[ROM][MOD] MIUI 2.3.9 FR's CuK Release 3 - Huawei Ideos X6

This is the first Android ROM I have "cooked" from two other builds based on MIUI 2.3.9 GB.
: credited to CacingKalung (CK) & zukriaksah (aka Mr ROM porter).
Hence as a tribute to their endeavors, I have named it "CuK".
This has been a learning experience for me and my effort derives itself from the collective work of the developers on xda viz. llorn for the excellent mOCk kernel, the indispensable modules and libraries by TJ_Style & Issac87, and the Android modding community at large.
The objective behind this ROM was to improve on the previous builds, add all the patches available while trying to minimize any bloat in a single rom.
I have kept /system/apps/ to a bare minimum, so as to minimize battery drain.
To get to know what all is required and what all can be done away, I had to take the hard route of trial and error and have flashed and reflashed my phone around a hundred times today itself.
Although due care has been taken to keep this bug free and optimal, please do not blame me for any loss monetary or otherwise happening due to the use of this rom.
Please flash at your own risk. This is my first build and as such I cannot guarantee anything.
The following have been removed from the ROM (Release 1):
Code:
MIUI talk
MIUI status
ChromeBookmarksSyncAdapter.apk
com.google.android.voicesearch-1.apk
Email.apk
GenieWidget.apk
Gmail.apk
GoogleBackupTransport.apk
GoogleCalendarSyncAdapter.apk (calendar sync won't work)
GoogleContactsSyncAdapter.apk (contact sync won't work)
GooglePartnerSetup.apk
Updater.apk
MarketUpdater.apk
MediaUploader.apk
OneTimeInitializer.apk
pkg_1.2.1.apk
Play.apk
SetupWizard.apk
SpareParts.apk
Talk.apk
Vending.apk
VoiceDialer.apk
Stock wallpapers, some useless resources
All languages except English (even from PicoTTS)
Bootscreens and splash screens have been removed (your previous one shall remain)
All libraries have been handpicked.
I am certain that the incoming call volume is now fixed.
USB tethering works.
Timezone has been set to IST (+5:30)
The following have been included:
- mOCk OC (64 MHz - 2 GHz) and Undervolting kernel with 2 way call recording patch
- 4 Way Reboot Mod
- MIUI Extended Settings Control Panel with centre clock (overscroll mod)
- Jazzk % battery mod (appears with all MIUI themes which don't have a graphical battery)
- Ads blocker hosts included and enhanced to block all Google ads
- ICS Lockscreen (from CK's ROM)
- ICS Latin IME keyboard (from CK's ROM)
- window effect (from CK's ROM)
- Tapedeck app (installs to /data/apps/)
- Modified theme based on Black Ice theme as default (from CK's ROM)
- Spare Parts (CK's ROM accidentally has two versions in the ROM))
- CM7 camera beside MIUI camera (from CK's ROM)
- Angry GPS (from CK's ROM)
- Custom GPS.conf for Indian users
- SD card tweak
- Sony Bravia Engine
- Equalizer app (from zuk's rom)
- X5 settings (from zuk's rom)
- G-sensor calibration app
- E-Compass calibration app
- Power button app (zuk needs it )
- Compass
and the rest of the stock MIUI apps
- init.d tweaks from CK and zuk's roms
Known issues:
Wifi tethering still requires the use of third party apps.
Steps:
Enter clockworkmod recovery
Wipe Data and cache
Flash the zip file linked here.
You needn't wipe dalvik cache since the update script automatically does it.
The first release has been totally deGooglified i.e. no Google Apps have been included, not even some of the background Android services which imo only hog bandwidth and leech battery!
This is intended for those folks who detest bloat and have issues with Google's new privacy policy.
Download Release 1 here...
On request of members, I have made another fully loaded, googlified variant which includes all the system apps.
The stock apps have been replaced with their respective Inverted Google Apps (Gmail, Google+, Voice, Market, Docs, Reader, Translate, Search) and/or updated latest counterparts eg. [APP MOD] Google Maps 6.4.0 ownhere/Brut.all- NAVIGATION all roads..
Release 3:
(This is basically what I intended Release 2 to be.)
No headset issue or incoming call volume issue!
ICS Animations (removed previous ones, shall post a metamorph later for both)
Added Gallery 3D app.
Latest inverted apps.
Jazzk % battery fixed (was accidentally omitted in R2)
Improved GPS config for Indian users (tested).
Also, phone shouldn't heat up now.
Download Release 3 here...
I may be wrong with the liberties I have taken with this ROM.
Please feel free to correct me and post bugs if any and help me learn

