ICS Overload - Nexus S Android Development

Kangy 15 and ICS themed gapps together at last. Kangy made by Haka so thanks to him. Amazing battery life since most apps are inverted and displaying mostly black.
Thanks also to mobile samurai to making some of the inverted apps.
EDIT: Now on ROM Manager!
It says Kany15.zip but I assure you it is the modified ROM.

Let me know what you guys think. This is my first ROM and it is a pretty small enhancement, I am learning and thought I'd post this progress.

and how does this belong in the development section? theres no development happening here. this should be in the general section.. its just wasted space in development.

just because its a custom rom it doesnt mean that your thread belongs here. when the developer of that rom starts a thread with that rom, then it will belong here. you are just making us aware about it, so it belong in the general section. the development section is for things that are in development, not for news.

I'm combining custom ICS themed gapps and HAKA kangy15. I'm just trying to get into developing but there's not really any places to learn so I'm trying to learn from others a d learn on my own. I probably put 2 hours a day trying to figure ROM making out.

Different OS's

Check out the Development section, count the sub-versions of each ROM found there, and you'll get to several hundreds of them.
Or just consider it one big OS called Android, in its variations. That will also be closer to the truth.
Personally, I run Windows 7 on my Nexus one.
Oh, you were serious?
Bro, every "flavor" of Android is still Android. One Operating system, different versions or "builds" or whatever they're called.

Then what are the different builds that can be ported and actually work.
The only ones I see are sense, CyanogenMod or MIUI....that's it?
What are others...

those are the mains ones right now, and of course dont forget to include stock but rooted ROM, like modaco ROM. then there are many variations of cyanogen broken off and customized to make their own ROM.
last year there were many more ROMs, so it has died down a little. but generally its still very strong ROM community for the n1.
no other OS's work except android OS and all its flavors.

[App] Gummy Power Manager 1.3.0

A lot of the people running GummyNex on their NS4G were trying to track this down so here it is. Can be used on other roms as far as i know as well. This is a very great and useful app. It let's you know you're estimated battery time left as well as has different modes that turn on/off certain things to improve battery life as well as the option to create your own mode. It had some other great features as well, such as the optimization which kills background apps and prolongs battery life. It's pretty sweet. Anyways. Follow link to download and check it out of you wish.
Read down to about post 10 for screenshots.

This was originally included in Elite Mod ICS by mobile_sensei and the app was developed by him as well. All thanks goes to him for this. If you have an NS4G please follow the link below to the elite mod ics done by mobile_sensei. If you enjoy this hit the thanks button for him.

Is the dx battery app the same as this? I had this before and then it said to update and I did. But the name got changed to dx batteryboost.
It is relatively the same app, however when I updated to it, it wasn't working properly so I just went back to 1.3.0. My advice, don't update until it's fixed.

Bootanimation Thread Epic 4g

Was wanting to see if we could start a bootanimation Thread that only has bootanimation. So here you go, I personally do not have a boot to post but was hoping this would make things easier for people.
Please give credit to those that made it. if you are just posting here for others... i also can not post links yet so. please help fill the thread
That is funny I was literally thinking about starting this thread earlier today. The one I am currently using is the high def droid peeing on apple.
http://www.sendspace.com/file/81094p
enjoy
Here is a video of someone running it on youtube.
So far one good boot looking for more volunteers to help out.

On Gingerbread, you have to rename those files "bootani" or something. (Sanim.zip?) Anyway, I could never get them to work after Froyo.

actually since the megaupload thing alot have been lost so trying to see if people will repost and i have done both myself so ya i get what your saying we could always try
I'll add another as I see the use for a dedicated boot animation thread.
Here is the android zapping the apple boot animation.

thank you for you dedicated assistance ... there is a boot animation app in market that can help with changing the boot but is not for everyone and well need to have root access
BAC is the app
