Just an idea and a question at the same time!
Anyways, is it possible to modify these render effect and make the dark colors more dark and light colors more light. I don't know, if its just possible its like a real Bravia Engine isn't it?
If its possible, what files should I edit to try it. Thanks!

ISn't it now possible to make some nice apps for somethings basic like Accent colour and other little manual tweaks..??

Anyway, I'm trying to theme ICS a different colour, some images will let me paint my chosen colour on top, but some use andom colours instead even though i have picked a colour, why is this happening? can anyone suggest anything that will stop that?

Try changing color palette from indexed to RGB, it should solve your problem.
So I opened up the framework-res.apk and noticed in the colors.xml file that both material light and material dark hex codes are already present. What is telling android to use the light theme? Shouldn't there be a way to toggle between light and dark? I am thinking there should be an easier way than tricking the system by swapping hexcodes out. This is really my first experience with theming so maybe im missing something
I just don't think they've implemented it fully yet is all. That said, there's always been holo light and dark built in since ICS too

oh ok. it seems holo light and dark are still present as well.
I cant stand the neon blue look, as it gives the environment an unfished "selected" feel, and it completely ruins the experience for me.
Please let me know if theres a manual way of changing the colour, or if theres an app / Xposed module or anything. Thanks!