Congratssss bro....!
Great work!
(But I think everyone are going to need vending.apk bro... It's Market / Google play)
Sent from my CSL-MI410 MIUI 2.3.9 using tapatalk

I use the inverted market/play (linked above )
I think lack of contact and calendar sync would hurt most (contemplating to include them in the next release) but I think syncing is superfluous when you can backup and restore manually using MIUI backup and Titanium.

Yup... That inverted google apps great, Market is there already.... I want to integrate them to mine since they are black themed also.
I'm also one of some people who always do sync for contacts and gmail (one of my priority mail), but not for calendar.
Once more... great work FR!
(PS: As I think you are also one of some people who like every simple things... May be you like to try lewa launcher on your rom. I posted it here)

Already integrated and testing Release 2 as I speak
And yes, it includes all the "bloatware".
I have tried Lewa launcher but I doesn't appeal to me.

which version of inverted apps i have to download ? ( full pack ET4G version ?)
i believe your first release had few battery hogging services stopped/removed which is not there in second release .
if i download first release and put the inverted apps pack things will be same i guess.
Once again FR .. great work and an impressive release

Downloaded Now, Will Install And Report If I Find Any Bugs

I have inadvertently put an unmodded SystemUI.apk in Release 2. Jazzk mod will not be working.
Shall post a patch later at night when I return home and for converting Release 1 to Release 2.
It would be best for those on Release 1 to wait for my patch since the ics keyboard in the inverted apps flashable pack will conflict and fc.

this is quite an unusual problem.
I'd suggest you to first reinstall lewa launcher, then install some home switcher app from the market and then switch back to the default launcher and then uninstall lewa launcher.
But any case, a fresh install should fix the problem!

Fresh Install , ya I know... got bored to download and set all required apps as per our need ....
update regarding problem : Install ICS launcher from market and no problem yet.....
Still will monitor till morning.... unless will use BRAMHASTRA that is fresh installation..

guys, I think its pointless to post a patch since it itself is like 70 mb in size.
I have released the uot mod for the jazzk % battery.
Those on R2 can simply flash it.
Those on R1 can simply update with R2 without wiping data and then with the uot mod.
Eagerly waiting for MIUI 2.3.16

The new gps I've noticed seems to be hit or miss. I will more than likely change the files back to S.gps2 as that seems to work best for most. Thanks for the feedback.
Just updated from Beta 2 to Beta 3. Everything feels smooth and great except that I haven't tried out the GPS yet. Thanks a lot for the wonderful work... Where is the stay awake option?
Music Player and Gallery don't load up anything on my phone, but MortPlayer and QuickPic from the market work fine. I have this problem with other ROMs too. Anyone know why?

Stay awake option is located in Settings > Applications > Development. Not sure on the music and gallery. You say this happens on other roms as well? I would try formatting your sdcard and copying all your music/pics back over. Don't forget to copy everything off of it before you do just to make sure you don't lose anything else that might be valuable.
Due to popular request been working on the pulldown to resemble the I9000's actual gingerbread.

Thanks for the suggestion! My music/pic files are in the internal memory (e.g., under /sdcard/music and /sdcard/DCIM), not on the external sd card. Are you suggesting to format the whole sdcard directory?

Yea I'd try formatting the entire internal. It's a PITA, but it might fix your problem. I'd definitely try giving it a go.
Can the Chinese keyboard be uninstalled? I really don't like it Also, can you update the camera with the same shutter button feature (press long for AF) you just implemented in TRIGGER 2.90 ... Great Tom so far ... super smooth and apart from GPS Isis not find any bugs!

