing it more widely. If you are interested in helping us test, please join me in #unrevokedtest on freenode.net.
I'll replace the content here with the links to the updated tool once we've finished testing.

Can't wait to root my HTC Desire from US Cell... I hope the testing goes quickly!
it worked for me.
specs were
stock 2.2 with ota. no mods previously done.
now I have root with S-off
I would like to test since I took the OTA and lost root, but I am unfamiliar with freenode and can't figure out what I need to do.
Can someone please point me in the right direction?

There's nothing "loaded" with these, they just make modifications to your phone. If you're already rooted/S-OFF there's no reason to run them again.
this is great news. i'm excited for when this is released. but, this will just root it right? it wont turn s-off?
keep up the good work

I imagine it will be back up as soon as they work out the small bug(s) they found. I can't wait for it either, I'm ready for some for 2.2 lovin.
Hello,
First, thank you lufc, I haven't been on the forums for a while, so sorry. :3
Next, I downgraded my phone to V4 yet I'm still having this exact same problem. However when I execute rage it runs, then adb disconnects. I restart adb and the phone either discontinues to show up or is offline.
Anyone that can help me?
Thank You,
C
The latest firmware release prevents rooting. Look in About Phone, and if the version ends in V6 you'll have to wait for an updated rooting tool release.

OK Thanks!
I thought it had something to do with that. I just upgraded from my Eris and I haven't been on XDA for a while.

Go to #3 follow that step by step exactly ... make sure its exact ... if you do it right your phone should be running... if you have trouble pm the dark lestat and hell be able to assist you ... but download the v20p.kdz file go to that URL and follow it from step 3

I once had that error..
you need to make sure all drivers are installed.
when i got that error, a new hardware prompt came up and asked me to install drivers, a couple different usb/cdma and an omap prompt if i do recall.
you should be able to find the drivers in the guide to install the kdz
or check the lg site
hope this helps!
whatch the video from xda when u sign up... u just got answered with something is already answered... you just gotta look U.U
To be honest i'm not super skilled with all the updating and stuff, but when I updated my phone I did a live chat with one of LG's reps, stepped me right through it. It was surprisingly helpful considering how disappointing their support of the phone has been so far. But the devs on here have been awesome too, I've found all my answers just searching through the forums like the guys before me said
