CedIME is an app to type English and Chinese, you can quit now if you only use English and other languages but not Chinese.
Traditional Chinese Input Method (IME): Changjie (cangjie), Quick, Stroke, Zhuyin
I found that Stock ICS Keyboard doesn't support Chinese IME and CedIME is one of the best Chinese IME but it only have GB theme.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...wMiwiaGsuY2VkaW1lLmlucHV0bWV0aG9kX3BpbnlpbiJd
So I themed it with ICS Holo style and share it to all who want it.
Changes in v4: (11/4/12)
* Base on different version of CedIME to add support of PinYin IME
* Illegal easter egg(Check the CedIME Settings if you want to get rid of Gingerbread Green)
Changes in v3: (22/3/12)
* Original polished holo theme
* Fit sized keyboard_key_feedback_background
* sym_keyboard_feedback_space is back
Changes in v2: (20/3/12)
* New keyboard_key_feedback_background
* Themed candidate_feedback_background
* Signed the apk so it's installable
Initial Release: (18/3/12)
* Themed the buttons to ICS style
* Themed the key press popup to ICS style
* Change the GB setting logo to ICS setting logo
* Removed unnecessary stuff
Installation guide:
Just install as normal APK

I just know there is two versions of CedIME, one with pinyin and one without pinyin
Don't know what's the author thinking
Will update it soon, add support to pinyin
v4 is up
Can u delete the internet access
Yea, deleting internet requirements is quite a good choice... i like the added easter egg of changing the suggestion text colour... now it looks really ICS like...
Anyway, CedIME lags very badly when used with CM9.. i wonder what is the issue.... hmm...
i love this so much!! thanks!!!
why I cannot slide the space bar to switch between chinese and english ?
also cannot disable the vibrate on keypress !!
all work fine with me... just a minor problem, bit of lag if used for pinyin input..
thx
Is it possible to allow the CedIME to use the JB voice instead of the Froyo one?

Noticed that there are tons of different languages to switch to in the Stock Android Keyboard...except Korean. Is there a way to get that language pack into the stock keyboard?

Thanks! But do you know of a way to get this language pack into the stock keyboard without having to change Input Method. You know the 'swipe on the spacebar' to change languages?
It's really weird that they have other Asian packs pre-installed but the obvious Korean, Japanese & Chinese.

This one looks like the stock gingerbread keyboard, but you can swipe to other languages like korean, etc. You can even install the hanwriting plugin for this keyboard.

Thanks! Using MultiLing Keyboard to type this right now. I guess this is as close as i can get.
Just started using it and it works great!
Just have two questions:
1) Where can I configure the statusbar pulldown appearance? I want it to looklike this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=814890
2) Is there anyway to change the keyboard layout to include the "ñ" key? I have it set to spanish, but the layout stays the same, I still have to keep the "n" key pressed to get the "ñ"
thanks a lot!

If I understood your question , then
1) Change your theme to some other CM7 theme. That changes the pulldown appearance.
2) Change your keyboard. Use some third party app. Try Swiftkey. I think it has this letter.
I guess for the 1st question you could either: Change theme to a CM7 theme in the theme chooser and market, or you could try flashing it, but i dont think it will work with our phone, so IMO get a CM7 theme
use go keyboard(free) install spanish
Hey, I also yesterday installed GDX and it works gr8 inspite of some sound issues with songs(i had crappy sound tell me if u also encounter them)
Now, for
1. Get couple of CyanogenMod themes by searching them. They change the look of ur phone and including status bar.
Get themes on
h t t p : //forum.cyanogen m o d . c o m/topic/17567-list-cm7-theme-chooser-themes/
[Remove those spaces in the link as i m not allowed to post links as a newbie]
and for
2. Use a third party keyboard app. Try using GO keyboard, Swiftkey or SlideIT

OT: I like the person above in spite of being newbie he did a good job sharing thru his exp. Keep it up tdhawan mwah
You deserved your first THANKS
Thanks a lot everyone!
For 1: I looked into the theme department, but was a little overwhelmed with all the alternatives... what are some of your favourites?
For 2: I tried Go Keyboard but it doe3sn't have the Ñ, I'll take a look at swiftkey.
thanks!
Also, if I don't change the theme, can I at least add more buttons to the pulldown menu? the APN switch is what I need.
thanks!
You can found the available widget in
System >> Cyanogenmod setting >> Interface >> Notification Power Widget >> Widget Buttons then check the widget you want

Yeah, i would recommend sony keyboard, but if you want that certain letter, try swiftkey. Slide it would also be an alternative.
HI Guys,
I wish to use Jelly bean ROM thats available here but only thing that made me come back to Sense 4.0 Rom is that the JB Android doesnt have the T9 Keyboard that worries me much Is it possible just to port or zip that can get the t9 keyboard to CM10 or PA Rom
I tried another app for t9 Keyboard but it sucked HTC Keyboard Rocks!!
Can anyone port it? Possible??
To put it simply, you can't have any HTC app without all the others. So, you can't have the sense keyboard without any sense framework and other things it relies on.
Closest you can get is with a third party keyboard and a skin. I use Smart Keyboard Pro on AOSP roms

Did you download the english dictionary from the play store as well? You need that Also do a calibration from the keyboard's settings, that helps calibrate to your writing style
Hi!
I am not entirely happy with neither the stock keyboard (space bar to narrow, I.keep.hitting.period.instead) nor the Google keyboard whch is available on the Play Store (umlauts (äöü) need left or right swipes to get to because the numbers are the standard option after a longpress). However, the Cyanogenmod Keyboard fulfills both requirements.
Could someone please pull the Textinput.apk from a CM-Rom so I can replace the Google one with the CM Keyboard? Or better yet, compile the APK for me to be installed independently? I would very much apreciate the effort!
EDIT: Just tried it myself, downloaded CM, copied it to SD, installed. But the numbers are still default on a long press. Could someone please change the keyboard language to German and longpress o and u? see if 7 and 9 are the default longpress letters? thank you!

I have this problem, when I change a theme of UI, it changes google keyboard layout. I use Kitkat keyboard with CM10 Mini rom. Kitkat keyboard is the only one I like, because it doesn't use many resources and I can change long press duration. Is this problem solvable?

It should depend from them-to-theme. Which theme are you using?
tried simplex, simplex blue, lunar, ubuntu - all the same
It's seems that it's know bug.