New camera will DEFINITELY be implemented in next release. We are also going to try modding the I9000 camera to do the same thing since it's needed for ppl with FFC. I'll see about locating the apk for the Chinese keyboard and letting you know. I might make a flashable for ppl to remove it since I know it's not for everyone.

Are you still working on the Double Rainbow?
cuz that one is nice too
just wondering

Are you looking for a stable and smooth Gingerbread 236 experience?
A completely reliable and fully functioning daily driver?
Tweaked and modded as you have come to expect from a GB ROM?
Lightly Blured with an AOSPish twist?
A Clean Slate to modify as YOU wish?
Introducing a custom AOSPish ROM based on the deodexed Gingerbread 2.3.6 (4.5.141) Fruit Cake made by Xanadu. The ROM has been almost completely de-bloated and de-blured, and has many AOSP components.
Try to think of this ROM as a Clean Slate to modify as YOU wish. I don't want to force apps, gapps, themes, and launchers on you.
I will leave it up to YOU to decide how you want YOUR ROM to look and function.
First boot is slow (due to deodex). Just be patient and enjoy the AOSP boot animation!
All the features of CSROM plus:
Faux 1.45GHz 026b1 unified kernel
V6 Supercharged (1000HP)
Faster and smoother than CSROM
Still has great battery life
Apps open instantly!
The idea was to create a customized status bar that reminds the user of the dashboard of a high-end sports car with the color scheme of the Motorola boot logo. This theme, which is compatible with both CSROM and CSROM Turbo, includes the HTC Sense status bar, status bar icons, and notification drawer.

Gingerbread 2.3.6 (4.5.141) Stock Fruitcake
At the same time I was working on the ROM above, I also spent some time trying to understand the problem with installing Gingerbread 2.3.6 Fruit Cakes. There are many members of this forum, myself included, that have been looking for a Gingerbread 2.3.6 (4.5.141) fruit cake to return to stock. There are a few available on SamCripp’s thread, but there seems to be issues for some users installing them (if you search the thread you will find references to “System 7” errors). After trying to use these fruit cakes for a while I realized that I could not get them to install properly coming from a CM9/10 ROM, but coming from CM7 usually worked fine. After noticing that the GB 234 and 235 Fruit Cakes worked great every time, I started experimenting with install script mods. I eventually made one that works every time no matter which ROM I was currently running. The fruit cake I was using is listed on SamCripp’s thread as “2.3.6” and was also made by Xanadu and is pure stock. There is a download link below for my mod for anyone that is interested. If you use it let me know how it works. (Don’t misinterpret anything I have said above as a slight to SamCripp or ROM Factory – mad love for both!)
Many thanks to:
SamCripp for ROM Factory
Xanadu for making the original Fruit Cake
Installation: (flash at your own risk – all the usual disclaimers apply)
Nandroid backup
Flash ROM from recovery (no need to wipe – install script wipes system, data, cache, and Dalvik)
Download:
Stock AT&T GB 236 (4.5.141) Fruit Cake (current version v1.5): My AFH Atrix Folder
I just wanted to quickly confirm that I flashed this coming from CM7 and had no issues. The Stock GB ROM worked great.
Thanks again!
Editing a contact results in an FC, also the alarm & timer app is gone, it works without a moto account so you should probably re-add it. Some apps require an alarm app, ie go launcher's weather widget complains there is no alarm app when you click on the time.

I don't know. In theory, it is possible. You may find some useful info in the link below where AT&T users were able to use a Froyo UK fruitcake.

Sorry, I missed your edit. I added a link to a file containing all the Motorola apps I removed. Just unzip the file and follow the instructions in the Read Me file.
Just install a correct kernel. I flash faux's kernel in the last step and everything works

If you had problems with Gingerbread 236, then you will have problems with this ROM. The modifications I made are cosmetic and app related.

Hi, this is a ROM heavily based on the work of FXP
I wanted to share the ROM I put together for my own personal use (so I didn't have to flash lots of individual things) and wanted to share it with the community, as it is a very fast ROM (no thanks to me)
So to start with I am no developer, I have not made any of the things included in this ROM apart from adding a few tweaks to the build.prop
I merely compiled lots of different things and put them into this in the hope people in the community will enjoy
Download:
https://docs.google.com/open?id=0B4odobvu_awWXzNOWHFGM3h1MjQ - CyanoBean V3.zip
Recommended Kernel: Fusion (WiFi modules built into ROM)
Google Apps (gapps) Latest for JellyBean is: gapps-jb-20121011-signed.zip
Changelog:
CyanoBean V1:
Initial release
CyanoBean V2:
Added Rescan Media Root (Incase Walkman doesn't update to show music files)
Fixed build.prop errors causing pop ups saying "CyanoBean based on..."
Switched built-in Wi-Fi modules to Fusion 3.5
Cleaned up build.prop (removed pointless items)
Fixed "Download Music Info has stopped working" Errors
CyanoBean V3:
Updated to FXP 148
Updated QuickPic
Updated Apex
Updated Supremacy Script to Version 3
Removed build.prop tweaks
Removed unneeded fixes
Features:
Based on FXP 148
Apex Launcher Beta (a lot smaller than Trebuchet and has lots more features)
QuickPic (Amazingly fast gallery app that doesn't depend on the camera)
Xperia S Keyboard (removed default Jellybean one)
Supremacy Script V3
Walkman V Player
Removed a lot of applications and live wallpapers etc. (full list below)
Removed boot animation for speed and a small amount of space on the system partition (like 1mb haha) - Flash your own!
Screenshots:

Walkman V music app

"About" section
How to install:
1) After placing the ROM and any fixes (check in bugs for bug fix zip files) and flashing a kernel of your choice, boot into CMW (hold down menu button or volume down when phone lights up at boot logo)
Optional - Wipe data/cache and dalvik cache (if your ROM has any problems, do this step before reporting any bugs YOU WILL LOSE ALL YOUR APPS)
2) Install the ROM and then install the fix zip files (if any) and any wifi modules and Google Apps
3) Go into advanced and then wipe dalvik cache (if you haven't already done so)
4) Reboot the phone and enjoy!
Bugs:
Any bugs present in FXP148
Camera FIX: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=34771086&postcount=65
Removed APK's from FXP148

Forgot to check what I removed from 148, however it was the same as these pretty much:

Not a problem! Glad that someone wants to use it
checking
first look very optimistic
one bug found: once by once popup window with words "music inf. was unfortunately closed" .. or something like that (i'll edit, when next time its popup)
edit: it says "Unfortunately, app download.inf about music was stopped"
This seems easier and already has the walkman app, will flash acid mod and change launcher to xperia and Iwill be sorted - no need to work out fixes etc. cheers

Ah yes, I'm aware of this one, I just need to delete a file as the download music info doesn't work, I'll either have to delete it or find a fix for it thanks for the feedback! I was debating making it Aroma with options for things such as launchers and keyboards and music players
Temporary fix for the music inf. is to go into Apps in settings, then swipe across to all and then disable "Download music info"

Notice to all :
I will update with fixes for bugs built in as soon as possible once FXP 143 is out !
Is good in this moment - everything I need works properly and quite fast for me :good:
I think I'll stay on this compilation for now
this looks promising..i will wait for the next version when the bugs will be fixed.
im following this rom, in futures versions i try this, good work !!!! :good:
CyanoBean V2 released!
CyanoBean V2 released!
I'm not sure about using dev-host - the upload time was ridiculous and I don't think the download speeds amazing - will probably switch again for V3
Obviously I released an update before FXP 143 came out - that's because it's not going to come out, so I figured I'd just release a bug-free version
If Fusion kernel does not work with YouTube playback, please let me know so I can change built-in WiFi modules back to LuPuS and also change the recommended kernel section - thanks!
Feedback is welcome!
i'm currently using CM10 and i like how smooth it is, but sometimes is just a pain, everything become sooo slow and it's terrible, i have to reboot the phone so i can come back to the Smooth CM10 that i like, are u experiencing this in your ROM?
PS: Downloading while backup my Apps/data
I'm not gonna lie, I'm not sure if I'll continue to work on this rom, as although CM10 is smooth, you're right to say that it slows down, I'm also having awful battery life, no matter what rom I use, whether someone can confirm the battery life on this rom?
This rom removes Trebuchet which I believe is quite ram intensive in comparison to Apex,
It also removes a lot of other files which may or may not affect speed, but yeah, I might go back to stock sony soon, depending on feedback of this rom, if its good then I'll stay
You could try supercharging this rom, if you do, please let me know how well it works as I could install it by default

Ok, i'm now testing your ROM which i find more atractive than the FXP142 stock one since i didnt like at all the deafult launcher, i prefer much more the Apex one included.
Everything is smooth now, i'm testing gaming with Temple run at first and i must say that the first time i opened it, the game started lagging a LOT, i think it was like 3 fps max. After 25 minutes i tested again with my Battery Saver settings (364-1200mhz InteractiveX, SIO) and it ran flawlessly, very smooth. This setting got 3700 points in AnTuTu and the 1,4Ghz OnDemand, Deadline got 4,6k points which i think is huge.
i've now charged my phone to 100% and i'm gonna test battery + daily use tomorrow
Cheers
Is necessary install v2? Much fixed?
When I decide to do it - is full wipe needed? I'm on v1 now.
Battery is not bad in my opinion- normal use - 13 hours till 28% when I plug charger and go to sleep
second.. I don't know is that bug or there is something with my contacts app.. when I set individual ringtone for contact, phone is ringing default ringtone ever... I spend about one hour on that yesterday, and didn't fix it.
Whilst it's not necessary, it's recommended no data wipe is needed, but it will format your system partition,
V2 is essentially bug free from what I can tell and so I do recommend updating however there's not much change (check the change log) so if you're happy on V1 then stay there ,

Thanks
aaah..you convinced me to flash.I'm enyoing :highfive:

[ROM][MODDED PORT]Slimui - The genius of being small (~90 Mb )

S L I M U I
DISCLAIMER
This is not my work. The port of Miui.us to I9000 was made by Brad Heffernan (Link to Original Thread for SLIMUI 1.x and Here for SLIMUI 2.x).
My philosophy
Android has to be slim. It's all about user's own personality and individuality. Stock should be all customizable and as lightweight as it could be. Your phone must trully (hence freely) express yourself, otherwise go and buy an iPh... lol.
BASE
It's JellyBean 4.1.2. Hats off to MIUI Team for all of the beauty they added to a otherwise highly performant firmware. Also nothing of this continuous development would be possible if not for our phone's unsuspected brother, the Nexus S. And finally, big thanks to all the hard workers of the original porting to GT-I9000.
SPECIFICATIONS
NOTE: All features defined here are relative to the build 1.3
- Installation: I prefered the usual simplistic installer (not Aroma as in original)
- Bootanimation: Changed to match Miui.us logo
- Kernel: It has Semaphore 2.50sv, the only version with fully working Aroma Filemanager (you can even change permissions in CWM Recovery!)
- RAM: hugemem patched (390 Mb) with 720p recording and playback
- Modem: KB5, however it will not override your current one
- Display: It is 201 DPI.
- AriesParts: Yes, it has advanced Galaxy S controls (color tuning, in-call volume etc)
- Launcher: MiHome Launcher, it's Miui exported to non-Miui ROMs. Has preincluded Theme Manager (working with no need for Xiaomi account)
- Keyboard: Q2 Keyboard. Free, fast, customizable.
- Slimui Tuner: Aroma Installer add-on with all missing stock and Slimui/Mi (flashable in cwm)
NOT INCLUDED
- GAPPS: it has no (hopefully) google elements, apart Android (lol)
- A lot of Xiaomi stuff.
- Some Miui.us apps
- Libs and framework files that are not used (?)
KNOWN ISSUES:
- GPS: works, but it's Vibrant, lol. It has my tweaks, it doesn't use gps.conf, I doubt Vibrant ever uses it.
- 911: I don't know (and don't care, sorry US users: EDIT: See post No.2). I use Mr Psycho's RIL files (original Galaxy S files), which are CM9 so you were warned.
- Settings, About phone: Wrong available internal memory displayed. I don't know why, it is on every Miui 4.1 ROM.
- Lockscreen: It may behave strange on unlock (doesn't freeze, it simply doesn't show up). Maybe a MiHome Launcher issue (?). Solved in latest builds.
- Themes: Due to changed DPI some packs might not apply.

INSTALLATION
Warning
Make a Nandroid backup of your current ROM first! You MUST have correct partitions before you proceed (see CM 10/JB 4.1)! <== It seems there are some exceptions though
AND
You are the ONLY responsible if something goes wrong. Don't blame God, devil or me for screwing up your phone. Be smarter, think twice. LOL, don't be a noob, just grow up

Changelog:
NOTE: Only the changelog of the latest build will be displayed here
30/03/2013 SLIMUI 1.5
<<<PRIME NOSTALGY>>>
TEST BUILD 1
Changelog:
- English only
- Launcher: Stock launcher (all widgets working, except for Miui Weather - not included, has chinese cities only; hint - install instead Go Weather Widget from Playstore, it WORKS without Go Launcher Ex, it's best of all). Global Search widget needs Google's Search and Voice Search from Playstore - install apart.
- Theme: Black Ice theme (planned, needs many edits ). For now: Lockscreen & Lock wallpaper from Blues Theme (thanks to its dev Tony!) and Status Bar from Miui_4 Concept_ICS Theme (big thanks to its dev Jooode!). The original Black Ice 2.3 Theme isn't fully compatible with JB, for now only Icon pack implemented (big big thanks to its dev cgvelmax!).
- Locker: A very nice one, you'll like it (matches so well to the Prime aestethics) ^^^ see above
- New Miui Calculator, so cute interface! (from Miui 3.2.x Nexus ROM)
- MiFile Explorer: Updated to latest 3.1.6 Dark Blue build. Very strong release, fully working root explorer, archive manager. Credits to apooonet.
- Theme Manager: replaced with an older version that fixes the apply theme bug (downloads OK apply OK; no Xiaomi account needed, only formal consent on the first run). A side effect: won't let you change ringtones from within Settings, but through Theme manager itself OR by editing Build.prop lines (where ringtone and alarms are defined).
- Framework.jar patch for Mediascanner wake-ups bug (credits...Shoman94, thread here)
- Init.d: Removed scripts for scheduler and governor, were broken. New scripts for better Sd Card read/write experience (Benchmark friendly , thanks to Blackbean team and neobuddy)
- Browser: Baidu Browser instead of Miui stock one, a very powerful chinese browser (english translation). Credits to Baidu team.
- Keyboard: New Sony Ericsson Keyboard. Credits to _Sparks for porting it. Many languages and good prediction.
- Important: Superuser.apk replaced with Miui Security Guard. Fixed Su bug from 1.4 build (partial root)
- Maybe other little changes
Installation notes for Slimui 1.5 <<<Prime Nostalgy>>>:
- After the first boot, let it sit 5-10 min, then reboot
- It builds caches very slow, I don't know why (Miui 4 bug?). However thereafter it should be very fast
- It is still a buggy build due to theming and (maybe) implemented system tweaks, use for testing

mi2stock converter Link here Install in CWM Recovery. For now it will only install 2 stock apps, Miui Home and File Explorer. It will also restore the original theme (with icons and gadgets), which were previously included by default in the removed MiHome Launcher.
Slimui Tuner Link here Install in CWM Recovery. It is an AROMA Installer, will guide and customize the (un)installation of the missing stock apps. NOTE: You MUST select every app you want to keep, otherwise the given app will be removed! It will also wipe cache and dalvic cache, so the reboot will be a bit longer.
This is finally a slimmed down android version for the Vibrant. I tried requesting a version like this but never had luck. I will definitely install this when it's available. Thanks again

Flashed it but I keep getting android.process.media has stopped so I can't really test/play with it. I tried clear data from framework, play services, market, media storage, I tried fix permission in recovery etc, no go.
Edit: I did another full wipe and system format and its good now.

The ROM is indeed pretty small but faster than any other MiUi present. I just installed the rom & apps & phone is still fast enough.
Thank u!:good:
Edit: Doesn't sync contacts from Gmail(solved: Flashed gapps 4.1.2) !
Runs 720P videos in MXplayer without any issues.

I didn't include the GoogleContactsSyncAdapter.apk in the ROM, I didn't use it. But be careful, flashing GAPPS may breake your Playstore if it's not multi-dpi (use only the Slim Gapps, it works flawlessly on dpi 201).
Glad you like it
Edit: Links to original CM10 RIL and GPS binaries added (see post No.2). Flash in CWM recovery.
Edit 2: Seems that CM10 RIL files will break the phone call sound. Going to post the Miui.us RIL files from GT-I9000
Edit 3: Added Miui-us RIL files for GT-I9000, now sound is ok
I'm not quite sure if it is a bug or not, but in the google account, contacts does not appear so they are not synchronized to the cellphone, or maybe it is just my phone.
Everything else is extremely smoooth!!!
Best regards

Anyone check the sound on phonecalls?
"Restore CM 10 RIL files (see attached) <=== Phone call sound broken?"
Makes me doubt flashing this :l
Sorry, i'm a bit confused again, do I flash GT-i9000? (i realize vibrant is t959, but the way you word it in your other post makes it sound like the i9000 will fix it for us as well)
edit: Tried it, just not working out, looks like the default miuihome is much better, and using that in system/apps doesn't work because it can't make any widgets, even with root permission.
Very fast ROM though, nice job.

If you have flashed cm10-.1 or any cm10-.1 base ROMs you are fine. Just flash it.

Dr.Developer of this rom, do you have any idea which theme you used for this? Or where the .mtz is stored in your ROM file?
The lockscreen was the SMOOTHEST i've ever had, and I'm trying to get that on the other MIUI rom.

Datadata/com.miui.mihome2/app_built_in_theme/MIUI_default.mtz.
Actually it comes prebuilt in the launcher (MiHome).
What do you mean when you say you couldn't add widgets to the desktop? I have no problem adding any widget or folder I want. Just long press on homescreen, scroll the lower bar and you can also check out in the "More widgets", the last button to add others.
why late... cant wait...
Link <=== Removed untill I repackage the ROM, had to exclude some apps I've inserted without their dev's permission. Sorry But it will resurrect, even smaller, lol. Asta la vista.
plz upload fast...cant wait to try it...

I liked the lock screen but had troubles with it. It would disappear, after I unlocked it and then turn screen off it would not reappear when I turn screen back on until I rebooted.

in the op, did you do this?
It may behave strange on unlock (doesn't freeze, it simply doesn't show up). Maybe a MiHome Launcher issue (?). Solved: Go to Menu->Launcher Settings and then toggle off "Use MiHome Locker". You'll have now the basic Miui Lockscreen.

UPDATE 19/01/2013
Changelog:
15/01/2013 - First release, SLIMUI AIO. No more AIO in future, sorry
19/01/2013 - SLIMUI basic: I'll keep it as much MIUI as I can.
Now only 95 Mb!
Removed:
- All Google apps (including libs). Flash Slim GAPPS for JB 4.1. No Gallery/Camera from Google either.
- Voodoo Control. Sorry Supercurio Install free from Playstore
- AppDrawer: install free from Playstore
- Lbesec_miui.apk: too many permission dialogs and running in bg (you have Superuser and your IQ for that, lol). EDIT: It seems that the MiHome Lockscreen became much more fluid, probably for this reason?
Kept:
- All "Mi" apps: they are MIUI, modded or ported. In case of MiHome, it feels faster and has integrated Theme Manager, which won't ask you any Xiaomi registration.
- Q2 Keyboard: I'm waiting the dev's authorisation, though
Added:
- Miui Gallery and Camera, instead of the removed ones
Known issues: see OP
- Miui Camera: will FC on 720p video registration. This is a political issue, no comment.
INSTALLATION NOTES: On basic release (no AIO), you may install Slim GAPPS whenever you want, feel free to taste the pure flavour of Miui first!
Links and changelogs in post No 2. Links coming soon!
EDIT: Uploaded! Check post No 2 for download link.

[ROM][JB]|Mar 14| Energy™ -.¸¸.·´¯ Tweaks|Themed|APM / Official Base! ¯´·.¸¸. -

Welcome to the "Energy" ROM thread !
This development thread is the home of my "EnergyROM" custom firmware series for the Motorola Razr M. Here you will find ROMs that I have created for this device over time. My main goal when putting a ROM together is stability. A second goal would be a good, professional look.
I build my ROMs with four main goals.
Stability through private beta testing before public release
Eye candy ( I want my ROM to look great and for it to all flow together nicely)
Speed !!!
Smoothness, consistency and good aesthetics
I preconfigure a lot of things in my ROM, because when I flash it on my phone, I want it ready to go.
Now on to the good stuff...
(You can stay up to date on the status of my ROM development by "following" me on Twitter)
How to Flash this ROM:
- Root your device
- Install safestrap
- Create a ROM slot
- Install the downloaded ROM .zip found in post #3

Alright guys enjoy another ROM for the M. This is just a first release, let's make it better. I only ask one thing... Don't ask me to change the theme or don't ask me to release a ROM without theming. You can use the stock ROM for that This is themed and tweaked to my taste and I hope some of you like it enough to run it on your own device.
This ROM contains most of the Verizon bloat in it. I plan to release an Aroma powered version so the user can choose what they want to install. Or maybe just separate, debloated versions.
By "Verizon" bloat I really mean Verizon specific applications, like its backup assistant, visual voicemail, etc... not the spamware they loaded the phone with. Stuff that might actually be useful to Verizon customers.
I'd like to say that it's safe to restore your userdata partition (backup) over whatever ROM slot you install this ROM to and be back in business in no time, IF YOU ARE already running the stock JB ROM...
Hello NRGZ28,
I used your rom for xperia x1, nice to see a master at work on razr m! Great work!
Downloading and will install it . How good is battery life?. I see lot of black i your theme, does it have inverted gapps in it? .
On the lighter side have you checked any other ROM's available in this forum. I just asked so as to know more about battery life because that is the most important factor for me

Battery life is excellent because it's built on the stock base. Been running it on my phone for the last week and a half..
No inverted gapps... But the contacts app is dark as seen in the pics. Gmail is still white..
Thanks for ROM. Installed it on seperate slot. Will post my experience tomorrow. Can I install inverted gapps at the time of installation along with the above zip file ?
You can do whatever you want The ROM has disabled package signature checking, so you can install APKs from pretty much any ROM.
Best ROM so far for Droid Razr M.
1)Solved the problems of ciphering and Mobile tethering. Even though they can be done even after installing any ROM it is even inbuilt in this.
2)Secondly theme you used is amazing. Blue color is so cool and pleasing to eyes.
3) It detected all the settings all by itself. I installed all other ROM's and none had done that.
4) Reboot is included in power button option
5) No problems whatsoever with FC's as they are so natural in other ROM's. I dont want to criticize other ROM's but this is the best first build I have used ever. Zero problems.
6) However one application is missing. Application to browse files is removed. Even though its not a big issue it can be different environment altogether for some people. Hope that you kindly include it.
7) Bottom Navigation buttons sizes have been reduced which implies more screen space. I always thought that this modification should be done to as a default to many ROM's ( just saying ) because stock buttons are too big

ROM is very smooth. Once again thanks for this amazing ROM. I will be updating you with all the errors that I experience so that future users can get benifited from this
First problem faced . " unfortunately the process android.process.acore has stopped" . This happened when I started my device for first time. As I am Living outside US I got SIm card notification and then this this error. I am unable to open Contacts and Phone app because of this error . Can you kindly explain what it means and how to prevent it from showing up again ?
Whhooohoo! Downloading now, this looks great!
Hmmm seemed to install fine, booted fine, but doesn't get a data connection of any sort. Possibly related to the acore process that force closes when I try to launch phone or contacts app..
Anyone have any this issue? Installed to romslot 1.
Yeah I gotta work on fixing that acore FC that happens for some people. It seems to happen when you do a "dirty" install, without wiping data first. I'll work on a solution....

You have to have adb installed on your computer. Try googling.. "how to create a logcat"
